Sugar Palm Karon Resort - Phuket

Me and my husband stayed at Sugar Palm Karon for 1 week in March,and was really satisfied. The location could not be any better!! - 2 minutes to the beach and right in the walking street with all of the shops in the heart of Karon, really nice :) We had a room with a pool acces and that was just SO NÌCE. The room was beautiful, clean, nice and very […] cozy and the pool was really good. The breakfast was nice and we where overall very satisfied. The bed was great, good cleaning. If i can say anything bad is it the internet connection wich was very poor and the staff could not speek english and did not know anything about the IT system, so that was not so nice :( but everything else was perfect and i can really recomend this hotel for both familys and couples. Karon is a nice quit town with a good beach and nice restaurant :) If i come back i will stay at Sugar Palm again. Great value for money. Mehr

THIS HOTEL HAD A VERY GOOD, LARGE SELECTION BREAKFAST. THEY MAKE YOUR EGGS FRESH FOR YOU WHILE YOU WATCH. THE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND SHOPPING. staff friendly and accomadating- had booked pool view after reading reviews but got upgraded upon arrival to pool access and the privacy factor wasnt an issue in my opinon. nice touch with the free drinks in the mini bar and the apple tv. walls are thin and the pool tiles need a good scrub.

Sugar Palm is a nice hotel with a very friendly staff. The surroundings are good with a long beach within five minutes walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The interior of the hotel is bleak. There are no pictures, paintings, colors, anything. Walking down the main passage it looks like a government building. The room is also lacking in any decor, except color accent pillows. On arrival I complained about the cigarette smell. The opened the window and said there was no other room available, except on […] the first floor. Those rooms had a view of a concrete wall one meter away that separated two hotels. I took the room and got used to the smell. The pool looks good from a distance, but the algae in the tile grout indicates there is a problem with cleanliness. The waterline of the pool looks like it was never scrubbed clean. It seems they are using a salt water system, but it is not very effective. The location at the corner of two main streets and a few hundred meters from the beach is very good. The town itself is depressing looking. It is a typical small Thai town. The sidewalks are covered in motorbikes so people walk in the streets. Wires hang down off the telephone poles. They are a major tourist destination. They should do better. Mehr

Very good location .

Nice. The location is great with the beach and the Karon town with a few miniutes walk. However, the housekeeping service is a little bit disappointed. We found that they never clean up your finished dishes of the room service even we had put them in front of our hotel room. We had finally put them to the restaurant ourself.

I would give 3 star for the hotel, so if u expect more - don't do it, in general nice place to stay and enjoy neighborhood of nice bars, restaurants, massage places and of course BEACH!

Hotel for price was ok. Location was great, service from staff good, facilities adequate to enjoy the holiday and a great pool. Features in room made rainy days easier to pass by as they were fitted with lcd and dvd players plus cable tv. Some areas which need addressing or improvement would be breakfast. Flies, bee's and all sorts of insects all over […] the food. Quality was poor and no variety. Beds were super hard to making enjoyment of sleep close to impossible. Mehr

The hotel was very modern and the quality of the hotel service went above and beyond what we expected. The price of the rooms was so cheap and the service was brilliant, even with the language barrier. Have already recommended to friends and will continue to do so and will stay there again if I ever visit Thailand again.

I stay in sugar palm kata for a night and this for a night! this is slightly smaller as it is in the heart of the centre, 5 minutes to the beach! But compare to patong, this is a much more better place, and just 5 minutes away, there is a local night market and u can get tastier and cheaper food there ( as living expenses in phuket is quiet high). I booked this hotel based on the reviews i read here. The price is very good, the room are huge (especially the bath room), the beds are big and comfy. The location is great - we r just 1 street away from Karon beach (about 5 mins walk). Forget about the breakfast in the hotel that is way too expensive. Local cafes does better breakfast at 10% of the […] price. when booking tours, pls DO NOT just compare price. We booked a really cheap day cruise to PhiPhi island and really regret it. Great hotel, close to the beach, huge pool. Request a poolside room, preferably first floor. Breakfast buffet too expensive, very good restaurants nearby. Don't signup for any tours on the ride from the airport. It's much cheaper at the local tour brokers.

Close to beach , close to bars and restaurants, but just far enough to be quiet. nice modern rooms, good breakfast, quiet pool, good value for price.

This hotel is quite affordable and really good value for money. The breakfast is delicious and fantastic. The hotel room is clean and spacious. It has a lovely pool. Overall the decoration is modern and just nice for family trip. Hi!! Well the hotel is quiet good specially the rooms facing the swiming pool as the view is nice. I was on the 4th floor the room was well equipped, mineral water free, razonable prices for the room because was out of season. Telephone calls very expensive. Parking and wifi for free. This is a good hotel even if the nice design has been used heavily. I moved down the street to Keta beach and stayed with the same hotel chain and it was a much better experience (nicer area) for not that much more.

The hotel was nicer than we expected considering that is was not one of the most expensive hotels in the Karon Beach area. It location is very convenient (2 min walk to the beach and right by a lot of shops and restaurants). The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and the pool area is very nice. The only negative comment was that […] the hotel room walls were quite thin and so we could hear quite a bit of noise from the corridor. This only disturbed us on the first night though. The hotel was wonderful and gave us much more than we expected. The pool was beautiful and we were literally 3 blocks from Karon beach itself. The room was clean and tidy when we checked in and the layout of the hotel is wonderful. Lots of fun shops and resturants literally steps away.

The hotels has very nice en luxury rooms. The rooms a very clean. The service is very good. The help you whit every thing you need. The very close to the beacht, just cross the street and your on the beach. The hotel is also located in de middle of all reastaurants, bars and shops. Close to Patong beach and Phuket city. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Excellent chioce of dvd's for a quiet night in. Love the swimming pool. We foung a tour operator just down the street who took care of our trips to phi phi and our sightseeing and gave us huge discounts for muiltiple trips. The only things I can complain about is that we had to wait for 2 hours […] in the un-airconditioned lobby as we arrived in the morning and our room wasn't ready. Also the room service was slow-it took almost an hour to get two sandwiches delivered. Overall, a great hotel, staff very helpful and very comfortable surroundings a stones throw from the beach. Hotelli oli jo parhaat päivänsä nähnyt, Olimme alimmaisessa kerroksessa, josta oli suora pääsy altaaseen ja siellä haisi home! onneksi olimme vain 2 yötä siellä. Palvelu oli hyvää

Härligt hotell till bra pris via hotels.com. Kanon med poolen ansluten direkt till hotellrummet och att det var en gratis cola, öl och juice utöver vatten. Det fanns dessutom en Apple-mediabox kopplad till tvn, höjde lyxkänslan. Negativt var den stenhårda sängen och att personalen hade dålig engelska.

Rummet vi hade var ganska stort och med poolaccess. Bra priser och nära till allt. Man fick en gratis cola, öl och chokladbit i minibaren varje dag. :) Och vatten förstås. Poolen var dock jättesmutsig (främst kanterna runtom poolen, inte själva vattnet) och hotellet kanske därför passar mer för folk som vill bada i havet. Stranden och vattnet var jättefint. […] Men för detta priset och för hotellets läge skulle jag dock rekommendera detta hotell. Skaplig frukost. Tips: Karon view point, jättefin utsikt! Mehr

要求有泳池相連的房間，這個價格也算便宜，而且鄰近karon beach ! 步行3分鐘便到達！附近很多不用類型的美食，要平價／高檔食物都有！酒店職員在有需要的時候一定幫到你！

Всё очень близко, и море, и кафе, и весёлая жизнь, и прачечная, и массаж. В тоже время в отеле тихо, он расположен в немного в стороне от дороги. На ресепшене, естественно, по-русски не понимают. Но проблем с общением не было - жесты, простые английские слова, цифры - на калькуляторе. Wi-Fi внутри свой, бесплатный, тормозит не сильно. В номере плоский […] большой телевизор, DVD-плеер, цифровой сейф, ванна, душ за занавеской, холодильник, кондиционер, чайник, фен,розеток достаточно и расположены они удобно. Интерьерчик уже покоцанный, но всё работало исправно. В общем не Версаль, но лично я остался доволен, если будет возможность, в будущем остановлюсь нём же. Mehr

Mycket trevligt hotell och bra i alla lägen. Super nöjda på alla sätt. Hade rum med pool direkt från balkongen, klart härligt! Frukosten var mycket bra och en liten promenad till både beach och huvudgata där det mesta fanns. De har numera också bar på hotellet, vad de tydligen inte hade förr. Helt klart vi rekomenderar detta hotell.

Hotellet ligger i början av gatan med alla restauranger och med nära gångavstånd till stranden. Rummen är av mycket god kvalitet och god luftkonditionering. Riklig frukost med äggkock. Mycket bra service från personalen som verkligen bryr sig. illgången till internet är god. Den fungerar med en stark signal. Vid poolen saknas parasoll och stege att […] komma upp ifrån vilket gör att man drar sig ifrån att vara där längre tid. Bar saknas. Hotellet kan verkligen rekommenderas. Mehr

Trevligt hotel med bra personal.

We waren aangenaam verrast door dit hotel. Prijzen waren meer dan OK, prijzen van drankjes uit de minibar en snacks in de lobby zijn bijna net zo goedkoop als de supermarkt. Kamers zijn relatief groot, modern ingericht, en schoon. Badkamer ook erg keurig. Af en toe een nieuw likje verf en kleine reparaties had alles perfect gemaakt. Gratis WiFi is ook […] altijd fijn, ware het niet dat het ontvangst niet overal zo goed is als in de Lobby. Zwembad was leuk, ondiep maar meer dan OK. Omgeving was ook OK, er zijn redelijk wat leuke eettentjes in de buurt. De zee en het strand zelf (wat op nog geen 5 minuten lopen van het hotel is) was op het moment dat wij er waren niet echt aangenaam, rode vlaggen gaven aan dat er ´Riptides´ waren en dan wijk je uit naar een ander strand waar het wat rustiger was. Karon zelf was voor ons ook iets te rustig, dus zijn we vaker uitgeweken naar de omliggende plekken. Al met al toch een goede tijd daar gehad, dus aan te raden. Mehr

空港から約1時間。 宿泊は１Fのプールサイド ビーチまで徒歩5分。 パトンへはソンテオで約１０分。 徒歩圏内に、タイ飯屋が多数あり 便利でした。 3泊4日の滞在でしたが不満無。 WiFiも無料でした。 のんびり滞在派の方にも良いと思います。 日本人滞在者、遭遇無。 ビーチは西側なのでサンセットビーチで綺麗でした。 お風呂バスタブ有で、のんびり寝そべって入れました。

Отдыхали с мужем в начале апреля. При выборе отеля для нас были важны: местоположение и инфраструктура, удалённость от моря и новизна самого отеля. Теперь обо всём по порядку. Местоположение отличное, рядом множество ресторанов и магазинов, есть большой супермаркет BIG 1 на соседней улочке и 2 небольших 7/11, много других маленьких магазинчиков, лотков […] с фруктами и магазинов, где продают тайские СПА продукты (один, специализированный, прямо напротив отеля, другие называются Bamboo). Море в 1 минуте пешком от отеля, 2 если медленно. Не смотря на то, что отель стоит на оживлённой улице, он немного в стороне от дороги, шума совсем не слышно, разве, что голоса ресторанных "Элвисов" тайского розлива, и то не до поздна. Сам отель на первый взгляд довольно новый и современный, но уже довольно потрёпанный, в номерах светло, но свежести интерьера уже нет. Кровати и мебель со сколами, стены грязноватые. Самое важное, отсутствие звукоизоляции между комнатой и коридором. Ощущение, что дверь всегда открыта, но соседей при этом не слышно. В отеле есть бесплатный интернет - 4 компьютера на 2-ом этаже, и есть Wi-Fi. Не смотря на полное отсутствие собственной территории в отеле ОЧЕНЬ много гостей именно с маленькими детьми, т.к. в отеле есть большой лифт. В отеле было 90% русских гостей. Завтраки вполне приличные, особенно хочу отметить качество кофе, на удивление хорошее. Всегда много фруктов. Общее впечатление от отдыха очень положительное, отель для 3-х звёзд вполне хорош.
