Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 18. Feb. 2013Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und sauber. Auch die Badezimmer sind zweckdienlich und erfüllen ihren Zweck gut. Besonders die gute Internetverbindung hat sehr überzeugt. Das Hotel hat keine eigene Speisemöglichkeiten, jedoch sind im Nachbargebäude des auf einem Rastplatz an der Autobahn gelegenen Hotels Möglichkeiten gegeben (Cafe, Fastfood, Einkaufsmöglichkeit, etc). Sollte man nicht über die Autobahn anreisen, muß man sich über ein Verbotsschild an einer Straße hinwegsetzen um zum Hotel zu kommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gerne mit Tipps zur Stelle. Alles im Allem waren wir im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften sehr positiv überrascht, vor allem zu dem sehr günstigen Preis, den wir bekommen hatten.

"Cosy, Friendly, delicious food!"
We arrived quite late - after 7pm - but the welcome couldn't have been more friendly & helpful. We sat down in the restaurant immediately and enjoyed a delicious meal... the first of many over the week. There were a few little problems with the room - strange plumbing, broken door handle, noisy boiler next door - but all these were dealt with straight […] away, with a good attitude and to our complete satisfaction. The new owner is improving the facilities and is committed to guest-satisfaction. We would definitely return for another stay. By the time we left we felt part of the Ragged-Cot family. "A rare and lucky find"
One of the best places we've stayed in England and certainly one of the best restaurants. How nice to find a menu which delivers more than it promises. Fish soup would have got a good mention in France and the duck was generous to a fault. Breakfast was good too. The Ragged Cot is a good hotel trying to be great , the service in the restaurant and bar is exceptional but the cost to stay is priced too high for the basic rooms which have thin walls, you can hear everything from the above room and people in the hallway, Breakfast is lovely if you have tthe time to spend lingering, we arrived @ 8 when they started […] service and were still waiting for the food to arrive at 8:45 , good job we had settled up before we went through to be seated. "Very nice indeed"
Wonderful stay, relaxed surroundings and very friendly staff. Breakfast was first class. We even went back the following night to eat in the restaurant (they were full that night otherwise we would have stayed again).Only criticism I would give is minor and didnt affect our stay - as a hotel guest, on arriving, it was not clear where check-in was (its […] hidden behind the bar area) and as the barman was busy serving, we decided to have a glass of wine before going to our room. When we were ready to retire, the person showing us to our room went missing and we were left hanging around like a spare part for a while. A first rate motel with excellent bar and restaurant. particularly enjoyed the salmon and eggs breakfast cooked to order. It obviouslty caters to an upscale clientele. I stayed here one night enroute to an appointment. I arrived about 9.30pm and was welcomed by friendly attentive staff. The room was great, modern fittings in a rustic setting - very tasteful and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and breakfast was a delight, with plenty of options. Lovely hotel, wonderful evening meal and good breakfast. We chose a premium room which was a good size . Only down side was it was directly on the Cirencester Road and there was a lot of traffic noise, leading to a distrubed nights sleep. Shame for having paid the extra for a bigger room it was then let down by traffic noise. At least some of the standard […] rooms seemed not to face directly onto the main road so would have been quieter. Can't fault the food, staff or cleanliness of the place. "Weekend at The Ragged Cot"
We arrived late in the evening on a Thursday night after travelling for over four hours to get to Mitchinhampton. We were in the area for a wedding and had picked The Ragged Cot as it was near the wedding venue and the price seemed reasonable and photos looked good on the website. From the time we arrived, to the time we departed, we couldn't fault […] anything about the hotel. The customer service was fantastic and we got the feeling that nothing was too much trouble to arrange. The hotel room itself was lovely and impeccably clean with a king size bed which was very comfortable and a neat bathroom with plenty of toiletries for guest use. The breakfast served the next morning was delicious and again the service received was second to none. We visited nearby Cirencester for a few hours but then returned to the hotel to sit in the beer garden and have a spot of lunch. The food in this place is really good and for a Friday lunchtime the restaurant was busy, obviously popular with the locals. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and if I find myself visiting the area again it will be the place I would choose to stay. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
