Ruhig gelegen, Innenstadt trotzdem fußläufig erreichbar. Direkt an der Jamson Distillery gelegen. Supernettes Personal, hilfsbereit. Leider ließen sich in einem Zimmer die Fenster nicht öffnen. Als wir uns beschwerten, bekamen wir ein neues Zimmer. Zimmerausstattung ist einfach aber sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Gemeinschaftsräume im EG sind sehr ansprechend, großzügig, loftmäßig, modern, auf mehreren Ebenen. Super Atmosphäre. Gut für jung und alt.

Zimmer top, etwa 15..20 min vom Flughafen entfernt. Shuttle ca alle halbe Stunde. Service im Restaurant quasi nicht praesent, haben jeweils eine halbe Stunde auf Bestellen koennen, Nachbestellen und Zahlen gewartet. Essen in Ordnung.

Dieses Hotel ist sehr modern und gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind sauber und haben die übliche Ausstattung. Die Lage ist auch ziemlich gut - man kann eigentlich zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten laufen (auch wenn man bis zur Südseite der Innenstadt vielleicht 20 min braucht). Die einzigen zwei Nachteile waren, dass es nachts auf dem Flur recht laut war und die Tür nicht richtig schallisoliert ist, und dass das WiFi nur in der Lobby, aber nicht im Zimmer funktioniert.

Wir waren für fünf Nächte im einem Dreierzimmer untergebracht. Allerdings im Basement, was aber durch die Grösse des Zimmers wettgemacht wurde. Badezimmer und Hotelzimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Lage ist hervorragend, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Angestellten freundlich.
Lage
Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge liegt in Dublin in der Nähe von Royal Dublin Society, Landsdowne Road und The O2. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: National Gallery of Ireland am Merrion Square und The Convention Centre Dublin.

Ballsbridge ist eine ruhige und exklusive Wohngegend mit viel Grün, etwa 20 - 30 Minuten zu Fuß von der Innenstadt entfernt und durch regelmäßig verkehrende Busse angebunden. Der Kanal fließt mitten durch das Viertel. Auch wenn große Teile dieser Wasserstraße nicht besonders sehenswert sind, gibt es doch nahe der Richmond Street-Brücke einen angenehmen Abschnitt mit Pubs am Ufer. Mit dem Geburtshaus von George Bernard Shaw befindet sich außerdem eine beliebte Sehenswürdigkeit ganz in der Nähe.

"Unser Zimmer war laut"
Wurden jeden Morgen vom Mülldienst geweckt, am Anreisetag war im Nebengebäude Disco bis spät in die Nacht. Um 8:30 wurde mann schon vom Zimmerservice gewäckt. Die Betten waren sehr durchgelegen.
"Super Hotel, in 5 min mit dem Bus in die City"
Dieses Hotel ist sehr gemütlich und sauber. Das Frühstück ist zwar recht teuer, aber in der Stadt kann man kaum günstiger essen, da in Irland allgemein Essen und Trinken sehr teuer sind. Zu Fuß ist man in knapp 30 min in Dublin City, mit dem Bus nur 5-10 min je nach Verkehr. Für eine Städtereise perfekt.
"Eines der besten Hotels, in dem ich gewesen bin"
Da ich berufsbedingt fast jede Woche mindestens ein Mal im Hotel übernachten muss, kann ich sagen, daß dieses Hotel wirklich Top ist; dies war allerdings eine private Reise. Große Zimmer, ruhige Lage (trotz Straße in unmittelbarer Nähe), herrliches Anwesen mit kleinem Park, tolles Restaurant und super Service sind nur ein paar der Highlights. Nur drei […] Minuten Fußweg entfernt befindet sich die DART-Station (S-Bahn), mit der man innerhalb von etwa 10 Minuten das Zentrum Dublins erreicht. Fußläufig sind unter anderem der Elm Park, der Herbert Park und das Gelände der University College Dublin zu erreichen. Insbesondere für sportbegeisterte (passiv) bietet sich in der Umgebung eine Anzahl an Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. Es sind zu Fuß gleich vier Stadien erreichbar: Rds Arena, Donnybrook Stadium (beides Rugby), UCD Bowl (Fußball) und das Aviva Stadion (überwiegend Rugby, auch Fußball und andere Sportarten). Ein Nachteil: Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind eine ganze Ecke entfernt (wir haben sie nicht aufgesucht, da wir für zwei Übernachtungen alles dabei hatten. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert. "Good value for busy weekend"
We stayed Easter weekend and got a great 1 night rate. Clean and comfortable. We didnt avail of the breakfast. Lacking a few little things which i thought would be standard in bathroom no matter what rate you paid. No shampoo or conditioner in shower and no soap in the sink. The only soap was the shower gel. Only one set of towels out in bathroom even […] though there were two of us staying but there was a spare set in a drawer in the bedroom. Mehr
"Good location, reliable quality"
I stayed for two nights and had one breakfast there. Its clean, well positioned for Dublin and also trips out. Not the best room if you want to work as the television is located above the desk which is too low and has poor seating. Evening food is good, but breakfast very poor. "Lovely Hotel"
Ive stayed int this hotel a few times, its great value and in a very nice area, beautiful old building, the rooms lack a bit of imagination but are perfectly clean roomy and comfortable! food is lovely and has a nice big bar downstairs. its perfect for a weekend in dublin shopping or going to a show.

Friendly and helpful service. Reception printed our flight boarding cards for us. Great traditional Irish breakfast and clean rooms. Will certainly return on our next trip to Dublin.

A very poor and old 3star. Breakfast was also very poor
Enjoyed our stay at the Bewleys Ballsbridge. Rooms were basic but perfectly clean and had everything needed. It does not provide separate shampoos/shower gels etc but I knew that going. Excellent value for location, especially the breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Provided a very useful and reasonably priced bus service to the O2 and […] back. "Bewleys Ballsbridge Dublin"
Myself and my husband stayed in Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge Dublin with our 2 very young children for a new year getaway weekend. The location is excellent and well serviced by public transport. We booked based on the keen price point and found the cost to be fair but dont expect any luxuries for what you are paying. The public areas of the hotel are […] quite nice and well maintained. However, on arrival we found that tea/coffee cups had not been changed/cleaned as there was a sticky sugar and tea substance at the bottom of the cups and even hair on the saucers! That said, the room was otherwise comfortable, warm and clean. There was plenty on offer for breakfast which was delicious and is buffet style (not so great with 2 young children as you are trying to load up trays with them in tow). Dining in the lounge and restaurant was fine. Tasty and not extortionately priced. The bathroom facilities are nothing special with a basic soap dispenser rather than toiletries on offer. The staff were quite nice especially the maitre d at breakfast who gave the children colouring books and crayons and had some kind words for them which was a relief as up till then we felt this was definitely not a hotel for smaller kids. But dont expect a massive welcome or farewell production from the reception staff who (for me anyway) only seemed interested in swiping the credit card and not much else. I gave this hotel an average rating because while I didnt have much to complain about, I didnt have anything to be excited about either. Not perfect if you have younger children but well priced if you fancy a one or two night stay to take in the sights of the city. Mehr

"Very good hotel, great price"
A very good, modern hotel at an excellent price, in a beautiful part of Dublin. Very handy for RDS, Lansdown Rd, Ballsbridge and Sandymount, and only 3 mins walk from the closest Dart station, so getting in and out of the centre and all stations on the coast is a breeze. Stay here in comfort and for half the price of the city centre.
"Quality affordable hotel"
This hotel is in a most lovely part of Dublin City. Easy access to city centre with buses nearby. Hotel is old but interior is decorated very well and rooms are modern. Fantastic stay with no problems/difficulties at a great price through hotels.com. Definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel in Dublin 4 is excellently located. Close to the Bus and DART and also beside the RDS. Situated in a former school, there are still some some glimpses of it's former life. Staff are well trained, rooms are comfortable and the bar and restaurant are good. Would recommend this hotel.

"Cheap and convenient but that's it"
We've stayed just for one night. The hotel was very conveniently located. The hotel was cheap but otherwise unimpressive. Outside looks nice, restaurant looked pretty, however breakfast was unimpressive (pastry, maybe full Irish is better). They are charging for parking a tenner overnight - it's unbelievable since most other hotels don't charge anything. […] Rooms are very basic, not much space for clothes even though the rooms were spacious enough. Furniture is a bit old. I wouldn't go there for more than a night. All in all basic. We stayed in Mespil before so we'll stick to it in future, it's pretty similar but with a slightly better location and a bit better rooms I thought, and they don't charge for parking (if you get a spot). "Nice Hotel"
Am here at Bewley's as I write this so fresh impression. Have spent three nights here with wife and two kids. Nice place, pleasant staff, room was clean. Room quality is similar to a good motel room in the USA. No real complaints other than TV in room is an old style 19" tube TV. On other hand, have free wired and wireless Internet in room so very nice […] for making Skype calls home. Car parking on premise is ample and easy to get in and out, albeit there is a 10Euro/day charge. Have not tried the restaurant on premise so no comment. About 2 kilometers outside central Dublin BUT, after being stuck in central Dublin traffic tonight for over an hour to cover a 1/2 kilometer distance...I think being outside is quite OK...and easier to get out toward countryside when one wants. 12:00pm checkout is also nice when recovering from jetlag! Overall, am happy with Bewleys and would recommend it as a clean and comfortable enough hotel to stay at in Dublin. Mehr

"Average hotel not close to anything"
Charging for parking so far from City Centre was the only drawback.
very convenient for the Aviva Stadium where we were attending an event. Staff very friendly, hotel very comfortable and would definitely would stay there again-provided the price would stay within the normal persons range..

We stayed here for 2 nights while making a brief stop in Dublin. The neighborhood is very posh and incredibly safe. It's a short taxi ride to anywhere you need to go in the city center. The staff and over all stay was very pleasant. The restaurant/pub was very modern and comfortable. The food was great and the service was top notch! "Rude Staff,No Residents Bar at 2.10am"
never again, had 3 rooms booked and when arrived back at hotel at 2.10am the residents bar was closed and the staff were rude and would not give Drink to anyone.not what we paid for.

"bewleys ballsbridge - Dublin"
Staff not very helpful or friendly except for one waiter in the dining room. Had to ask multiple times about parking and where/when dining was available. Asked for an accessible room but didn't realize that meant it would be in the basement! The one window had a view of pipes and bricks. The location was very handy for main Dublin access on buslines […] (would be nice for them to have a link on the site to show connections so each traveler doesn't have to work it out every time). The surrounding neighborhood was a fascinating mix of foreign embassies (British, American, etc.) and fairgrounds. Would stay there again (just not in the basement!) but too bad that by the time we figured out how everything worked it was time to leave. Mehr
"mediocre at best"
No soap in the shower, the entire hotel just feels like it's tired, and showing it's years - the carpets, the decor. The restaurants were nothing to write home about. The wine selection for the glass or 1/4 bottle is terrible.

Room/Hotel was OK but could've been better. Good: Comfy beds. Kettle for tea and coffee Big bath. Shops, bars and bustop nearby. AirCoach stops outside. Bad: No toiletries No fridge or mini bar. Window only opened a crack. Breakfast is expensive.

Hotel was dirty in general. Service very poor after a few complaints, one of which was blood on a pillow. Baby chairs covered in ground in food. Although it was cheap it's below what I was expecting. Not recommended. Not be back.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and found it to be a very nice comfortable hotel. Staff was great, hotel was very clean and the tour bus and airport shuttle bus come directly to the hotel. For a European hotel is was good size and the bathrooms was very nice. Room included things like hair dryer, and free wireless.

Although the hotel looks lovely from the exterior and the bar/restaurant are very nice, the family rooms on the lower ground floor could be doing with being upgraded as they are a little bit sad. Overall the hotel was decent enough for the price.
