Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Antonio-Medical Area - San Antonio

The rooms were actually nicer than some of the places that I've stayed in Las Vegas. I wish I would've gotten names, because the lady at the desk at night was super nice and helpful. Also, the lady that ran the breakfast area was so nice and friendly.

The manager Brian was excellent in his people skills and accomodating my needs. I am glad to recommend this hotel to my business asociates as well as personal friends.

I had to be in SA with little notice. The hotel I usually stay at was booked. The Hotel.com rep. suggested this Holiday Inn Express. Everything worked out great.

This hotel was perfect except the neighborhood outside was less than desirable.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable very close to our destination.

I loved the price and everything at this hotel.

Had a wonderful stay at this location. I would have wished suite was bigger as it seemed in the pictures. I chose a non-smoking, 2 queen bed suite. It is narrow! So called living room area includes one pull out sofa bed and a coffee table. Then right in front of that is the desk with its big office chair. So if you want to pull out the sofa bed, you […] have to move the chair, in order to have at least some space to walk through. In addition, our "non-smoking" suite smelled very badly, like cigarette smoke! Unfortunately, that made our clothes start smelling like that as well. Moreover, breakfast was great! However, lady in charge of putting all breakfast items out, could be very loud, outspoken, and rude to us guests. Pool was a good size. It has a "hot tub" as well but they should rather change the name of it to "massage tub" since it was not warm, at all, the three days I got in it. Few complaints here and there, but I would definitely stay here again. Mainly friendly staff and awesome room cleaning ladies! Gotta love San Antonio, TX! ;) Mehr

We came to San Antonio for my cousins wedding. This hotel was easy access to get there and back. Close to Walmart and lots of choices for food. Staff friendly, rooms were clean. Pool area was great. Breakfast was more than I expected.

Family of 10. Hotel staff were super nice. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Pool area clean too. Security was great to had to have a card to get into any outside door. Right up the street from walmart. Would stay here anytime. Breakfast choices were good too.

Our room smelled musty when we walked in, it turned out that the sheets were still damp. Bathroom shower and sink area not well cleaned. Also our dead bolt lock did not work properly.

The hotel is beautiful, and located close to the interstate. My only complaints are that the carpets need cleaned. I usually never go barefoot on hotel carpet and for some reason I did and when u happened to look at the bottom of my feet and my kids feet they were black. Also, when we checked in at midnight there must have been a family reunion going […] on because there were kids running down the hall and in and out the side door. I think overall it was ok but due to unforeseen circumstances it could've been better. I would stay here again. Mehr

The stay at this hotel was ok. The only thing I can say that I was NOT satisfied was the BREAKFAST other then that it was very clean and the service was satisfactoy!

This is an excellent hotel to stay in! The room was very clean and so was the bathroom (Very important). Linens were fresh and crisp; very comfortable pillows. great location, hotel is in great shape from what i could see. read an older review from this place that said it was in a bad neighborhood and that the people were scared to go outside, but unless the whole building has moved from somewhere this is simply not true. there is a nice starbucks across the street, places to eat nearby. good place for a quick […] convenient pit stop Mehr

Having stayed at many other hotel/motels, I found this Holiday Inn Epress extremly comfortable and the staff very helpful as well. One interesting point was the freshness of the breakfast, all was hot and for a quck fix type meal, was very good. I will stay there again and would highly recommend it to my friends.

Have used this hotel several times in the past, so understand, that I was very shocked about my recent stay... Minor Complaint: This was a girl,s get-away weekend for me and two friends. We were up late, enjoying our suite and each others company and were called on by the guest next door for being loud. If giggling is considered loud, then these people […] obviously don't travel much. Come to find out the next morning that the guest next door had a baby with them. I was disappointed that the hotel would place a couple with a very small child next door to three young ladies trying to enjoy their night. They should have placed the family on an end of the hotel that was not as occupied, because obviously, they were looking for quiet having had a small child with them. A for the hotel to call our room and ask that we keep the noise down, after we'd spent just as much money as the couple next door, was flat out rude! Major Complaint: So, immediately after returning home, my girlfriend notices that her brand new boots are missing from her luggage. She distinctly remembers leaving them in the hotel room and so when I called the hotel to report that we had left them (as instructed by the sign in the bathroom) I was told that nothing was found in the room. Funny thing though... as we were leaving the hotel the same friend realized she'd forgotten her cell phone and went back up to the room and house keeping was ALREADY cleaning the room, they hadn't started making up the bed where she'd left her cell phone, so she was able to retrieve it. But the boots that were sitting on the floor on the side of the bed closest to the wall, were claimed to have not been there. Long story short... house keeping stole my friend's boots and for the hotel to cover up for them is just wrong. I don't do business with thieves, I will never stay at this hotel again! The hotel was very nice. Free breakfast was fine. The room was comfortable, although I wish it had a larger shower. Other than that everything was great. I would recommend it.

We're not overly picky travelers, so I'd recommend this HI Express, but there were a few things that disappointed us. Briefly: -Cracked and worn furniture -hot tub was only about 85 degrees--not hot. Pool and spa full of leaves...needed to be vacuumed -shower water took 20 min to heat up, then got cold partway through each of our showers -room felt […] very tight...little walking space between foot of bed and TV dresser or desk. Office chair did not fit under desk -the one elevator was sluggish -neighborhood was ugly, including people accosting you with fliers asking for money at off-ramp stoplight and stray dogs in street The positives: -nice dining area and food selection...was open til 10am which is good for later sleepers -easy on easy off from I-10 -no hidden charges added, including for local and toll-free calls we made -clean hallways and carpeted stairs -a few good, inexpensive places to eat nearby Mehr

Staff was very friendly and service was great! Room were very comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend.

The room accommodated my large family (3 teenagers, a toddler, my husband and I). It was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was not the greatest but we didn't mind and will definitely stay there again.

Very clean except inside the lid of the ice bucket; nice staff; felt safe which was important considering it was just myself & my 11yr daughter; will return to this hotel in the future.

The stay was nice and the front staff was nice at first but the main thing that got me upset is that on my second night, they had changed the sheets on the bed when they were making my room and instead of the sheets being "clean" there were few dots what looked to be blood on them so that was very disturbing. And the front staff came to give me new […] ones after I complained and she did not even take the dirty ones so I had to change them myself. So after that I just did not like my stay there anymore. The room was a very good value. Breakfast was better than other chains I have used recently. The only deficiency would be the sofa/sleeper mattress which was... much less than desirable. The location is within walking/driving distance to a variety of restaurants. I would use and recommend this hotel.

Well, not that speechless... hehe. This hotel was absolutely worth every dollar we paid for it. We stayed in a Suite and is was SWEET!! Very spacious, comfy, cozy, relaxing. Just wonderful! I will definitely stay there again and again and again! The only down side for me (and this is minor) was there was not pancakes, I LOVE pancakes... but the rest […] of the breakfast was awesome, not continental, but a really large selection of healthy, hearty things to choose from. My husband and I stayed one night and overall I was pleased. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The only complaints are minor-kleenex box needed to be replaced as it contained the last tissue. The coffee pot that was provided in the room was missing the decanter.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express was excellent, very clean and well maintained hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located and would definitely stay there again.

The staff was extremely friendly and willing to help. The first couple of days the housekeeping sucked but after telling the front desk woman it was excellent.The breakfast is great esp. the cinnamon rolls.

I was very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, for the price of the hotel. The hotel was located near restaurants and shopping centers and had plenty of parking. I would recommend this hotel and plan to return in the future.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. It was very conveniently located, provided an excellent service, and value.

Pool was great...breakfast was delicious....would recommend

every thing in this hotel was top class from its breakfast to its bed comfortable and very nice and clean

When we got there we where very impressed! The pool was the first thing we saw and it was clean and my kids LOVED the colored lights that changed the color of the water of both the pool and hot tub every few seconds. Check in was a breeze and parking was next to the door! Upon entering our room we were very impressed, the decor was the best we had ever […] seen in a hotel and the thermastat was digital. The bathroom was even better! We only had two minor issues, our shower curtin smelled bad and the bath tub would not hold water, but nothing major. The breakfast in the morning was really good, more than I expected. Great hotel, we will. Be staying again since we travel to San Antonio often. Mehr

The good is that as the place is new every thing is nice and clean. The bad we had two problems first I could not connect to the internet in my room not sure why, second as the hotel has one elevator it was too crowded in the morning hours as every one was going up and down.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was wonderful and the drive was very short to downtown. I will definately stay here next time I'm in town.

A little overpriced but like they say, "you get what you pay for". Very nice room (we got a king suite with sofa bed) that was very roomy (it accommadated my toddler's wheelchair and wasn't a handicapp room). The bed was soooo wonderful and the cleanliness was outstanding. We checked in late and were exhausted and wanted to take a swim. Pool was closing […] in half an hour but clerk was very nice and said as long as we were quite we could swim as long as we like. Another clerk that was leaving as we got there (and back aagin in the morning..probably due to staffing issues) wasn't quite as chipper as we would have expected but I wasn't there to see her..just the sites. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant across the road (you can walk) that is delicious and very modestly priced. And there's a convenince store across the otherside which was handy. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave which is always a plus for us and the shades were great at blocking any light. I would definitely recommend to friends. Mehr
