Als Zwischenstopp zu empfehlen, da direkt am Flughafen gelegen! Vom Fluglärm haben wir nichts mitgekriegt (hätten wir echt nicht gedacht).

We really liked the hotel, nice quiet location, seemed quite popular. Loved the service very welcoming and easy-going workers at reception. Rooms are lovely and kept in brill condition., Complimentary breakfast is one of the best ive seen. Highly recommend

Couldn't fault our stay there for 2 nights - we stay there every few months for a break away. We had a distant view of the Bristol Channel from our room, the staff as always were very polite and helpful, and the complimentary breakfasts were great. We had to come down to Cardiff for the weekend and stayed at this Hotel. We found all the staff extremely helpful and the gentleman who checked us in was so helpful and actually rang up to the room to check everything was ok. Excellent hotel next to the airport. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold and included in the price of the room. Would definitely stay again .

We stay here quite regularly and, as usual, the staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was being woken up twice early on Sunday morning by faulty fire alarms! If the room had a more comfortable chair or sofa we would award top marks!

This Hotel is an excellent place to stay, very helpful staff, I use it quite often.

We enjoyed our stay even though it was for only one night, its location was extremely convenient after our three and a half hour flight with our arrival being in the early hours. I was extremely impressed with the selection of foods on offer for breakfast and would certainly consider staying again on my next holiday abroad. Thank you.

2 adults and 1 child - 1 night before our trip to Egypt from Cardiff airport. For price, location, comfort and service this hotel will not be beaten. Stayed at this hotel overnight before an early morning flight from Cardiff airport. Facilities were very good and the location was excellent, 2 mins from the airport!! But even though it was so close there was no noise at all, slept like a baby! Breakfast was provided from 4am and there was a good buffet style selection. We travelled with our young […] daughter and the facilities for her were very good as well. Free shuttle bus the next morning to the airport was very conveinient. The Hotel entrance/car park was very well laid out and pleased to see CCT camera's observing the area. The Receptionist who dealt with our arrival was both polite and helpfull. The room itself was in need of an up-date, however the en - suite shower/toilet were well laid out and pleasant. The hotel is very good, and very conveniently located. The room was perfect on all fronts - cleanliness and comfort. The downside was the poor breakfast service. Although the timings were much longer than anywhere else (4am-10:30am), they seemed to be short on staff. The tables were not cleaned after the guests, and we had to make an effort to look […] for a clean one. Great view of sea from hotel, near Barry Beach, small kids loved it, food was good, and not too far from city of Cardiff

If you are looking for a hotel right next to the airport that is comfortable, clean, well-staffed with a decent breakfast served from the early hours then look no further. Simple as that.

Excellent Hotel, very quiet although the Airport runway was very close. Staff very friendly, breakfast was plentiful, room was clean but found the beds uncomfortable and the pillows very small and thin.

Had a very pleasant stay, all staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and there was a good variety with the breakfast menu. Happy customer.

We stay here regularly every couple of months and are consistently pleased with the convenience and condition of the hotel. The rooms are fairly basic and a comfortable chair would be much better than the hard sofa bed in the room, but overall good value for money and very quiet at night despite its proximity to the airport.

Stayed here when we went to see Take That in Cardiff. Shuttle bus picks you up and drops you at Rhoose train station for free which then connects to main train station. Hotel was great, clean and fresh and fulfilled all our needs. The only downfall was there was no bacon or beans on offer with the breakfast the next morning. I think they could loose […] the various pastries and add to the cooked breakfast, other than that would highly recommend. The sofa bed we had in the room for 3 people was a double and very comfy. very clean and tidy, staff were polite and friendly and even with it right next to the airport, did not here a thing.

We stayed here after a Take That concert, it was a bit far away from Cardiff city centre but reasonable in price. The room was very clean and it was very comfortable. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast in the morning before travelling back home. I would definitely recommend to a friend. :)

Just what you would expect from a Holliday inn No bacon for breakfast? Everything else though

The staff at the CARDIFF BAY HOTEL were very helpfull and lovely. We had a bus to catch and were able to leave our luggage there and do a little more sight seeing. Great Brekky too. Yum NICE PLACE CARDIFF BAY Holiday Inn

After being in the hotel room for a few hours it became apparent in the evening that the heating/air conditioning was not working properly as the room became very hot. When we informed the staff, they could not have been more helpful, moved us into a room directly opposite and even gave us two free cold beers from the bar by way of an apology. We stay […] here every couple of months and service is always excellent and the rooms quiet despite being close to Cardiff Airport. The nearby Raj Kinara in Rhoose is a superb place to visit if you enjoy a curry! Mehr

Stayed here as a stopover on way back from Cardiff. Very pleasant hotel, helpful staff, comfy and clean beds, plenty of tea and coffee, large TV, good breakfast in the morning. WiFi available at charge, play area for small chilldren outside the breakfast area. Being so near the airport ( could see the planes taxiing from our room ) we were expecting […] noise, although there was none due to extra glazing. Some dining out restaurants locally. Hotel ran a bus service into Cardiff 4 times daily - for a longer stay would be very handy. For what we paid, we were delighted, and we have stayed in far more expensive hotels and received far less ! We intend to stay here again, and would recommend. Mehr

this one night stay proved the most memorable in our recent experience of overnight stays.Every member of staff was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble .This was nothing like the image sometimes portrayed of a "transit hotel" Far from that..

THis hotel is just" Wow",the room very clean,comfterble and the brecfast for the mony I spend(3person-£49.98pnp) was very good, only the location was more far away from Cardiff then I thout but it is worth it and I will stay in this hotel even if it's more far away. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Despite being opposite Cardiff International Airport, the soundproofing of the rooms was excellent and they were quiet and comfortable. There is a charge for internet use, and although the breakfast offered a hot option this was just scrambled egg and sausages each day. Good value, and very convenient for visiting Barry and the west of Cardiff. Parking […] was free of charge and readily available. The Hotel is definitely in South Wales and not Somerset (as stated on the Hotels.com website)! We would definitely stay at the hotel again. Mehr

Was hoping to have evening meal at hotel but the menu very basic and expensive. Went out to Barry in the end and had lovely meal at right price 10 mins drive away.

Clean and tidy hotel within a budget level. Very helpful staff. Rooms are a decent size. The beds are a bit creaky and feels unsteady, but the en-suite toilet/ bathroom facilities are very good and clean. In-house dinner options are basic, but expensive. The saving grace is the stack of takeaway flyers in the restaurant; and the staff provides you […] with cutlery and plates for free. You can dine in your room or use the hotel's restaurant. The main let-down is the breakfast - extremely basic! The food was very dry and rubbery; it stays in the food warmer for too long. I wouldn't mind paying an extra fiver for a decent breakfast. So for the price-conscious, especially air travellers this hotel is convenient and certainly recommended. Mehr

My family and I stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn, Cardiff Airport as we were attending a family wedding in Cardiff. Our stay was comfortable, the room was spacious and clean and adequate for our family of four. We enjoyed the breakfast and if in the area again would definitely use this hotel.

The hotel seems quite new and clean! The location itself is nice and quiet, about 30 minutes drive away from Cardiff Centre, even when a plane is taking off/landing (since it's near Cardiff Int. Airport). There's a nice little bar which doubles as the reception area, which features a breakfast bar in the morning and has Sky TV and a Pool Table. The […] room was pretty well presented and clean - there's a good number of smoking rooms, en-suite toilet/shower, and a TV with roughly 20 channels and allows you to access Films, the Internet and Emails. There is also an ethernet cable attached to the TV so you can plug your laptop in for Internet Access. The hotel's ideal if you're visiting Cardiff, the area surrounding it, or getting a flight to/from the airport. Mehr

Unfortunately this hotel was too far out of Cardiff for our benefit, and so there were no surrounding shops or restaraunts. But there were no problems with the hotel itself. Parking was difficult if you arrived late at night.

the Holiday Inn was excellent. Ideal for the airport or visiting Cardiff. Parking can be an issue, as there isn't enough when full. There also could be more tables for breakfast as we were there when quite full and finding a table in the morning to eat your breakfast is not good for first thing in the morning. Located at Cradiff airport. It takes a good 30 mins to get to cardiff city maybe more in bad traffic. Hotel was nice. Rooms were spacious and service was good with a decent contenental breakfast.
