Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tilton - Lakes Region - Tilton

Booked the hotel for our White Mountain stop over. Was some driving to the main attractions but doable. Right next to outlet mall, which was a good way to spend a rainy afternoon. Due to other reviews here, we asked for a quiet room away from pool and elevator, which was really quiet indeed. Not cheap but ok value for money.

My husband and I found the location extremely convenient. Nearby were Walmart, Market Basket (great prices on groceries), the Tilton Diner (a MUST for dining), gas stations, convenience store, Upper Crust pizza (delicious pizza and cold beer), and the Tangers Mall (numerous upscale stores). All were within close proximity yet far enough away so that […] the hotel was serene near the pond. Each morning we enjoyed the (included) continental breakfast in the dining area and then left to visit family nearby. Each afternoon we came "home" to a clean room with freshly made bed. Uncomfortable king bed, old mattress, rough sheets. Pull out sofa mattress even worse. Could add lights to illuminate lot pull in area. Hard to decipher at night.

We've stayed here several times this past year to visit kids in scool and i've never had one thing to complain about. It's a newer property so facility is in great shape and the staff is always more than accomodating around our schedule while we're there. The hotel was very clean and nice. The pool, workout room and breakfast were great. On our first night however there was vacuuming being done on the third floor above our room from 10:30 to almost midnight. I called the front desk to see what was going on above us since we were all trying to sleep. He advised me he would find out. We did hear it for […] about another 30 minutes after my call. This is one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels that I've stayed at. I had no idea that they were different. There is a nice fireplace in the lobby. The beds were really comfortable. The hotel pool and hot tub were warm and nice. We had a Queen suite and it was a perfect size. Although our coffee pot could have used a better cleaning, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working, everything else was clean, well kept and comfortable. Rooms were not overly clean. When leaving we were looking under beds and around furniture cushions to make sure we hadn't left anything behind and found some kids toys under the bed and found a USED PREGNANCY TEST next to one of the chair cusions!! It seemed like the queen size beds were really a full size. The complimentary breakfast was good. The hot tub and pool were nice and relaxing. Having wifi in the room was great when you have teenagers to keep them occupied. The channels available could have been a little bigger. One channel had no volume. The sofa bed and chairs were hard.

While most of the room was very clean, it seemed like the bathroom floor had not been properly cleaned. It smelled like urine. I was unimpressed by one of the front desk workers who refused to help me print a boarding pass when the printer wasn't working. Her suggestion - just restart the computer and see if that works. This hotel is set on the Winnepasskee River which is very pretty. Close to shopping/restaurants convienience off the highwayl The hotel was great. room clean. top view to the lake. breakfast was a perk. Downside were people coming and going out of the rooms next door and slamming of doors were annoying.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! We were delightfully surprised with the friendliness and service of the staff, the immaculate room and public areas, and the rates. The refills of the egg, ham, and roll tray was slow leaving a line waiting for food. They had only one staff person and I almost felt I should go into the kitchen and help her out. That said, she was MOST accomodating and even took my son into the kitchen so that he could choose whatever kind of cereal he wanted more of. The hotel was really nice service was excellent. The curb appeal was beautiful. The only issue i had was that the gym had no weights , it was just a cardio room. Other than that really nice .

Lovely hotel - beautiful room. Excellent location to find a nice place for dinner when we arrived - suggested by the receptionist - and a delightful diner the next morning for breakfast. Excellent and welcoming hotel staff. Room was very clean, roomy and very comfortable beds.

The front desk attendant was very friendly, we were able to check in early, and the room was clean. The only issue that I had was that the bed was to hard.

Excellent front desk help. She listened to what we wanted for dinner and sent us to the perfect place. She also gave us the key to watch a football game that evening in the room where breakfast is served which also has sofas and chairs.

This hotel was ideally located in terms of things that we wanted to do. Nice friendly staff. Linen service everyday and great free breakfast. Tilton is a nice town with a lot of stores and restaurants in the area. You could do so many things and all destinations were within 30 minute radius. I will choose this place and hotel all over again.

This hotel must have been brand new. The rooms were very clean and well designed. The location was off the highway with easy access to touring northern new Hampshire and the big lake (lake winnepesake). That said if the lakes are your destination then this place is a.little outside of the action. Good place for a.short stay with a decent breakfast.

This hotel was 25 minutes for the Meadowbrook Pavillion, not far at all, and wasn't as pricey as hotels in Gilford.. I would recommend it to anyone looking fo a comfortable, affordable place to stay. Everything was fine with the hotel except for the loud mysterious reoccurring rattling noise in the walls or ceiling. It sounded like large pipes (plumbing) vibrating and occurred sporadically at all times including during the middle of the night which was extremely annoying! After the first night I asked the front desk clerk if he could look into the […] matter. There was no feedback until I prompted the clerk again the next day while checking out. The quality of the feedback was poor as well; apparently the noise could have been due to the fact that our room was above the pool…huh? We stayed here for two days. The breakfast was great and filling. We ate supper at Ninety-nine Restaurant nearby. The food was GREAT! The hotel pool was smaller than the photos and the hot tub was great. My room was very clean. I found the bed not as comfortable as the Hilton but I was able to sleep well. Overall, very glad we stayed there.
