Tropical Garden Lounge Hotel - Ko Samui

Für eine Anlage in dieser Preisklasse würden wir mit "gut" bewerten.Pool gepflegt. Tägliche Zimmerreinigung und Handtücher. Absolut landestypische Unterbringung. Frühstück teuer und Essen ansonsten eher langweilig, aber das kann ja in der nächten Woche schon anders sein. Besitzer auf jeden Fall freundlich.

Leider völlig Moskito-verseucht! Egal ob im Bungalow, am Pool oder im Restaurant, man wird gnadenlos zerstochen. Das Hotel unternimmt nichts gegen diese Plage. Die Lage des Hotels ist zudem sehr ungünstig: zu weit weg vom Zentrum von Mae Nam und zu weit weg vom Haupt-Strand.

the resort is very quirky, laid back and has a relaxed atmosphere, the owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful. the pool area is kept nice and clean with daily offers from the sunken pool bar. This Hotel had an excellent staff, unfortunally they had not much too work with. They however provided excellent service all the time with bookings etc. The bungalows where all in a sorry to say, Outrageous stand, they were really in a need of service. Or rebuilding........ The pictures you see are from there, but! Thank god for photoshop! The food […] was though, one of the best ive had i Thailand. But The Hotel????? Also wifi was out for the most of the time, and there was no safe, to put your valuables! The things said on the web, was not always the whole thruth..... Mehr

We arrived at Tropical Garden Lounge and were greated very friendly and welcoming. Even got a refreshing drink. Very lovely, spacious Bungalows. Clean and tidy! They have even a Minibar a DVD Player and free WIFI. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful so is the Manager. He helped us with all problems and booking of Tickets. The free Barbeque […] and the Movie Night at the Swimming Pool was great fun! Never have watched a movie from a floating chair out of the Pool - great guys! The restaurant served great food. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Staff is great and with Breakfast served until 2pm its absouletly relaxing. They have a large breakfast selection. We always got our desired breakfasts! this bungalow was great. it is about a 10-15 min walk to the beach. it is one of the quieter beaches, which i liked. the rooms are comfortable and spacious. the staff is wonderful. very friendly and accommodating. it also has a nice pool.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the begining of our trip, and were supposed to stay another 2 nights at the end of our trip, but didn't acre about losing our money and didn't go back. We are not afraid of simple hotels, and don't need much, but I expect to have helpful service, good food, and a comfortable room to stay in. The whole room smelled like […] urine, there was no bug netting over the bed, which I expect in Thailand, instead the room smelled like chemicals and bug repellent on top of the urine, as it was raining and humid, you can't open all windows to get the smell out, so the stink had to be smelled thoughout our stay. The locations isn't great, it's ok to be not directly at the beach, but walking there was a disaster, once we got to the Beach, there was nothing but a rock wall. Not like described. Having booked a triple room through expedia, we arrived to an abrupt receptionist and given a room that didn't meet the criteria we'd paid extra for. The third person, which had been paid for in advance, didn't get the complimentary water, any bedding or breakfast. The reception staff were infuriatingly unhelpful when we pointed this out, they wanted […] us to pay an extra fee for an additional breakfast. The general manager was no where to be found, despite asking to speak with him several times. On previous trip advisor reviews we have noticed a response from the manager, not very helpful after you've checked out! On top of this, we ordered some chicken spring rolls as a pool side snack which were raw. The kitchen staff and the pool side bar man were very friendly and replaced them but the incident seemed to add to our frustrating experience. We were moved to the room we had paid for but still no bedding or breakfast for the third person was included. When we did have breakfast, they finally relented (After numerous, lengthy complaints) they issued us with 3 breakfast vouchers worth 100 baht each, rather than 150 baht, which the initial 2 were allocated. It was NOT a breakfast 'buffet' as described. Our voucher entitled us to 2 bread buns each.  I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff had no understanding of customer service and made a situation much worse than it needed to be through their terrible, hostile attitude.  Mehr

Bungalows are quite different from what you see in the pictures (in pictures looks new but in reality rooms are older than that). In some bungalows during rain water drops in and some of them have very dump smell. Although surroundings, pool, restaurant and location are good. The hotel staff was not fluent in English and often could not understand our questions or offer responses. Furniture that we had when we checked in was gradually removed over our several day stay without our consent. The pool bar was open at sporadic hours. The motorbike rentals offered at the hotel were a convenient way to get around the island, but […] the staff didn't have much advice on how else to get around and what to see. The restaurant was tasty and affordable but often completely understaffed. The pool was nice, but small. The bungalows were quaint and nice. The air conditioners worked well, but the beds were uncomfortable and there were only around 3 channels on the TV. The owner was pleasant and helpful, but the rest of the staff seemed unfamiliar with the hotel's policies. Not a terrible stay, but we would definitely look elsewhere if we returned to the island. Well-maintained property with good staff at a very affordable price. It's a bit far from Chaweng, but frankly, I enjoyed being in a more remote area that was still very close to the gorgeous beaches. Great for a quiet stay on an island, but probably not for the party animal.

This was a change from our normal hotel stays but a welcome and pleasant stay nevertheless. The Manager and his staff try hard to maintain a high standard in a local bungalow setting by the hillside. Definately worth a visit to enjoy the style and setting. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Bokade detta hotell några dagar innan vi kom dit ock fick det till ett väldigt förmånligt pris. Med tanke på priset så fick vi ett underbart rum (bungalow). Stort, kingsizesäng, AC, toalett och dusch. Bra städning varje dag, fräscht osv. Personalen man mötte i receptionen var extremt tillmötesgående och gjorde allt för man skulle ha det bra. Det jag […] tyckte var sämst var poolen. Det var extremt Mycket klor både kände man och luktade när man badade. Vattnet såg dock ändå inte rent ut utan var alltid "immigt", det blev endast ett dopp I den poolen. Hotellets läge var både bra och dåligt. Dåligt för det var långt ifrån chaweng där de medta sakerna hände, men bra ändå för vi ville inte bo mitt i turisterna och dess attraktioner. Det var bra dock stt man på hotellet kunde hyra moped för endast 200 bath per dag! Extremt förmånligt! Men sammantaget med pris osv så var det en jättebra vistelse och vi sa både jag och min pojkvän att om vi skulle åka till koh Samui igen så hade vi bott där igen. Mehr

That place put a smile on my face. The staff where always in a happy mood. We only stayed there for 3 nights, but was sad to go away. The bungalow was clean, but the bathroom could be a little messy if it was a windy day. Part of the bathroom didn't have a roof. Nice breakfast. Usually ordered a shake and scrambled eggs with bacon(about 200B). The restaurant […] was a little pricey, but made up for it by being cozy. They took 1000B as collateral for the room key when we arrived and a copy of my passport, but I got the 1000B back when I left the hotel. They even booked the trip to Koh Phangan for me, with transport from hotel to ferry. Mehr

Situé à bonne distance de la route principale, c'est un endroit trés calme caché par une végétation luxuriante. Les bungalows sont simples mais confortables, trés bonne literie (2x2m) climatisée, de la place pour les rangements. Le personnel est présent, efficace, attentif et simplement gentil ; il a fallu aller en Thailande pour trouver ce genre de […] personne et de prestation hotellière. Le restaurant est hyper propre, on y mange trés bien pour pas cher du tout. Une piscine trés bien entretenue, et un accueil réception qui se coupe en quatre pour réserver er organiser vos excursions. Seul point négatif , les joints de salle de bain sont moisis mais n'oublions pas que nous sommes en Thaïlande et que le taux d'hygrométrie est important. Mehr

Je recommande cet hôtel aux personnes désirant de l'authentique, du calme. Situé à 15 minutes à pieds de la plage, il reste néanmoins obligatoire de louer un scooter pour profiter de l'ile (200 à 250 bht/jour). Les bungalows sont confortables avec un coté kitch sympathique. Fisherman village à 5 minutes en scoot et chareng 10 à 15 mns.Pas de points […] négatifs pour cet hôtel. Mehr

Des installations non récentes mais correctes, un environnement calme, du personnel attentif et convivial. Janvier parait le moment idéal, 28°, la plage à 10 mn à pied sur laquelle un p'tit resto sympath : le "Jin's restaurant" qui met à disposition des chaises longues. Cheap and beautiful place. Claudio (owner) and his nice staff help me for all my needs. You need transport to reach attractions and enjoy the nightlife of Chaweng and Fisherman's Village, but you can get a taxi or rent motorbike at a very low price.
