Das Hotel liegt in der "Calle de le Rasse", in der Nähe zur Vaporetto Haltestation San Zaccaria Danieli (im Internet fand ich 5 unterschiedliche Standorte an denen sich dieses Hotel angeblich befinden soll). Aufgepasst: Es gibt ca. 4 Stationen mit dem Namen San Zaccaria, die alle zwar in der Nähe sind, aber doch durch 1 bis 2 Brücken von einander getrennt […] sind. Die Station San Zaccaria Danieli ist die westlichste dieser vier. Das Check-in im Hotel lief rasch ab, allerdings werden die Pässe für die Registrierung bei der Fremdenpolizei eingezogen. Das Zimmer war wie erwartet klein, dafür wurden wir mit einem grossen Badezimmer überrascht. Das Bett war für uns zwei gross und bequem. Das Zimmer war sauber und relativ ruhig. Der TV war sehr klein, aber wer kommt schon nach Venedig um fernzusehen? Den Schlüssel für den Zimmer-Safe erhielt man nur gegen Hinterlegung eines Depots. Es gab jeweils ein Kontinentales Frühstück, das im Vergleich zu den Frühstücksangeboten der umliegenden Restaurants sehr günstig war. Zu Fuss ist man in 1-2 Minuten auf dem Markusplatz. Es empfiehlt sich bequemes Schuhwerk zu tragen, da sich Venedig zu Fuss besser erkunden lässt. Und vergessen sie nicht eine gute Strassenkarte zu kaufen, da man sich schnell mal in diesem Strassenlabyrinth verirren kann. Wer mit den Vaporettos oder Motorbooten oft unterwegs sein möchte, dem empfiehlt es sich ein entsprechendes Ticket (zum Beispiel ein 72 Stunden Ticket) bei der betrteffenden Transportgesellschaft zu lösen. (Hinweis: Die Tickets werden zwischen den verschiedenen Transportgesellschaften nicht anerkannt). Vermeiden sollte man die Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Touristenattraktionen, oder am Ufer liegende Restaurants. Einerseits sind die Preise schon hoch genug in Venedig, aber dort wird man nochmals abgezockt (ein kleines Fläschen Cola kostete mehr als das siebenfache des Preises, welchen man im Supermarkt bezahlt. Our family (two adults, two teenagers) stayed in Venice's Albergo Commercio e Pellegrino for the last two days of carnival in February 2012. Amazing location, just behind St. Mark's Basilica, and a block away from the vaporetto stop. Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast, good service. This hotel is located just steps from the water taxi so getting there is a breeze. The hotel is also very centrally located to San Marco Square and other points of interest. I would stay here again and would also recommend to anyone visiting Venice.

We stayed two nights at the hotel. It was clean and less than 3 min from the San Marco square. Excellent location. Entrance in a small alley way just before the Danieli. The beds are very hard. Breakfast is ok. Good coffee.

This hotel was simply OK. Nothing to rave about. The positive: The hotel was immaculate. The negative: The room was pitifully small. Barely room for two people to walk around. September 2011 visit was great. The hotel is right at the S. Zaccaria stop on vaporetto No. 1, which you catch at the train station and takes you all along the Grand Canal. The hotel is virtually next door to P.San Marco. Very convenient and close to everything, including the beautiful walk along the waterfront of Riva d. Schiavoni. This hotel offers a great location just of San Marco and an easy walk to the Grand Canal. It is a little difficult to find and it is worth finding it on a map beforehand.

Hotel was nice, not too difficult to find but it is a bit of a walk from the train station. Hotel staff wasn't too bad, although it would have been more helpful if they were more knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was a cold breakfast and wasn't too bad, about what you see throughout italy.

We had a little trouble finding this hotel as it's on Rasse which doesn't appear in the address. The reception staff all spoke good English and made recommendations to us as well. The rooms were comfortable but our double was cramped and the shower was out-dated. Our teenage sons had a much better twin room. The air con in our room was VERY noisy. Breakfast […] was included and there was plenty to eat. The staff were efficient and courteous. The location was superb - less than a minute's walk to St Mark's and the nearest vaporetta stop. Mehr

Great location, helpful staff, and outstanding breakfast!

The hotel is in a wonderful location. It is 2 minutes fron St. Marks and 50 yards from the Water-Bus landing. It is well run. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. If I were returning to Venice I would return to this hotel

As convenient as you can get after the vaporetto ride from the airport. Room was small as expected, but not as clean as one would hope. Staff was helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was better than expected. Not exceptionally quiet, but you are in the middle of a major tourist section. Overall, I would stay there again.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, very near St. Mark's Square and just a minute's walk from the Vaparetto stop. The service was wonderful. The staff even prepared a take-away breakfast because we had to leave early one morning. As in most Italian hotels, the bed was rather hard and the shower was quite small. GREAT location, just a few meters away from the main Venice Square. Small rooms, but clean ones, with good breakfast, and good hotel staff.

We enjoyed our stay there. The staff was helpful and friendly. But the main thing is you just can't best the location. You can never get lost trying to find your hotel and if you don't get lost in Venice then you are not in Venice.

Nice Hotel, good breakfast, wonderful location. Everything was great except for one desk clerk that became unfriendly and unhelpful when we did not take his tour or go to his recommended restaurant. Other than that, the Hotel was great and the location couldn't have been better for our group.

The hotel (albergo in Italian) is located, in the heart of Venice, about 200 yards from St. Mark's Square. It is easily reachable from San Marco Airport by tram. The tram stop to get off at is Zaccharia, adjacent to San Marco, about 300 yards from the hotel. A very convenient hotel with a very good breakfast. The rooms and washroom was good and clean even though they were a bit dated

Perfect location. The room was small but clean. Staff was helpful but it was the great location that really made this hotel stand out. Also the front desk gave us great reccomendations for where to eat in the neighborhood.

Quiet location very close to San Marco Square, with great access to the canal so you do not need to walk far with your luggage. Staff was helpful, breakfast was nicely done, and rooms were clean. The elevator only goes up to the third floor, however, so if you are not able to walk up one flight of stairs with your luggage, make sure you are on a lower […] floor. Mehr

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Albergo Commercio e Pellegrino located next to the Piazza San Marco in Venice in mid September.It was clean, friendly, well-run and comfortable. The room was small, but this is Venice, and we were there only to clean up and sleep. We were on a convenient side street with lots of shops and restaurants, a stone's […] throw from the waterfront with the gondolas bobbing in the lagoon. Night's were dead quiet, with the haunting sound of the big bell echoing from the Campanile next door to us at midnight, but heard only if the window was open.The staff were friendly and helped us reserve tickets for events and sites. Breakfast was ample, varied, with cheese, ham and salami, bread and croissants, and assorted cereals, fruit, yogurt, and wonderful caffe latte. It was served in a pleasant room near the small lobby. The only minor flaw was that the hotel hair dryer was an old model in the wall with a vacuum-type tube and hose and very low power, so it took forever to dry my short hair. The hotel is exceptionally convenient, located just behind the august Hotel Danelli, adjacent to St. Mark's Square. It is also very convenient to the Vaporetto stop. so no long haul for luggage (~300 ft.) To be so close to so much, it is pretty quiet inside, although every street and alley around St. Mark's is often crowded. The rooms are fairly small, […] but well laid out. Our rooms had good bathrooms, adequate windows and were very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fully adequate. There is an elevator to three of four floors. Excellent staff at desk - extremely helpful, friendly. Room size was great and was able to get a fab view...location was excellent - within 5 minutes of everything (square, palaces, great restaurants and was in the middle of all Venice quarters - the price was excellent when compared to hotels closer to train station). Within 2 minute walk to the main […] water taxis with minimal # bridges to climb over (only 1). great suggestions by staff on the best and cheapest use of water taxis to all locations including the cruise port, train station and airport. Breakfast gave options for the hungry traveller - it was fresh and delicious. Conveniently located to S Zaccaria vaporetto stop. Right around the corner from San Marco. Clean room, great staff service, good breakfast buffet. Would recommend and would stay again.

Hotels in Venice are notorious for having problems with false advertising, high cost, or bad service. Hotel Pellegrino had none of these things. The service was professional, the cost appropriate for what you get, and the rooms matched what was advertised. They did not pull the "sister hotel switcharoo" or add any hidden charges. In addition, the location […] is fantastic, considering the price. Right next to Piazza San Marco, and close to key vaporetto stops. The rooms are pretty small, but good for the price, and they charge for internet (through a 3rd party), which seems to still be common in Venice. Breakfast was good, and included. Godt hotel - venlig betjening - perfekt beliggende til seværdigheder samt vandbus - det er godt nok den nemmeste adgang til hotel jeg har oplevet. Eneste minus: Der skulle have været adgang til en kaffemaskine, da vi danskere gerne vil have mere end en kop kaffe om morgenen - jeg er sikker på vi kunne få det hvis vi havde spurgt den elskværdige dame, […] men havde alligevel en fornemmelse af at italienerne KUN drikker en kop kaffe om morgenen! Hotellet lå sentralt i forhold til båtforbindelser og nær marcusplassen, doge-palasset.

Vi ankom i nitiden om kvelden og fant hotellet ganske fort siden det lå veldig greit plassert rett ved Dogepalasset. Mannen i resepsjonen snakket godt engelsk og var veldig serviceminded. Vi lå bare en natt, grei frokost, hyggelige rom. Anbefaler det gjerne til andre.

O hotel está muito próximo a praça S. Marcos e ha 20 metros da parada San Zaccaria. Ótima localização!

ロケーションはバポレットでザッカリアを降りて正面の路地を入ったところなので、非常に便利。運良くバスタブ付きの部屋に入れたけれど、無い部屋の方が多いみたい。ホテルの設備は全体に古く、朝食も簡素、でも宿泊は高い。 周囲はみやげもの店や、レストランが非常に多く、買い物等にも便利であるが、夜は酔客が通りで騒ぐ声も響く。 インターネットアクセスは有料かつかなり高額なので使用しなかった。ミニバーは安い。 フロントの方は非常に親切で日本語が話せる人（オーナーかな？）がいてびっくりした。彼は良いレストランを紹介してくれたので、おいしい夕食を手頃な価格で楽しむことができた。ベネチアはレストランもかなり高いので、すごく助かったと思う。

Logo na chegada a recepção não foi muito boa, o rapaz era um tanto ríspido e pouco simpático, o quarto em alguns momentos cheirava mal, os cobertores tinham cheiro e eram muito velhos e fajutos. O café da manhã foi Ok, nada de especial. Falta uma orientação de como chegar até o hotel, que fica bem próximo da piazza san marco, depois de penarmos para […] chegar descobrimos que podíamos ter pegado um barco que para praticamente em frente à rua do hotel. Uma situação desagradável foi que sumiram dois presentes que compramos durante a limpeza do quarto e só percebemos ao chegar no Brasil. Não tinham grande valor financeiro mas foram escolhidos com carinho para presentear amigos. Mehr
