Hotel was fine, reception staff knowledgeable, did not put out do not disturb sign and was woken at 8 am and then 9 am. The fact that kick out was around midday I felt like they were trying to get rid of me.

Booked a superior twin room as I was with my 13 year old son - they tried to give me a room with one double bed which was obviously unacceptable. Eventually had a room with twin beds with some sort of 'executive' package which included bottled water and robes but certainly wouldn't class as 'superior'. A refund for the difference in cost was refused. […] Very noisy, there was a disco in a marquee within the grounds of the Millenium Stadium which we were not told about and did not sleep on the Saturday night at all, which spoilt the weekend. No compensation offered. Other than those issues, hotel was nice, convenient location, but very expensive on 'event days', a curry and rice costing £20. Mehr

We all enjoyed our short break, the staff was very helpfull, thank you.

Ideally situated very comfortable breakfast could have been hotter

Booked into the hotel, paid through hotels.com, checked in at reception.....not a word. Entering the room to find a pre-printed letter stating that Christmas party season is in full swing, so the hotel apologises in advance for noise from the disco until 1am is a little late to consider another hotel. Staff approached regarding this literally just shrugged […] their shoulders. Was on 5th floor (only 1 floor above this) and the disco sounded like it was in the next room. Would have been more appropriate if the hotel made a point of updating their status with hotels.com during xmas season, or at least have the courtesy to tell customers at check-in and possibly have complimentary ear plugs for the guests. By the time you are up in the room with your bags, it's a little late! Will not use this hotel again when there are so many other options around Cardiff Castle Mehr

SPEEDY CHECK IN-ROOM WAS READY EVEN THOUGH WE WERE EARLY.STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.DAUGHTER APPRECIATED MINCE PIES!!-AND THE APPLES ON FRIDAY MORNING.ROOM WAS LOVELY AND CLEAN-AND NOT TOO HOT!!BATHROOM A BIT SMALL BUT ADEQUATE.NICE POWERFUL SHOWER.HAVE STAYED NUMEROUS TIMES IN PAST AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO WHEN VISITING CARDIFF.

Dark, wet and cold in December....an overnight stay next to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff for the Rugby: car park full and the manager Dermott was standing in the pouring rain organising extra parking for his guests!! Now that is service. We have a large mobility scooter and when he spotted this, he moved the car from the car park next door, into […] a reserved space by the hotel...he was great, thank you. Inside we were unable to get the scooter into the lift so had to use the service lift...staff were brilliant and made the job easy for us...note to design architect; wider doors required on lift!! The hotel was soooo busy with the International rugby and Christmas parties but the staff remained calm and cheerful and helpful. Hooray for the Holiday Inn Cardiff, we will definitely return, thank you Mehr

Confortable hotel with all the required services; 2 minutes walk from Cardiff Castle & shopping promenade. Practicle on site parking. No free wireless internet.

Great location but overpriced for such a samll ecnomy hotel. Their billing system was very poor and unlear which caused confusion.

This hotel was great! It was right in the centre of Cardiff and therefore very accessible. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was good in this hotel but my room was too small to accomodate 3 adults. There was no room to move around in the room after a folding bed included to accomodate 3 adults.

The plug in the hand basin stuck the first time I used the basin to wash my hands, and the lever which is supposed to activate the plug seemed disconnected. As it was a week-end a plumber was not called and I wasted your water for the remainder of my stay. Otherwise everything in the room was in perfect working order. Brilliant location - right next to Millenium Stadium with a riverside walk to SWALEC stadium. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast - what more could you ask for?? Would definitely book again next time I'm in Cardiff!!!

Conveniently located hotel close to every amenity. Excellent rooms, good food and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Would certainly return to this hotel again.

Hotel is superb location oposite castle and virtually next to the Millennium Stadium. I stayed at the hotel over a weekend whilst taking in the Rugby League super league magic weekend over 2 days at the Millenium Stadium. Fantastic location if you are attending a stadium event. Clean comfortable hotel. Rooms a little small and double beds are doubles […] and not king size as in a lot of hotels. Bar prices and food prices not cheap but the town centre with many pubs and resturants is 2 mins walking distance. Be prepared to not have car parking space in the hotel car park when an event is on at the Millenium Stadium as hotel very busy and car park not big enough for all guests. However we did manage to squeeze in the car park and overall would not hesitate to use this hotel again and would probably be my preference for staying in Cardiff again Mehr

Went to cardiff with my 18yr old daughter, my sister & 17yr old niece as the girls went to a JLS concert and we thought we would do a bit of xmas shopping and make it a girly weekend. We left home early in the morning but due to two cancelled trains we arrived at the hotel after lunch. We were still a bit to early for checking in but the reception staff […] were lovely & seeing the room was ready we were allowed to take our bags straight to our room.It took just minutes to book in and they were so friendly, made up for the awful morning. Went to the room just to drop our bags and it was lovely to find the room lovely and clean (been to some bad ones) with a view of the river & park. Had a lovely weekend as everything we needed was in easy walking distance, shops bars restaurants cardiff arena and train station. Will definitly be going back. Thanks Hotel.com Mehr

perfectly acceptable hotel.

The rooms are small but clean and the hotel is basically next door to Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Castle. Also about a 10-minute walk from the rail and bus stations. A good deal cheaper than the other city centre hotels, from what I can tell. Only complaint is that £15 per day for internet access is ridonkulous.

It is close to the main sites and across the road from a beautiful park.. Friendly staff. very comfortable bed and had a coffee/tea pot included. loved that. breakfast if you ask for a voucher at the desk is 9.50, otherwise it is 13.95?? Don't get that. would definitely stay again and felt safe and secure.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Nice bathroom with up to date fixtures. Furniture wasn't spectacular, but it got the job done. AWESOME location with view of the stadium in my "back yard". Nice bar area, awesome room service. Loved it and I am pretty picky with my hotels.

good value if your looking for a moderately priced hotel room, no complaints,happy staff.

my 2 daughters mum and I were in cardiff for TAKE THAT and if you are going to a gig at the millenium stadium then this hotel is in the best location. The breakfast was expednsive at 14 quid a head but cardiff city has fantastic cafe and restaurants so after a short walk we were easily fed. Avoid La VITA on castle street 50 mins for a breakfast that […] is still to arrive we walked out!!! The rooms were very small and very hot but i would stay here again becasue the location eas fantastic!!! Mehr

Welcomed by friendly and well mannered staff, couldn't ask for anything more, although the hotrel is in the centre of bustling Cardiff, when you close the window you can hardle hear a thing, like I said in the title...Perfect. Thanks Holiday Inn Cardiff

Excellent hotel , excellente chambre familiale très bien située, en face du chateau, à côté du Millenium Stadium et proche des boutiques et des magasins à Cardiff; c'est parfait !

Ligger nær Millenium stadion (Rugdby) Ligger sidenav borg. 10 minutter og gå fra togstasjon Handle mekka for damer,liv på pub og blide mennesker. Kan gå til fotballstadion.

Para quem precisa ficar perto do Millennium Stadium em Cardiff, este é o hotel ideal! Além disso, centros comerciais como shoppings e restaurantes ficam bem próximos e o castelo de Cardiff, excelente atração turística, é do outro lado da rua!
