The hotel is a beautiful facility and so conveniently located in central Austin on the edge of the Universituy of Texas campus. The staff members were very professional and helpful, rooms well appointed and a special high light was our dinner in The Carillon restaurant - fabulous!

Very well maintained hotel. The room was spacious and the area around the building was nice and it was in great proximity to downtown Austin.

the entire staff-from front door valet to desk to bar...was exceptionally friendly, polite and accomodating!! A little expensive-but weell worth it.

Exelent location,great front desk service , ....the only one small negative experianse,housekeeping left only decafinated coffee

When we got up in the morning, both the hot and cold water were scalding hot. I had to run a small amount into the bathtub, then we added ice so I could take a sponge bath. My feet still looked as though they had been seriously burned. When I complained the first time, the ladies at the desk just said that the engineer had just fixed. It took a second […] complaint, and then the man at the desk comped our parking. Also, our coffee machine leaked when water was added. I hope my complaint resulted in its replacement or furniture and carpet in the room could be ruined. Mehr

This is the perfect hotel for parents visiting their students at UT. It is within easy walking distance of the drag, restaurants, shopping, churches and of course the campus and stadium for games. It also has great lounging areas outdoors, a neat bar and great UT spirit. Will definitely stay there again.

Took a short weekend trip with my wife for our birthdays and couldn't be HAPPIER with our stay! Non-invasive service, SUPER nice facility, great, comfortable rooms with just the right amount of modern. The best part is that this hotel is right on the Drag and close to everything cool - just a 5 min drive to SoCo, Lamar, 6th st, etc. The only downside […] was the semi-costly garage parking, but any city dweller knows this is just a necessary evil. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet and comfortable room with nice smelling luxury sheets and bedding, walking distance to many eateries. Fridge and safe in room were nice to have. Extremely convenient to UT. Handicapped room was sufficiently accessible. Would stay again if available next trip to UT. Cost was twice what we normally pay, but all […] the luxury upgrades from the standard motel and the convenience to UT made it worth the price. One night stay and didn't eat on site. No problem finding our way around from parking lot to room and back - just pay attention. Mehr

Parking is not included. That's an extra fourteen a night. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time! Not! The lady at the front got all snippy about it..."All the hotels in downtown charge for parking" she said. Well, this is something I should have known about ahead of time, but I'm not bitter. Now. I was. I agree with another reviewer that the tower […] view is overrated. The tower is so small it wasn't even worth breaking the camera out. Whoever took the photo on the site had a 400mm telephoto lens. This hotel was not a romantic couple's retreat like I had hoped for. It was clean. The bed was a little hard but fairly comfortable. The TV was small. The fridge was nice. The art museum nearby (across from the IMAX) was excellent though. Also really close to the capitol building. Location was great. There are plenty other hotels nearby that we will be trying next time we go to Austin. The walls were thin, so we heard the neighbors do stuff that should have been private. Don't bring your kids here. The elevators smell like grease and dirt and are squeaky and slow. The neighborhood is safe feeling. Mehr

Definitely the place to stay if visiting the University of Texas. In walking distance to any part of the campus. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed there over Christmas break for family gathering. Great location. Beautiful room. My only complaint was the VERY loud partying that went on across the hall. I finally called and it was taken care of, but the room walls are thin and there is little sound proofing from outside.

Really enjoyed the stay. Location can't be beat. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

Every person who works at this hotel bent over backwards to take care of me. From the warm welcome when I arrived at 1:45 in the morning after a delayed flight from NY to the coffee barista to the front desk person, first class service. And the room was quiet and spacious and comfortable.

What's not to like at this hotel and conference center. It has a great location, wonderful service, excellent casual and formal dining and clean, comfortable rooms. It is our hotel of choice when we make our frequent treks to Austin.

I love this hotel. It is close to campus, downtown, and the lake. Also, it has a GREAT burger shack next door - players.

The staff was lovely. The room was sufficient (nothing glamourous. The location to campus was perfect.

Nice hotel in a great location. The light bulb was burned out in one of the lamps and there was no light bulb in another lamp, making the room very dark. The TV remote had a bad battery and would only work if held very close to the TV. These types of maintenance issues should not occur in a hotel of this cost and rating.

The AT&T Hotel & Conference Center was really nice. Everything was brand new, classy/trendy, and it offered all the moderns amenities one could hope for. As an added bonus (and probably because it's owned by AT&T), the TV had the complete AT&T uVerse package. hundreds of HD channels on a nice, big flat screen. The only downside to the hotel was that […] it was initially hard to find my way around. It's more of a conference center that happens to have a hotel attached than it is a hotel that can host conferences. I only stayed one night and by the second day I was already a little annoyed by maze-like journey I had to make from the parking garage to my room. A small inconvenience in light of such a nice, affordable hotel though. Mehr

it was not the best experience this time, between the elevator noises waking us up very, very early and the squeaky noise from the bed every time my husband turn during the night, we didn't get much rest. I WAS NOT VERY HAPPY.

It took 3 times to get us the correct room type. I had booked 2 double queens and twice was sent to king bedded rooms. Very unprofessional and frustrating. The bathroom sliding door did not stay open and when it shut, it made a long bang. Too bad if you wanted to sleep when someone else in the room had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night […] like we did! Mehr

Try not to get a "parlor" room. The murphy bed was not comfortable at all.

My husband and i just stayed 3 nites at this holet and it was wonderful. VERY CLEAN rooms, and that was no. 1 on my list. The staff was great and very friendly. When we go back to texas we WILL stay there agian.

The concierge was very helpful and friendly. Also, the gentelman @ the coffeshop was friendly and his service was great.

This is our second stay at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center at UT. While the hotel was A+ overall (friendly staff, convenient location, etc.) there were a couple of bad spots this time. The bartender was very selective in who he served on the night we were there. One of the waiters had to ask twice for him to serve us at our table. We sat for about […] 15 mins and others who came behind us were served first. Don't know why--maybe the bartender was having a bad day when we were there. We had no problems with the other bartenders. Also, our room was not well kept. simple things like paper and a pen were not in our room. it also seemed that no matter how long we were out, when we got back, the room was never done and we had to wait. This was, I must add, in sharp contrast with our previous stay. Previously, we had a 5-star experience in this hotel which was why we elected to stay this time. Great location right there on campus. We just love and would stay there again.

The hotel is large and impersonal, but is clean, comfortable, and located near the heart of the University Campus. I highly recommend it for any business associated with the University.

Our stay at this hotel was okay overall. The room was clean but the front desk staff could be a bit nicer and their restaurants could be better. We ordered dessert from Gabriel's Cafe one night and instead of caramel on our brownie they had put balsamic vinaigrette because the chef mislabeled the balsamic vinaigrette as caramel. Then the next morning […] we went to The Carillon for breakfast and the service from our waitress was horrible and the food was cold. If you choose to stay at this hotel please save your money and eat elsewhere. Mehr

This was my first time to stay at this hotel. It was a little big, for my taste, and hard to find your way around, but everyone was very courteous and helpful. The hotel is very nice and is in a great location. I did not have a chance to try any of the restaurants or bar, so cannot comment on them. I had an Exec Murphy Queen room. The room was quiet […] and larger than I expected. Everything about it was great, except for the bed!!! It was a fold down bed and was not the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Very low to the floor, overly firm mattress and the flat mattress pad kept bunching up. I really don't know why they designed the room like that, as there is plenty of room for a regular bed. I thought it was a space issue and did not need a large room, as I was traveling alone. Also the lighting near the bed is not great for reading at night. I would stay here again, but prob not choose the same room!!!! They could greatly improve the quality of this room, by replacing the bed. Mehr

The customer service at this hotel is the best. Anything that we wanted or needed the hotel staff did everything to ensure that our stay was the best. Definitely recommend this hotel
