The location is fantastic. Interior architecture beautiful. Rooms a little out-dated but that's not a big deal. Wifi speed was great. Service friendly. Would definitely stay again.

smelled like paint the first day... bathroom was small as was overall space. Everything else was acceptable, however.

Loved the ambience of the hotel. The hotel is obviously from a different era, but it's really charming. The staff could not have been nicer. The room was a little small, but again, a different time. Would definitely go back.

Complementary Wi-fi and many places to meet in private. Nothing to complain about. Close enough to the conference centers and far enough away to feel secluded. Had an elegant feel without being ostentatious.

This hotel has rules! No hats, business attire, and dont expect to get waited on in the bar and lounge. I guess we were all dressed wrong. Actually had someone come over and tell me to take my hat off.

I found the history and character of the Columbian Club a delightful surprise and relief from the generitc offerings. The architecture and furnishings are lovely and I enjoyed dinner in the lounge. I would definitely stop here again and recommend the Columbian Club to frien

This hotel is very old and the rooms are not updated. Great location and very friendly staff but it doesn't make up for the lack of cleanliness of the room. Overall we were very disappointed and will find a new place to stay next time we're in Indy.

Landmark hotel to stay in in Downtown Indy.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Lucas Field and the Convention Center. The hotel is a "grand old hotel" in the middle of renovation. The main floor is beautiful and the service is excellent. Our floor looked like it was at the start of renovation. The wallpaper had been taken down and the walls were bare in the hallways. This hotel is in the heart of Indy! Great location, but major renovation under way! Our room was TINY and had a double bed. The bathroom was so small and the shower alternated between ICE COLD and SCALDING HOT. THe TV was probably 20 years old and 14 inches diagonal with limited programing. The view of the parking ramp and roof lacked! THe lobby is […] beautiful, but be aware: NO baseball caps, jeans, etc... There are many newer, NICER places within one block. Mehr

This hotel is in a great location -- it is located right on monument circle in Indy. The lobby of the hotel is also very nice. However, the room itself was not very nice. This is an older hotel and it appears to be undergoing renovations. Maybe they will upgrade the rooms. In the mean time, the rooms are pretty old-fashioned and the bathroom was awful. […] It took 15 minutes for the shower to warm up from freezing cold water to warm water. Even then, the tempature of the water would switch from warm to freezing cold every couple of minutes. If you don't care about the condition of the room, then the location and lobby of the hotel are great. Mehr

The lobby is very cool. It takes you back in time. I liked my stay. I was put on a floor that they were renevating. That was not for me, so when I voiced my opinion about it the next day, they happily switched me to a floor that was already renovated. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was new. It is old and still has old fixtures in the bathrooms […] even in the renovated rooms, but it is clean. My wake up call was a knock on the door with my breakfast. That was good too. Mehr

Hotel was very nice but the rooms weren't as nice as I thought they would be.

While it is a true historic treasure and a fabulous downtown location, the age of the hotel becomes quite apparent through with the old construction of rooms and lack of sound barrier. I woke up from a dead sleep at 1am to the guests next door returning from a night out on the town. Their voices carried through the walls as if I was right there in teh […] room with them. Again, woke up at 4am to the guests below us. Shower went to ice cold twice during showers. Safely can assume I won't stay here again! Mehr

I love the old nestolgia of the hotel and the location is great. the service at the hotel was very good. the only bad thing about my stay was that the hotel was getting remodeled and on out floor there were areas that were in need of repair that were not mark off or hidden from the public, it made the hotel look cheap.

Overall the hotel was nice. The rooms were a little cold even with the heat turned all the way up.

Beautiful grand place. Higher floors have been updated. Hot water suspect. Restaurant delicious. Would definitely stay again. Near all.

The Columbia Club is pretty much like it sounds, an exclusive club hotel. The hotel lobby and exterior is beautiful, the service is attentive and the location couldn't be better. Unfortunately, the non-renovated rooms are dated and worn and appear completely out of character based on your initial impression upon arrival. (Just to add, the old showers […] are low-flow and finicky with the hot water.) I am not sure how you book the renovated rooms - they may be reserved for member only. I switched from the Hilton Garden (right around the corner) which saved enough money to pay the valet fees, but in hindsight I should have paid the extra for the room and parked myself. Mehr

iT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE THE ROOM READY AT CHECK-IN, WE WERE EVEN LATE FOR SCHEDULE CHECK-IN AND IT WAS STILL NOT READY.

this nostalgic hotel is very interesting to see from the lobby but right now I do not recommend staying here. they are under renovation and the wallpaper in the halls is falling off the walls, no hot water and I would think if they were interested in their guests experience, they would invest in new beds, linens and pillows soon as they were all not […] in good shape or very comfortable. I assure you had I known about the condition of the rooms in advance, I would not have stayed here! Mehr

We were delayed checking in to our room by an hour and a half because the rooms were not clean. My room was extremely outdated. The bathroom was also very outdated. The water pressure was terrible.There was no hot water for showering. The ice machine was broken. The room keys had to be re-programed 3 times because they did not work. Asked for a renovated room, got one and it was great. Hotel is super convenient to downtown restaurants and shopping (walking distance).

The rooms were very cramped, but clean. They also told us the hotel was haunted- which did NOT help us sleep! Why they told us this, I don't know and I would have preferred they kept that to themselves. I would have to say again, clean and it served its purpose- but I wouldn’t stay again.

The hallway to my room looked like a scary movie. My room had a projection TV in it, and it hissed when it was on for more than 15 minutes. The floor and wall bathroom tiles looked like the NYC subway. The toilet looked like it was from a public restroom. I'm 5'9", and I was taller than the shower. The shower and sink drain did not drain properly, which […] was pretty gross. The windows were dressed with shear and heavy curtains, but only the shear curtains close, as the heavy curtains were only for decoration. Right outside my window was a parking garage. So, when it was night time, there was still light coming in (a lot of it). The walls were white, and the closet door was black, so when I turned off the lights at night, all I could see was a black hole that looked like the gateway to hell, which added to the scary setting already established by their hallway. While I was staying there, they were "restoring and preserving their hotel". I could hear them doing the work at 3 AM. The only positive from staying here was that it made me really appreciate my home when I got back. Mehr

This place is a Club house from the 1800's. it is a historical building but the inside is modern. It is very old luxury.

Great staff, great place. Would definately recommend this place. Convenient location right in Downtown Indy. Clean room, great view of the city. I was on a vacation, but the room was very suitable for a business traveler with plenty of room and tables and desks for working.

Lovely old hotel right on monument circle..Our bathroom door was warped and wouldn't close, door to hotel room was warped and you really had to put a shoulder in it to get it open at all. Lobby area was beautiful and staff was exceptional. Just an old old building.
