Amethyst Lodge - Jasper

This Hotel is good, everything is good, but do not go into the hot tub, if you do not like much chlorine or have an allergic reaction. Das Hotel ist super, alles in Ordnung. Lage direkt am Geschehen. Der hot tub ist vom Chlorgehalt gewöhnungsbedürftig. Trotzallem kann ich es nur weiterempfehlen.

It's a sweet place to stay, it has a hot tub, but didn't have a fridge in the room. good beds clean room!

Stay was good, room good but could do with upgrading to include a small fridge to store water and some perishable food while staying for a few a days.

Good value with few frills. A bit noisy due to thin walls. Great yo use other pools from other neighboring hotels

Room was clean and ready when we got there. Patio wasn't cleaned and had newspaper on it, so we called the front desk and maintenance was there within five minutes and cleaned it up. Very friendly staff.

undergoing renovation at this time in the west wing. Needs the face lift as getting a little long in the tooth.

We arrived at the Hotel around 9:00PM and the room was fine. However the screen door appeared to be broken which didn't exacly make us feel safe. Nonetheless we had two small chidren with us and we needed to travel early in the morning so we made do with it. Expecially for those placed on the first floor I would appreciate the screen door to be securly […] locked for the customers safety. All sorts of things happen in this day and age and if something happened as a result of the screen not being in safe working order, would be very unfortunate. No I would not stay there again, for the reason of having small children and I need to feel 100% safe. The service was good and I am just glad that we were not made responsible for the damage to the screen. My husband made the staff know in the evening what that condition the door was in because it was not our doing. Thank you. Mehr

the hotel staff were very plezent and heplful It wasn,t the best westeren but it was nice stay. they didn't have full pool for the kids but we were able to use the pool at another hotel they owned. were was great of the kids.

New years snowboarding trip with large group of friends. A  little noisy because we were close to the stairs, but that's to be expected for new years. Walking distance to go out for dinner or for the evening. Lots of parking across the street. Hotel staff very friendly. Not the nicest or newest  rooms but clean.

Clean room, friendly staff, cheap, and they have two outdoor hot-tubs, perfect after a hard day of skiing. only thing to make them a five would be a free breakfast other than that, they rock!

It's an older hotel, but the staff were nice, the rooms were clean and quiet. We stayed over on New Years Eve and were surprised that we heard no partying. I would stay again.

I had stayed at this hotel about 2 weeks prior and loved my room and bed. But this time the room we had seemed as though it was an after thought. The bathroom was so small you had to step next to the toilet to even close the door and the beds were very uncomfortable and the room itself was much smaller than the other room. Never stay in room 206.

I know that this Hotel is non-smoking, but maybe it should be very clear that even left handed cigarettes should be band too.Some one had been smoking pot and my children were getting sick from it because it was coming into our room. The building is in need of reno. They've done as well as they can without doing a full reno, however the building itself is not in good enough shape to justify a reno. The floor in our room was way off level and the door was a parallelogram, not a rectangle. The hotel was fine but nothing to write home about. The stay was good and the amenities acceptable. If you need just a place to stay with no frills, then use this hotel. The price is right and the quality is OK.

IClean rooms although they need maintenance, comfortable beds, good location, we were there to ski not spend time in the room. Do not request a rollaway as they are sagging and full of springs.

Very comfortable and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was it could use more parking spaces.

Would have liked Front Desk hospitality staff to offer assistance re contacting on-line reservations vendor re an extra day overbooked. TV remote had to be re-set after 1st night, but maintenance staff was prompt. Housekeeping staff followed my instructions on making up the room by just replenishing towels and toiletries. Fabulous mountain view from […] 2nd floor room with outdoor balcony. Within walking distance of all amenities. First class food in dining room windowed to the street. I would recommend as a no-frills home base to explore the Natural surroundings of this area. Mehr

Hotel was visibly getting old. Floor creaked. Good location. Cheapest rate I could find. I would rate hotel as very average.

Great place to stay, very helpful & friendly staff!

I needed a room at the last minute and the Amythyst was able to fill my needs by providing a lovely room in a great location for a reasonable rate. I was very pleased.

Located in Jasper down town, convenient to foods and shopping. Nice, Clean and comfortable. Except the rate is on the high side. Lower rates will be most welcome.

definitely more than a 2*, our stay here was great. From the moment we arrived (early); the staff was accommodating and very very friendly. Our room faced the mountains and we were able to take in the beautiful mountain sunrise every morning from our balcony! The restaurant was excellent, the food was fast, hot and fresh.

The Toilet was discusting.First visuual walking into bathroom was that the toilet had been used and not flushed, which was not the case. the toilet was stained, Also the toilet was loose when sitting on it it moved. It,s an old hotel, but they should put some money into replacing the toilets and the sink was chipped --POOr
