We stayed here when we went to Sacramento to catch a River Cats baseball game. The hotel is in a GREAT location a short walk to Old Sacramento, the Capital and the River Cats' stadium. I booked on hotels.com so I didn't expect a premium room but we got in early and the front desk people were super nice. They gave us an early check in and a room with […] a beautiful view of the river and the bridge. We took the train up so we didn't have to worry about the parking fee. The room was spotlessly clean. We loved our spacious suite and made sure to partake of the free happy hour and the free buffet breakfast. The breakfast was great! It included a decent buffet and an omelet bar. The pool is small and we were here on a weekend so it was full of children pretty much the whole time. The hot tub was in the same room, so not a relaxing enviornment (and the jets were WEAK) but it was great for the kids. They had a blast splashing around in the heated pool. To top it all off they gave us a 2:00 check out so we got to enjoy a second day, which we spent wandering around Old Sac. I highly recommend this hotel especially for families with children. Mehr

I wish I had been able to spend more time at the hotel!

Check in was delayed by 45min... when we returned to ck in 90 min later the room still wasn't ready.... when we told them we would just get another hotel the room was instantly ready... with no apology of any kind...as we left the lobby it was full of people waiting to ck in... unhappy appearing people... so there must be a problem with their front […] desk.... room was clean and hotel was nice...however I would not stay again.....customer service makes or brakes a place for me...:-/ and this hotel is lacking service big time... I was surprised when I arrived at the parking charge per night and the surcharge that was automatically charged on my credit card to cover incidentals. I believe a customer should be charged at the time of purchase, not just in case.

This is a very nice hotel. The only complaint I had was below my windows were some very niosey fans I did wake at night, but was tierd to ask for an other room. Will not do that again.

Our experience staying at Embassy Suites was perfect! Beautiful hotel, the rooms were so inviting and cozy! Best of all, the staff was amazing! They went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Comfortable, accommodating, relaxing. However, it should be posted on their Web site or hotels.com, there is a $25 parking fee. But it's not enough to deter us from staying here again. Happily satisfied.

The staff was helpful and kind.

We were very comfortable, my 3 year old loved the view of the bridge! We had a good time in the uncrowded clean pool! Definately highly recommended!

Walking distance from downtown, Old Sacramento and State Capitol buildings. Our room was on the side facing a main thorough fare and a freeway -- noise from the windows was significant. Would ask for a river view room if I were to stay there again. Breakfast had a good selection of items.

I liked the hotel very much - was dissapointed in the $25.00 parking charge though.

The room was beautiful, the staff personable, the breakfast delicious, and this beautiful hotel was near the Tower Bridge. We enjoyed a short walk to Old Sacramento to visit fun shops.

Our recent stay at the Embassy Suites was great. Loved the room and the ambiance. Room and hotel was clean Service was outstanding. Location good. We're coming back soon! Experience was pleasant and food was surprisingly good.

We are local to the Sac area and just wanted to get away for a night. We chose this hotel due to the walking proximity to Old Sac and the fact that it has an indoor pool and spa. While this is a very nice hotel in a great location - lots that you can walk to - keep in mind that parking at the hotel will cost you $25/night.

My family of 4 stayed here Christmas weekend and let me tell you, it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a very long time. The hotel was beautiful, clean and warm and the rooms were comfortably spacious. We had a free continental breakfast that included the largest selection I've ever seen (even custom made omelets!) Free newspapers on […] our doorstep each morning and the front desk staff were very friendly. I thought for sure that because we were facing the I5 freeway we would get NO sleep but it was remarkably quiet! The bellmen were super speedy as well as valet with getting our car. I was so impressed with this hotel that I will stay here every time I come to visit family in Sacramento! Mehr

across the street from Front Street, many cute shops, great food, Joe's Crab Shack a 2 min walk, very good seafood. Nice Sunday breakfast buffet included, along with happy hour cocktails from 530-730, large rooms, could have slept 6. Will stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel while the entire family went on the Polar Express through the Old Town Sacramento Historic Railroad. It was the absolute perfect location! The staff could not have been more supportive of our large family group. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were nice and spacious. I only needed a hotel room for one night as I was attending a conference at the Convention Center. Although there are hotels right next to the Convention Center, I chose the Embassy Suites because of the comfort and value I previously experienced at this hotel chain. The Sacramento location did not disappoint! It was also nice to get away from the grind […] of the conference area...almost felt like a mini getaway! Not to mention, returning to the Convention Center the next day was a very easy five minute drive...well worth the comfort and value of my Embassy stay. Thank you Embassy Sacramento for a relaxing stay during my business travel. Only wish I could have had one more night in that amazingly comfortable bed! Mehr

Great location for the Old Sac and downtown area. Some minor deferred maintenance with room, otherwise we thought it was a very good value for the money. Small suite layout provided both a bedroom and living room.

Great place to stay with amazing views of the river.

Hotel was nice and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is a plus. Only problem was we called maintenance as TV remote didn't work. We were twice told someone was coming, but nobody ever did.

This was the worse stay I have ever had at an Embassy Suites Hotel. I payed extra to get a room on the top floor. The carpet had stains on it and it had rolls all over the place. It needed to be restreched. The remote controls on the television barely worked you would have to push them very hard and wait about 1 minute before the channel would change. […] The bed had only 200 thread sheets and were not soft. You would think at those prices it would be at least 300 thread count. There was a convention going on downstairs and they were noisy until 4:00 AM as it echoed all the way to the top floor making it hard to sleep. Also it started up again about 7:00 AM so there was only about three hours of peace. The room was very dated except for the widescreen televisions and the pictures were not very nice. The room temperature was either to cold or hot. It did not matter what you set the themostat to. When I opened the window due to the location all you heard was traffic noise so that did not work either. Over all I would not recommend this Hotel as it is pricy for what you get and the breakfast though it is a lot is just mediocre at best. There are better hotels like the La Riverage which is much better for the price. Mehr

It was great!

I really enjoyed my stay at Embassy Suites in Sacramento. It was very close to downtown and Old Sacramento and Amtrak station. It overlooks the River. I will be sure to stay there again.

One of our favorite Embassy Suites, great location on the river. Staff could be a bit friendlier, especially the morning breakfast staff. Overall, great value.

The Hotel Staff are ***EXCELLENT***! Our conference room was set up just as we requested and they were on the spot ready to provide additional assistance if needed. They also helped us surprise our friends with Roses, Chocolates and Martinellis in their room prior to check-in. The amenities are excellent - made to order breakfast is included. The hotel […] is walking distance, across the street, from Old Sacramento with excellent shops, restaurants and a waterfront stroll. The hotel is nice, the cocktail reception and breakfast were great. Unfortunately, the valet parking was terrible. The hotel was busy, but the valet crew was under-staffed and unorganized. Everything else was great.

We stayed in a river view room with a great view of the Tower Bridge. It's just a few steps away from Old Sacramento, which is has dining, bars, shops, the railroad museum and plenty of charm. It is nice to have that extra room with a desk, couch and TV. There's also a sink, a small fridge and a microwave. Breakfast is a buffet, though they also have […] cooked to order items (free!). It was a very busy Labor Day weekend with about a hundred children running around the hotel lobby and pool area screaming their heads off, but that extra door to the bedroom blocked out the noise. Sadly, we were there for some romance as it was our anniversary. The noise at breakfast drove us out to have a nice morning walk along the river. We wouldn't have done that normally, and it turned out to be a great way to start the day. Mehr

We had a great stay, friendly and helpful staff/valet/front desk. Close to RR Museum and Old Town, walking distance to everything we needed. We will stay again for the fun of it...free happy hour and AWESOME breakfast!

If you enjoy baseball, grab your kids or buddies, stay at this Embassy Suites, grab a complimentary cocktail, walk to the game, then have a leisurely complimentary great breakfast. A darned fun evening!
