Dieses Hotel kann ich bestens empfehlen. Das Zimmer war für mexikanische Verhältnisse extrem sauber, es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Auf der ansprechend wirkenden Dachterasse mit vielen Pflanzen geniesst man das Frühstück umso mehr. Zudem ist die Terasse mit einer Spadusche ausgestattet.

The hotel is located at the tip of 5th Ave and a few senic blocks away from the beach. Its a well maintained property with rooms that don sophisticated style. The staff is more than pleasant. This hotel is very good value. The rooms are simply designed, but very pleasant on the eye. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, though only a minimal selection is on offer. There are only two off street parking spaces which is not ideal. Also, there can be noise from outside the rooms due to the band over the road at night […] and also some other guests, however during the night it is relatively quiet. I would recommend this hotel. Honestly, this was the best possible hotel to provide the relaxing vacation we were looking for. Perfect for our style (not fans of all-inclusives) and great value overall. Location is also good: Though it may seem a little out of the way on the map, it's within the pedestrian portion of 5th ave. and we walked a ton every day to and from the hotel without […] issue. The hotel provides tasty complimentary rooftop breakfasts made to order, friendly staff, and access to 3 different beach clubs, each of which caters to a different taste.The rooms are very nicely appointed. Some of the best features were the large bathroom with glass and tile shower, thermostat control for the room temp, and a comfortable bed. Tropical climate=humidity: The provided dehumidifier was an excellent bonus. It sucked over a gallon of water out of the air daily and made a huge difference in comfort. Wifi signal was weak in the rooms but strong in the common areas. For our preference of the beach clubs, Las Palapas (an all-inclusive resort) was unparalleled: It was a short walk and featured a clean beach and water, relaxed atmosphere, and great service. Mehr

We stayed at two different places in Playa. The great thing about Casa Ticul is that it is not near any of the noisy nightclubs, so we had three nights of relative peace. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic but beware (general tip for Mexico in general) of taking their advice on tours to take or places to eat. We love this hotel! The rooms are comfortable and there are several places to sit outside and relax, have a beer, read a book, eat take out from the Kool Fish restaurant next door. The included breakfast served on the rooftop terrace is superb with a daily special and many other options. Lots of fresh fruit. The breakfast ladies include Julie who is […] a culinary student and she seems to speak at least 3 languages. The desk staff will help book restaurants and activities and simply can't do enough for their guests. The location is great. 3 blocks from the beach and at the quieter end of the main shopping and dining street. We thought it was a gay friendly hotel. We checked in to one king size bedroom with no problem. We arrived around midnight and the front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. I spoke Spanish to the staff, but everyone speaks good English. In our opinion, we thought everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. The breakfast on the roof was adorable […] and delicious with their daily breakfast special. The head cook/chef speaks English and Spanish. The housekeeper is really nice. We left tips every day and our room was very clean every day. We didn't take advantage of the three beaches they give passes too, due to our schedule, but the beach is just minutes away. This hotel isn't the Hyatt, but you will get a very good quality hotel with superb staff for the price and location. Mehr

Hotel Casa Ticul is well located and all of the staff were amazing. They really worked to make our stay in Playa del Carmen the best it could be. From finding parking for our car to arranging discounted tickets for Coco Bongo, the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casa Ticul. We had an especially helpful concierge (Diego, I think). Everything was clean, comfortable and great. Unfortunately, my husband and I got very sick on our way home - the only questionable thing that we could have eaten, or drank, was the water from the water tank in the hallway of the hotel. Not 100% sure, […] but that's what we narrowed it down to. I also forgot to mention that breakfast was delicious! Mehr

Pleasantly surprised, a nice little boutique hotel at the quieter end of 5th ave. Friendly staff, mini fridge not restocked, which was strange as its a great source of revenue and I like my $3 gatorades in the morning. Nice rooftop terrace, easy access to beach, and affiliated with 3 beach clubs. The room was immaculate, and housekeeping was great each […] day, minus the mini fridge issue, but really, not a big deal at all. It's far from collectivo's and the ADO if you use them, but if you know that like I did going in, not a big deal, its a 40 peso cab ride to either or a 15 minute walk. I'd enthusiastically stay there again, and for those who don't travel often to Mexico or Central America and find the musty smell that sometimes comes with very humid environments, this hotel smells fresh as a summer day in Idaho, which I assume to smell wonderful as I have never been to Idaho, but no musty smell at all. In heart of Playa for fun shopping, yummy food, yet only two quiet blocks from white sandy beach and turquoise waters, this hotel is a gem of an oasis. Only adults 18 and over, are permitted to stay so it was quiet and cozy. decor was clean and calming. Really enjoyed the pool especially during the too hot mid day sun so being baked and exposed at beach […] was not an option. Would happily recommend this hotel to family and friends. Mehr

Carolina, Diego, Lupita and the Casa Ticul staff were very professional, courteous, and kind. Each day of our stay, we were welcomed warmly and were pleasantly surprised with a fun, creative artwork of towels welcoming us to our room. Morning breakfast on the roof top was lovely and delicious.

The hotel location is great!!I It is on the 5th street, on a quiet area, but very close to the Restaurants and best beach clubs. The price-quality is fair. If you need elevators, this is not the place.

I loved the location of the hotel and the friendly staff. This is a small hotel with only 20 rooms and may be more for couples; however, my two friends and I had a great time while in Playa. The staff are helpful and able to communicate very well in English. They helped us with scheduling tours, even very last minute and made lots of recommendations. […] No matter how busy they were, they always had time for us. The hotel is very secure and I never felt unsafe or uneasy about leaving things in my room. The hotel has access to 3 close beach clubs and there is also a public beach about three blocks away. It's a litle bit of a walk to the main 5th Avenue area. The breakfast that's inlcuded with the room is awesome! There's always a special of the day as well as fresh fruit, yummy bread and lots of different melon water drinnks. If you decide to take an early morning exclusion, I would suggest taking the hotel up on their offer to pack a meal for you (no extra charge) as we thought we would have time for breakfast, but didn't. Overall, this is a great place to stay, and I will definitely go back on my next trip. Mehr

The sheets at Casa Ticul are not very comfortable, and the breakfast offerings are fairly meager. Other than those two small issues, Casa Ticul was perfect! It is located right on 5th avenue, but since it is on the far North end, noise is never an issue. Casa Ticul provides passes to the nearby beach hotels, so you get all the benefits of a beach hotel […] without paying for one. Every member of the staff was friendly, and the reccommendations they gave for meals and activities were outstanding on every occasion (go eat at Luna Maya across the street). We stayed at a beach resort and Casa Ticul on our recent trip, and Casa Ticul put the resort to shame. If we return to Playa del Carmen, I wouldn't stay anywhere other than Casa Ticul. Mehr

I stayed here for two nights with my wife and it was quite good. They changed our room as our original room had mold. But they told us right when we got there, showed us a new room - which was clean and nice, and gave us back the price difference, with a small gift; they were quite fair and nice to us. The hotel overall was tiny, but more like cozy. […] Room was reasonable size, clean, and neat. The location was also good as it is close to the beach, and close to all the restaurants. I especially loved the restaurants right in front of this hotel - they are pretty new and foods were good. Of course it is not like all-inclusive hotels, but it has comfort room, good location, good restaurants nearby, close to beach, reasonable price, and most of all, welcoming atmosphere. :) Mehr

From beginning to end I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. What a unique, stylish little hotel nestled right by the gorgeous beaches and fabulous restaurants and shops of Playa del Carmen. Staff was amazing.. breakfast on the roof top terrace divine.. bed and pillows super comfy and rooms gorgeously appointed with a stunning, big glass shower and lovely modern […] wash basin. I can't wait to come back and stay for a vacation rather than work next time!! I'll start with the staff. From the ladies that cook the amazing breakfast in the morning to the front desk crew we were amazed. The entire staff went above and beyond what we expected. The complementary breakfast was delicious and all you could eat. The rooms were always immaculate. The front desk people answered all our questions we had about where […] to eat or things to do and made reservations for us. The location of the hotel is close to a quite a few great restaurants. The hotel itself is on the quiet end of town so sleeping was not a problem. The location is close the beach and Fifth Ave. shopping and restaurants. It is a small hotel but big on service and quality. We have friends who stay there every year, I know we will be back. We highly recommend Casa Ticul to anyone wanting a quiet first class hotel. Hotel Casa Ticul was my favorite hotel we stayed in during our trip to the Yucatan. The staff is exceptionally helpful, and the room was the cleanest and most modern we stayed in. I checked the price when I returned because I couldn't believe how much we were given for the price. They have a wonderful breakfast that is included in the cost of the room, […] and includes fresh tropical fruit, yogurt, fresh juices, coffee, omelets/pancakes/toast/etc. Additionally, they have arrangements with several ocean front hotels, which are only two blocks away, so you can access their chairs/palapas/towels (and, at least where we went, have a 10% bar discount). Paloma, the concierge during our stay, was an excellent resource for restaurants and anything else we needed. Mehr

This hotel was right at the end of the main tourist area. Plenty of things to do and lots of good restaurants. The staff was happy and very helpful. We really enjoyed the free passes to three beach clubs that each specialized in either food, quiet, or activities. I loved this hotel. Quaint, but so well done and thought out. I could not rate it as the most luxurious or comfortable given the broad spectrum of high-end resorts, but I would hands-down stay there again and can say I truly enjoyed my time. Also, the staff, especially the cleaning crew and wait staff, were great. Warm and helpful and friendly.

Casa Ticul is just beyond the reach of the noisiest and busiest part of Avenida Quinta, in a more residential part of the Playa del Carmen community. The service and attention since we got in was very good, people are so nice...the rooms are very clean and confortable.... the breakfast is great every morning and its not far at all from where all the excitment is but still located in a much quiet zone so its good....

We were advised by both the hotel staff and a sign on the bathroom wall not to flush toilet paper down the toilet but rather throw "used" toilet paper in the trash can. Also no hot water in shower. It is a clean, quant hotel but these two factors greatly clouded the experience. I would definately stay elsewhere next time in Playa Del Carmen

Very basic hotel, but nice if you are just lucking for a place to sleep while you are in Play del Carmen. Pool is very small, but the hotel is only a few blocks from the beach. The location is good, right at the end of 5th, where all the action is.
