Golden Sun Lakeview Hotel - Hanoi

Wir waren zwar nur für eine Nacht in dem Hotel, aber für unseren Zweck (duschen, schlafen, Frühstück) war es super. Zentral gelegen und gute Sauberkeit. Luxus habe ich zu Hause ;) Good, clean, friendly.

Trotz Temperaturen von nur 10°C leider keine richtige Heizmöglichkeit. Sehr guter Service und sehr freundlich. Frühstücksraum mit blick auf den "See". Sehr guter Flughafentransfer :-)

The service and the location were excellent. It is in the middle of the action. The staff was very helpful and informative and reception staff were conversant in English. Exceptional French restaurant was just round the corner. It served the best French Onion soup I have ever tasted. Will reccomend hotel to friends.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel arriving late night from Danang. Upon seeing the bathroom in our first room we immediately requested another room which the management graciously gave us. The bathroom in this room was even worse. The tiling and shower are covered in mildew. So much so that the following morning we could not bring ourselves to take a […] shower. So we requested that they move us across the street to their sister hotel where the rooms are newer and cleaner. In all honesty, hotel staff were very polite and did their best to accommodate us. Additionally, there is construction going on in the hotel next door which begins at 7am and sounds like they are going to break thru the wall. Breakfast is mediocre at best Mehr

Very friendly and helpful staff. It's maybe a bit overpriced compared with other places we stayed at in Vietnam but OK for what it is. It's on a quiet street, close to the lake so you can get some space. It's also got a small balcony on each of the front rooms looking into a big tree which was rather nice. Breakfast was good. I had a good stay here. It is on the edge of the old quarter and a block from the lake. Breakfast was great and staff excellent. A great feature is the basket of local treats and fruit in your room as well as free laptop with Wi Fi. Restaurant reccommendations from the front desk were spot on too.

Excellent rơms for the price - included a laptop in our rơm, great breakfast. Location is steps from the lake and in the heart of the Old Quarter. Hotel staff were very friendly and spoke gơd English.

The best thing about this little gem is the location and the newness (2011) of the amenities on the second building they now have. The staff were the second best thing. They were very helpful and spoke english very well. They helped me take taxis, tours and walk the streets with a map. They go above and beyond for their guests. They even booked me hotels […] and flights and told me of other attractions to see in other cities. So, in the end my suggestion is to get newest accommodation in Vietnam as the older the places usually have a more musty the smell. Keep in mind this place has no outside windows from the room, but you will not care, as you will get enough outside time by touring around. The food here was fantastic, which is on their 9th floor and is all restaurant with balcony. So there are the views of the lake. Staff here were so kind! Plus the street is narrow so main traffic stays off this route usually. Lots of places to eat. Take a map to and from the hotel is a must!! You often get turned around easily. Enjoy!! Mehr

This hotel is located 1/2 block from the lake. EZ walking to EVERYTHING. All suggestions for restaurants spot on. Super clean room. Try to stay on an upper floor as lower floors can hear clatter from surrounding homes. Nothing loud, just need a pair of ear plugs. All staff excellent lead by the manager and her staff. the location was great, no doubt about that. but, the room was not clean; there was no heater and they gave me a pathetic little space heater; the hot water did not work one day in the middle of winter; the electricity went out for a couple of hours; breakfast sub-standard; I'd never recommend this hotel. other hotels in the area that are much bett […] er. We were a bit early and our room wasn't going to be ready for an hour. We were very tired after our flight so the staff upgraded us and put us into a room immediately overlooking the lake. It was beautiful. Breakfast on the roof top was a fabulous start to the day when we were moved the following day to the front on the building. the bathroom shower was odd and the wifi didn't work in our room but the staff was nice, breakfast was good and we enjoyed the location of the hotel- on a great street with lots of cafes and close to the lake and water puppet theatre.

For its category this hotel is very recommendable. The staff were absolute darling, helping out in anyway they could. All their recommendations proofed worthwhile. We had a very early check-in and were even offered additional breakfast! We would stay there again. The old quarter is within walking distance still the hotel is in a somewhat quiet side […] street. The staff at the hotel were very very nice they tried all they could to help us and make our stay pleasant.The room was comfortable and clean with a great view of the lake.It could not be better located.

The staff at the Golden Sun was extremely helpful and at time overly helpful. My wife and I were asking at the front desk if we could purchase airline tickets through them to HCMC, they said yes but before we confirmed that we wanted to go ahead with the transaction they had purchased the tickets for us and informed us that they wanted cash for the […] tickets. Fortunately the time of the tickets worked out but we need to delicately explain and do some negotiating to use our credit card to buy the tickets, is was an awkard experience. At first I thought it was a translation problem on our end but I saw another4 couple having the same problem with some bus tickets they purchased. The hotel conditions are 2 star by western standards but a solid 3 star for the area. Mehr

Compared to the other bargain hotels in Hanoi, this hotel was really perfect. No bugs in the room, a/c worked great, fantastic breakfast and really helpful and friendly staff.

The staff at the Golden Sun are lovely and all keen to do their best to help in every way. It is located on the edge of the Old Quarter right near the lake which is a great position to be. The air conditioning could be cooler but the helpfulness of the staff made up for this ha ha

水上人形劇上、ナイトマーケットなど市内の見どころに歩いて行ける立地の良さ。その分、夜も喧騒の中にあり静かな滞在と言うわけにはいきませんが活動派の観光の方にはお勧めです。 ホテルスタッフの対応がよく、「観光の予定は出来てますか、送迎の手配しましょうか、」など細かい配慮をしてくれます。

5日間滞在中、思いもよらない寒い雨の日続き！ ハノイで暖房が利かない事に不平は言えませんが、 バスタブがある事を条件に予約したのに一部屋はバスタブ無しで、到着日は他の部屋に空きも無く我慢。翌日からバスタブは付いていたものの温かいお湯を満たすまでお湯は出なかったのです。上層の部屋は眺望は良くもお湯は来ないようです。寒さのため下層でもホットシャワーの方が結果として良かったのかもしれません。 対応はかなり一生懸命してもらえました。 朝食ビュッフェは満足。注文のフォーも美味しかった。 寒い雨で無かったら、ほぼ満足でお勧めもしたいホテルです。ホテルの前にあるレストランのオーナーが日本人で、美味しいしスタッフのサービスも良く相談も出来て安心できます。

처음에는 그냥 작은 미니 호텔이라서 기대를 하지 않고 갔는데 로비에 있는 분들도 모두 친절하고 항상 문을 열어주셔서 작은 점에서도 좋았습니다. 방은 조금 작았지만 둘이서 쓰기에는 적당하고, 무엇보다 깨끗하고, 화장실에도 샤워 부스가 따로 있어서 좋아요ㅎㅎ 그리고 아침은 항상 먹었는데 신기하게 꼭대기층에 식당이 있어서 밥을 먹을때 창가로 보는 경치가 좋았고, 아침도 맛있어요^^ 음..단점이라고 하기는 좀 아닐수도 있지만 옆방에서 물을 사용하면 물소리가 들려서 좀 예민 하신분은 불편할수도 있을꺼예요..ㅎㅎ;;그리고 호텔이 골목에 있어서 제가 묵었던 2층발코니에서는 동네 골목이랑 앞집 발코니가 보이는거 밖에는..없고요(그대신 […] 새로운 문화를 보는것 같아서 신기했다는.^^) 그리고 저는 크리스마스이브에 가서 골목 오토바이소리로 시끌시끌 했네요ㅠ_ㅠ그래도 여행하는 동안에는 아주아주 만족스러운 곳이었어요^^ Mehr

乾淨,交通方便,客服好,值得推

Accueil charmant, personnel aux petits soins et pleins d'attention. Le meilleur hébergement que nous ayons trouvé rapport qualité/prix. Bonne situation dans une rue ombragée bien que de nombreux travaux alentours. A recommander...

Hôtel confortable et bien tenu. Un seul souci : malgré un petit chauffage d'appoint, la chambre est restée froide et humide pendant 4 jours rendant les nuits difficiles !
