I was impressed with the continental breakfast. There was something for everyone...a complete buffet spread. The room was clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was a little cold, so we did not spend much time there.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. We only stayed one night, but the overall experience was very nice. The free breakfast option was perfect. Lots of food options and was well attended by staff.

Overall, the Holiday Inn Express met all my basic requirements for business travel. The only negative item is the free breakfast as the food quality needs to be needed. The item aside, I will stay at this facility again when I am on the Virginia Eastern Shore.

Loved it. Breakfast was plentiful with cinnamon buns, biscuits, gravy, sausage and eggs. Our Deluxe Room was very large and easily held me, my wife and two teenage sons. It also had a nice TV that we could hook up our laptop on via HDMI cable. Dog friendly: the carriers for easily fit into the room and the backyard had a nice retention pond area for […] dog business. The Hotel advertised the indoor pool and was one of the primary reasons for picking this hotel, yet the Staff had it closed because of "Sandy" yet could provide no details of the issues why it was closed 2 weeks after the storm. The Breakfast bar was not maintained well and food was haphazardly put on the bar. Coffee was warm not hot and the hot water […] for tea and hot chocolate was cold. The stay was very nice the employees were very nice and the rooms were very clean and that made a huge difference. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to relax after a long day. My family stayed overnight 1 night on our way from philly to the Outer Banks. We could have done the ride straight through, but with 2 little ones, we wanted to take it slow. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The room was clean, but did have a strange smell. My husband thought it smelled like mildew, but I thought it smelled more like cleaning products. […] The rooms could definitely be better if they were a bit more spacious, but we did have 2 adults, 2 kids. The hotel in general was just fine however the water had a bad oder to it and was not drinkable. Supply your own drinking water and you'll be fine.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was even better. The rooms, not so good. Our first room was extremely musty smelling. We changed rooms within a few minutes. The next room was also musty, but not as much. The odd thing was that we were next to a King room that had a broken door lock, so the room was unoccupied and it smelled great. Everything was fine until we pulled out the pull out couch and the sheets were bloody..it was awful! They did switch our room for us which was just another inconvenience as it was 830 and we had to move all of our stuff as we as our 3 and 5 year old....yes its great they switched our rooms, but blood covered sheets is very unacceptable! The staff at Holiday Inn Express Exmore were excellent. They took the time to talk with us - even though the hotel was fully booked - and treated everyone as 'guests'. They were great.

It seemed that the air conditioning had trouble keeping the room cool. It was very warm in the room and the air would run and then shut off for just a few minutes and then turn back on. Other than that it certainly suited our needs.

The bed was one of the firmest matresses I have slept on in a long time, but I slept well. The AC unit, kept turning off and on. I was hoping it would stay on for white noise. Overall, very pleased .

Exactly what you expect from Holiday Inn- nice room, fair price. Not super fancy but a pleasant surprise for the money. The place was clean and everything worked as it was supposed to. Very hot day-100+ outside-top floor(3rd) at least 85. Room was about 80 and took several hours before it was bearable. Staff was great. Breakfast was great. Gotta do something about air on third floor, both hallways and rooms.

the hotel was perfect. Booked at the last minute and they were very accomodating. We did think that a queen 2 Bed suite was 2 bedrooms but it was just a very large room, which was still great. It was my fault for not reading well. We had a tiny issue (that could be had even at a Ritz Carlton) with the room when we arrived and they had it resolved, literally, […] within 3 minutes. I could not have asked for more. We had a boat attached to my truck and they let me park it in the parking lot under lights across multiple spaces with no issue. The hotel staff, front desk staff, and everyone we had interaction with was amazing. 100% recommend!! Mehr

Returning from Florida on this route to the Cape May Ferry many times. The hotel is a breath of fresh air as far as accomodations on this road. Well-mannered personnel, and near fast food restaurants as well as stores that might be useful to families.

The Holiday Inn is a clean hotel with high speed Internet access. Everyone there is super nice and tries to accommodate your request. They are the most advanced of the hotels on the Eastern Shore. However, the location of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. There are not a whole lot of businesses around the area for food (except fast food) and the […] hotel doesn't have a kitchen. They do serve breakfast, but it is pretty standard in that a lot of it is pre-packaged and looks like it is heated in a microwave or by a heat lamp. In short, this is the nicest hotel on the Eastern Shore (Northampton and Accomack counties), but it isn't the Marriot or Hilton. Mehr

This hotel is really clean and convenient for our group. We stop here on the way to the Outer Banks to take a break in our trip, since we are on our motorcycles. We will stay again. The breakfast is great also.

The hotel staff was very nice and the premiss was very clean. We had an issue with our door not closing and the front desk wasted no time in notifying maintenance. The problem was fixed immediately.

A good option on the Eastern Shore about half way between the MD and VA lines. The beds were comfortable and the baths were nicely appointed w/ granite finishes and a rainforest shower head. The complimentary breakfast met our expectations.
