Comfort Suites Central - Corpus Christi

The welcoming at desk was great ... rooms were fine and the breakfast a fairly complete menu. I liked the newspaper selections and general atmosphere. I would choose it again.

We didn't have a great check-in experience. Took a very long time.

Disapointed they would not allow my alert dog to stay in the room. I have a hearing disability and my alert dog is my hearing for door bells, knocks at door and telephone. Also could have a better breakfast.

I came in to town on a Saturday( Easter weekend) not expecting to stay and was very pleased to find this hotel on Hotel.com at a very great rate!! and for 5 guests! My wife,son and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Comfort Suites Central @ 538 S. Padre Island, week of 03/23/12 to 03/30/12. The staff there from the dining room to house keeping were highly professional at all times. I travel a lot for my job, but I have a price limit. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at, for the price. I highly recommend this one. Not too close to the beach, but a lot of the hotels near the beach are not so nice or are over my work budget.

"King suite with sofabed" room was very small for 4 people. Once we unfolded the sofasleeper ( which had a broken frame on one side- causing bad sagging)- it was so tight that it was tough to get by to reach the bathroom. The price was high for the room. The staff was excellent however, and very responsive when we requested extra towels, etc. The location […] is only fair- relative to the bayfront, but does have excellent access to the freeway. Mehr

When traveling for work, this hotel is perfect. Easy to get to, comfortable, quality rooms and amenities, good breakfast. Good value and nice staff. Perfect.

We stayed there for couple of days and have no complaints about the hotel,very clean and the staff was always ready to help. A big plus was the breakfast that is included with the reservation. Overall we had a great time in this hotel and we strongly recommend it.

great location, really nice room, the bed was premium, I hate to add a but, but walls were thin, or tv up really loud, don't forget your earplugs, they didn't have any. We will stay there again.

The hotel was very nice for the price. Had some issues with the AC, but hotel staff was very helpful to either get it fixed or move us to another room. If in the area I would stay again.

Fourth time we stay at this hotel - we'll keep coming back!

The hotel is new and the rooms are clean. They provide a refrigerator(with no freezer) and have LCD TV's. I enjoyed my stay and will be back my next time in Corpus Christi.

I recently took my two granddaughters (ages 10 and 8) to Port Aransas for a mini vacation before school starts. I searched all kinds of sites for a reasonable places to stay for 4 days and 3 nights. Hotels.com recommended CS in CC and I agreed even though it was about a 30 minute drive to Port Aransas. The drive was well worth it... The hotel was extremely […] clean, staff very sweet, the breakfast was hot and excellent. Overall stay is a perfect 10. I would recommend this hotel to all and plan to stay there again in the near future. The hotel daily charge was very reasonable and can't wait to return. when i looked for the hotels in corpus christi area, i read the reviews and i chose this hotel. yeah! it was a great choice. nice service. better breakfast.

This was a very nice, clean hotel. Hotel staff was excellent. The room was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great, even in high 90s heat outside. Great tv and good selection of channels. The only thing the room lacked was a room safe. We really enjoyed our stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly, we never saw the housekeepers but they straightened up and made beds and kept our room clean and the bathroom stocked. We originally wanted reservations at a different hotel but it had no vacancys. We were offered accomodations at this hotel instead, as the price and location were similar. Turned out for the best, as the hotel had a nice staff, the room was clean, except for some white spots on the bed spread, and the included breakfast was acceptable. Parking was a […] problem, (not enough spaces). But the BEST part was, it was rught next door to a Harley Davidson dealership!! Mehr

I have been traveling to Corpus on business and gave stayed at several hotels in the area. Comfort Suites Central is one of my favorite places to stay. If what you are needing is friendly and accommodating staff, cleanliness and well maintained location....then this is the place. We were very happy with our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, everything was CLEAN, absolutely no complaints. A great value!!!!!!

This hotel is in very good condition and has a very safe feeling as far as the location. This hotel is a bit far from the water front, especially Port A, but nice none the less. The breakfast in the AM was good and had a wide variety. I would stay here again.

Although I had prepaid my room thru Hotels.com, the desk clerk required a credit card for "incidentals". Unbeknownst to me, she proceeded to charge my card for the room. I caught the error the next day when reviewing my online account. It took 2 days and 3 phone calls to get the charge reversed. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. We stayed in a suite one night during a quick beach vacation and enjoyed our stay. The desk clerk was swamped, but I waited patiently to ask for an extra blanket, which she cheerfully gave me. The only bad thing was that we had to rearrange our room (moving a small table) to allow the sofa bed to pull-out and still pass by.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Free breakfast was very good and satisfying. 2 fast food restaurants within walking distance. The hot tub and pool were a lot of fun. Located right off the highway that lead straight to the beach. Highly recommended!

Its not as close to the beach, but the staff and hotel make up for it. The overnight guy opened the pool and hottub for my girlfriend and I, even though it was clearly afterhours. Everyone was really nice, and I'm making this my go to place to stay in corpus.

I was very satisfied with the hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well and ran quietly. The employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was better than I have found at many other hotels. The free internet computers were a nice touch as well. Pleasantly surprised. Not a 5 star but clean and comfprtable. Great service and an even better breakfast for what we expected. Would definately recommend even though a few minutes from the beach

Great access to restaurants, shopping centers, hospitals, etc. 10 minute drive to the beach. Rooms clean, friendly service, good breakfast, and nicely priced.

The hotel was great but the location is quite a drive from Mustang Island and Port Aransas.

Loved the room, the pool, the breakfast but customer service was rude! I asked for a late checkout when I checked in (11 pm) and was granted one. Manager then called to state that I missed my 11 am check out and I stated that I requested late check out, she said NO late check out and I needed to be out by 12 noon and it was 1140 when she told me, I […] had to get the boys out of the awesome pool and rush them and myself to shower, pack and get out! I stayed at the Comfort Suites Central in Corpus Christi in May 2011 for one night after my flight was cancelled. After booking my reservation thru Hotels.com, I contacted Comfort Suites for assistance with getting me and my 4 business collegues to the hotel - the front desk manager (Neal) took care of the all the details. When we arrived at the hotel, […] Neal was waiting right there for the 5 weary travelers with room keys already in hand. He handled setting up a ride back to the airport the following morning and called to check on us once we got to the room. (Bear in mind it's been a week or two since my trip and I still remember Neal's name...because he took that good of care of us.) The rooms far exceeded my expectations - very plush, nice television, comfortable bed. If I'm in Corpus Christi again, I will surely choose Comfort Suites Central...you should too! Mehr

Most hotels are a festering heap in Corpus, but I'm so thankful I stayed here this time! It'll now be my go-to hotel for all my business travel in South Texas.

Everything was very nice..friendly staff at the desk, attended to everything. The second night were there I called down to ask the staff about getting some padding for the sofa bed (the springs were horrible) and he kindly rounded up some extra mattress pads and blankets (MUCH better to sleep on) The breakfast was not the greatest, wish there was more […] of a selection/quality. Towels were soft and the room was spacious. We were traveling with 3 kids so is was nice to able to spread out a little bit. The only thing that was a minor issue, they didn't dust very well, dust was on the shelving behind the sofa bed. But other than that I was extremely pleased at how nice and friendly the front desk staff was Mehr
