Breakfast typically American: cereals, bagels, toast, juice, coffee. Good enough for me. One of the front desk women was really nice and helpful, the other one didnt greet us or wasnt really willing to help us with information regarding dining out. Nevermind, had a great stay.

"wohl das gemütlichste Hotel in Virginia Beach"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 15. Sep. 2012Das Turtle Cay bietet eher Ferienwohnungen. Man würde es in Deutschland nicht als Hotel bezeichnen, da es kein Restaurant oder eine Bar gibt. Es ist aber weit und breit in Virginia Beach wohl das gemütlichste aller Unterkünfte. Die anderen Hotels sehen aus wie aus dem Boden gestampft und reihen aneinander. Das Turtl Cay hat eine tolle Pool area und die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Man kann es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

"Great night sleep before flying off"
First, the night staff (Denise?) was an angel. Google maps had me get off way to early from the interstate. When I called for directions, Denise knew exactly where I was an gave me directions to the hotel. Got there and it was like coming home. She was like "you are my last reservation for the night." Welcome. The room was CLEAN. As a woman traveling […] alone, I felt safe. There are a number of chain eateries and fast food places down the street so I was able to grab a bite. My only complaint -- like many hotels, thin walls. I could hear the mumbles of the person next door on the phone and when he sneezed / coughed..which startled me initially. But later he was quiet and so all was well. The best thing about the place being CLEAN is that it is so CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT. Took me 10 minutes at 8 a.m. to get there and I didn't have to use freeways. There is an inviting -- while short - swimming pool too. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

The hotel was very nice, room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our overnight stay on our way home to NJ. Except for the bathroom door lock being broken and the bar in shower being a bit loose (the round part that goes over the screws holding bar to the wall), I had no complaints. Those are just minor maintenance issues, which I am sure will […] be quickly repaired. I would stay there again, since the location is very near to Norfolk Botanical Gardens where I love to visit. The hotel itself was very nice. However, you may need to send one of your employees for further training on etiquette. To further explain..... After our arrival, we needed more towels and wash cloths in our room. Our daughter went down to ask for these items. The African American lady at the front desk was very rude and told our daughter in no uncertain […] terms that, "If any of the towels or wash cloths were missing upon our departure, that we would be charged for the missing items." Excuse me, our family has stayed in hotels for the past 20 years and NEVER have we EVER taken anything from any hotel. Her comment was extremely uncalled for and extremely rude. We highly suggest you speak with her about her verbage. Upon our departure, my husband assured your employee that, "All of the towels were indeed left behind, and to please never again suggest that we would steal towels from your hotel." I'm still in disbelief that an employee would suggest such behavior about any guest's stay. It will certainly make us think twice about staying in a La Quinta again. "It is a nice place"
We liked the hotel. The location and the staff were very helpful. It is clean and comfortable. The breakfast had large varieties.. The only thing I wish that they have coffee made from ground beans and not the concentrated liquid machine. All other things were great. "Convenient over-nighter before a meeting"
Had an early meeting with the USCIS office down the road, so checked in the the night before. Exceptionally pleasant front desk staff; pool was available until 10 PM, so had a chance to soak the night before. Breakfast was a bit sub-par, but I don't expect too much from free breakfasts -- waffles, cereal, muffins, bagels were all on hand, along with […] some slightly dodgy fruit. "Good hotel that met my needs"
I didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the time I did was good. The room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the recliner in the corner for watching TV. The surrounding area had plenty of options for food and also had plenty of other stores in case you needed to get something you forgot. There are a lot of hotels in this area so I imagine […] that they're all pretty similar, but this one got the highest rankings. The pool was closed when I was there, so I didn't use it. "Decent hotel, but not my favorite"
Overall the hotel was good, but not great. The main issue that I had was that my hotel room had a mildew smell. Also, when I pulled the sheets back to go to bed, there was a bug in between the sheets. The bug didn't bother me too much, because that could have happened anywhere, even the Ritz Carlton. But I did pull the sheets back all the way to make […] sure there weren't any more in there! The staff was friendly and helpful, so that was a plus.
