Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Das Hotel hat eine Top-Lage in der Innenstadt. Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert. Der Restaurant- Bereich ist besonders schön im alten Stil hergerichtet. Am Frühstücksbuffett ist für jeden etwas zu finden und bis zum Schluss wird alles aufgefüllt. Die Zimmer sind gut. Allerdings war der W-Lan Empfang im Anbau schlecht. Ein Netzwerkkabel gehörte auch zur Ausstattung. Der Wellness- Bereich ist sauber und gut. Alles in allem ein Super- Hotel, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

"Schönes Hotel und angenehmer Aufenthalt"Bewertet von P&R T aus "Deutschland" am 9. Apr. 2012
Lage: Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, in einer etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße und ist relativ einfach zu finden. Die Stadt-Busse fahren fast direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei, so dass man diese wunderbar für die Fahrt in den Stadtkern nutzten kann. Die Tickets konnten wir direkt im Hotel kaufen. Hotel: Das Hotel macht schon von Außen einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Eindruck und auch der Empfangsbreich sowie die Aufzüge und Flure alles super sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett und man konnte alles auf Deutsch erledigen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer waren sauber, nur im Bad waren ein paar kleine Stellen, die noch genauer geputzt hätten werden können und die Dusche hätte von Außen eine neue Fuge benötigt. Aber die Dusche im innreren und die Amaturen waren sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Bett war super bequem und auch sehr schön groß! Der Ausblick aus unserem Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr warm, da wir die Klimaanlage nicht zum laufen gebracht haben, aber wir haben das Fenster zum Balkon geöffnet und das war dann sehr angenehm. Schwimmbad/Restaurant: Haben wir beides nicht benutzt und können dazu nichts sagen. Frühstück: Die Auswahl war umfangreich, viele frische Früchte und Müsli, verschiedene Brote, Wurst und Käse. Auch warme Speisen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Tiefgarage: Wir haben den Tiefgaragenplatz genutzt, weil unser Auto ziemlich neu ist. Leider ist die Abfahrt in das zweite UG ziemglich eng und steil, so dass man vorsichtig fahren bzw. sein Auto gut kennen sollte. Aber ansonsten ist die Garage sehr parktisch und sauber. Abschließend kann man sagen, ein sehr schönes Hotel, in dem wir immer wieder übernachten würden, da es uns vor allem auf die Qualität der Betten sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ankommt und diese unseren doch sehr hohen Anforderungen gerecht wurden. Ausstattung
Ein W-LAN Internetzugang steht gegen eine Gebühr in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Geschäftsreisenden wird in diesem 3-Sterne-Haus Folgendes angeboten: Tagungsräume für kleine Gruppen, Konferenzraum und Limousinenservice. Jeden Morgen wird Ihnen ein kostenloses Frühstück serviert. Das Hotelpersonal hilft Ihnen gerne bei allen Fragen weiter. Zum Service-Angebot gehört Folgendes: Unterstützung bei der Tourenplanung/beim Ticketerwerb und Unterstützung bei der Tourenplanung. "Sehr nettes Personal, ausgezeichnete Lage"
Als Single-Frau war ich extrem froh, in dieser Gegend zu wohnen, da sie sauber ist und jenste Restaurants bietet. Zudem ist man in kürzester Zeit am Deak Ferenc Ter, von wo aus man überall in kürzester Zeit ist. Empfehlenswert sind die Konzerte, die in der Kathedrale angeboten werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist tatsächlich im Keller und entspricht dem […] Standard dieser Art Hotel. Nicht schlecht, aber auchnicht fabelhaft. Aber eben -- man kann ja dann in den wunderbaren KOnditoreien naschen, wenn man wirklich noch Lust auf etwas Spezielles hat. Mehr
"Excellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!"
das Hotel liegt zentral, direkt gegenüber der Stephansbasilika. Zur U-Bahn sind's 5, zur Donau 10 Minuten! Man darf sich keine grosse Lobby etc. erwarten, aber ein sauberes Hotel, und das Ganze zu einem äusserst fairen Preis.

"Zentrales Hotel- gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis"
Das Central Basilica liegt äußerst zentral . Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuss erreichbar (St.Stephans-Basilika vor der Haustür, Kettenbrücke, Burgberg, Parlament wenige Minuten). Metro und Straßenbahn ebenfalls nur wenige Minuten. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Äußerst freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal an der Lobby. Ausgiebiges Frühstücksbuffet. The location was perfect, right in the city centre. The hotel itself was modern, clean and comfortable. The room had plenty of space and it was clean. The breakfast did not fulfill my expectations as there were not too many options to choose from. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. "Nice hotel"
This was a very well situated hotel in the middle of Budpest. A nice room but the beds were not good at all - too small and to hard and only one pillow. The breakfast was ok but not more. Very nice staff at the hotel.

The Central Basilica hotel in Budepest is in a fantastic location, but the hotel itself was pretty mediocre, and on that basis I wouldn't recommend it. The lighting was horrible, which was frustrating. The breakfast buffet wasn't very good, and the furniture arrangement in the room was really strange (the door pretty much opened into the bed). "A gem close to all must see sights"
The hotel is immaculately clean with very comfortable beds and friendly helpful staff. The temperatures were below freezing but the hotel was warm at all times. Breakfast was more than adequate with cereals, juices,fruit, yoghurts, hot and cold food, a variety of breads and teas/coffee. I will definitely return. excellent value in a great location. "Central Basilica Hotel and Budapest Xmas markets."
We stayed at the Central Basilica for 5 nights at the beginning of December. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to all major attractions. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definately stay here again.

The central basillica is in a fantastic location. My partner and I arrived into the main train station in pest and walked to the hotel which was directly opposite St Stephens basillica. The hotel is perfectly location to enable you to explore all Budapest has to offer. The neighbourhood has clearly recently been updated and it felt very safe. "Central Basilica Hotel in Budapest nice lokation."
Very central. Close to the river, many good restaurants and the metro lines in all directions. My wife and I visited Budapest in oktober, and stayed four nights on Central Basilica. with our 14 year old granddaughter. We had two big quiet rooms and the breakfast was ok without queues. I would like to stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone, […] who like to wake up in the morning and listen to the bells of St Stefans and feel like being in the middle of an exciting city. "Hotel basilica great, yet noisy location."
Good value hotel, next to all the sights. However you'll be woken up early and then on the hour by the basilica bells next door. We had to keep our window open at night as the hotel room was so hot (this was in October) so there's no way you can avoid the noise. Room and breakfast were good though and friendly, helpful receptionist. Shame that the shower […] wasn't attached to the wall and that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. "Room Size"
Although our room was clean and comfortable, we found the standard room too small for a week-long stay. We asked for a larger room or upgrade but no superior rooms or apartments were available until the last two nights of our stay. We were told when an upgrade was available we would need to pay 50% more for the superior room or 100% more for an apartment. […] The room had no chairs (just a stool at the desk) so the only place to sit was on the bed or floor. I would strongly recommend that anyone choosing this hotel for a long stay pay a bit more for a larger room to ensure a more comfortable experience. Mehr

A very pleasent hotel in a superb location
air-conditioning doesn't work well...It's so hot that I wake up during midnight for 2 nights. It makes no difference if I adjust the temperature to lower temperature.

The free internet does not work. When I checked in I was informed that the free WiFi does not work well so it would be best if I paid 10 euros. After trying the free WiFi I decide to pay the money. Well the paid service does not work at least 50 percent of the time. It is bad enough to miss advertise free internet, but when the paid service does not […] work that is like .... The air-conditioner is locked at 30 degrees (86 degres F) and that is just too hot! .. breakfast was good, and the location was great. Mehr
"Central Basilica Hotel: Excellent Value"
Good, varied breakfast. Good location. Very good value. Nice rooms--modern and clean. One small thing: I may be mistaken, but I think WiFi was advertised as free, whereas I found that there was a charge to use it. Also, WiFi doesn't reliably reach many of the rooms. .

also air-conditioned (unlike 2 other hotels I was at), good free breakfast, very helpful front desk who speak good English, good bathroom including a shower with a curtain, good elevator. Only negative was funny smell in our room. Note that the parking is somewhat costly (you use the underground parking for the Basilica)

"Best Location"
In the middle of it all - can reach all top tourist attractions by foot. Confortable, clean, convinient bathrooms, the rooms are on the small side, great breakfast, helpfull, relevant and good front desk. Will be happy to stay there again.

"Nice Hotel"
Nice hotel in an ideal location. Staff spoke english and was always helpful. A few drawbacks 1) Could be noisy on weekend nights as there is a popular bar nearby. 2) Under-staffed for breakfast buffet. 3) Lacking on bathroom amenities. But, overall a positive experience and a great price.

Some of the staff was not too friendly, and the hallway is very dark, you have to walk half the length of the hall way before lights automatically come on. Also, we were there two nights and each night someone tried to get into out room, which scared us (two women traveling alone).

"Almost perfect."
Could become a four-star. Location was excellent. Superior rooms give great views of the Basilica, which are breath-taking at night. Our room was large, clean, although minimally decorated. Quiet with no street noises at night. Front desk staff excellent. Items for improvement: 1. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection but the coffee was terrible and […] the egg casserole was cold and hard. Suggest installation of a coffee maker for espresso, latte, etc. Eggs should be made in smaller batches and placed above a heating element. Both are minor fixes. 2. Internet access (computer and printer) should be provided in the lobby for guests. 3. Tissues should be provided in bathrooms. Do these things and you might get a four-star rating. Mehr

Great central location in a very nice safe area. Its simple but in all honesty you want functionality in a place like Budapest - no good sitting in a hotel all day admiring the luxury and facilities (in our opionion anyway). Breakfast was ok'ish and a tleast sets you up until later in the day. Try the jazz (wine) bar next door one night - its still […] working to get on its feet but it has all the potential to be a great venue. Central Basilica was located in the heart of Central Pest. Excellent location and close to all the major sites. The free breakfast was great! Bread, challah, crossoints, meat plate, cheese plate, eggs, sausage, coffee, water. The staff was extremely helpful throughout our trip giving recommendations and answering our questions. "Central Basilica Hotel - very central!"
The hotel is in a central location and is surrouneded by plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Also very close to metro and less than 10 min walk to river Danube. There is no restaurant in hotel for day or evening but plenty nearby. Breakfast was good but need to ask for hot water for tea! A very good 3 star hotel!

The hotel is just near everything , once exiting the hotel you can walk on a street full of coffes and resturants , great nightlife ... although it get scary to walk late over there because of homless / drunk local people hanging around in each corner. we have enjoyed staying on this hotel.

"Fabulous location, price, and breakfast"
I stayed here after leaving the hostel that was too noisy and got to the hotel 20 minutes after I booked. They kept my bag for the day until I was ready to come in for a day of exploration. It was very close to the tourist section of town but very quiet and close to a market. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I come back to Budapest. Oh, and […] there was AC! Mehr

"Hotel Basilica - Great Location/Wonderful Staff"
The location was PERFECT....overlooking the Basilica and a 5 minute walk from the Danube. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and friendly letting us leave our baggage after check out, calling us a taxi, recommending restaurants and calling in our reservations and even booking tickets for us on a river cruise.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. We found the location was excellent being very central. The hotel was both clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. The staff were efficiant and helpful. Iwould certainly stay there again. Excellent value for money.
