I needed to stay in Flint for several days due to work at the University of Michigan Flint. The Super 8 provided exactly what I needed---a clean, comfortable, reasonably-priced room.

I was impressed with the room it was clean and neat. My only complaint was no fridge or microwave. If your not going to have breakfast for guests they need these things in room. Over all nice stay thanks.

It was very loud all night. there was a dog in someone's room barking all night. the room was clean though and beds were comfortable.

All we needed was a clean room and a bed to sleep in. It was just fine. No complaints.

The big problem with most Super 8 motels is that they have the worst pillows ever. They are flat, thin and uncomfortable. I stay at a hotel in order to get some sleep, but with lousy pillows I find sleep difficult.

Folks in the front desk was very nice. Great attitude. Breakfast menu and quantity needs improvement. Not enough sitting space for breakfast either. Thanks

I ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE HOTEL IT WAS CLEAN AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FOR ME IN THIS TIME WHEN EVERYONE IS ON SOME KIND OF BUDGET. I WOULD STAY AGAIN AND LOOK FORWARD TO STAYING THERE AGAIN. MANAGEMENT WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY COOPERATIVE WITH ME IF I NEEDED ANY ASSISTANCE IT WAS PROVIDED.

This is the first hotel I went to that has an inch of Plexiglas separating me from the person behind the desk. I must say, when they couldn't find my reservation via hotels.com, I was seriously considering just going somewhere else. After 10 minutes of the lady behind the glass (also a bit scary looking) calling, she managed to track down my reservation. […] If they need an inch of Plexiglas to keep themselves safe, I want to be somewhere else. I ended up staying in a dingy room with squashed bugs on unclean walls and holes in the drywall in the bathroom and the lowest wattage bulbs I have ever encountered in a hotel. The low price does not at all offset the sense of dread at being in that room. We were up and gone as early as possible; using the theory that those who might rob would be sleeping at 6am. We got out safely. I would rather drive another 100 miles than stay there again. Mehr

Pros: Close to a Target for travel shopping, and next door to a local restaurant with cheap beer and wings. Cons: Soggy, sticky carpet (other than that room was as expected). Bulletproof glass at reception area (infer what you will about that).

For price of stay bed was surprisingly comfortable. Floor looked as if hadn't been swept for weeks. Bathroom needed trim etc fixed. Staff very friendly. If you like inexpensive hotel and can look past dirty floor and minor updates them this is a good comfortable place to stay for the night.

This hotel's lobby has bullet proof glass between you and the employees. they had a single mattress pad on a double bed. The toilet was running when we arrived and I had to fix it or listen to it all night.

So we checked into our room and asked for extra pillows and towels and was told we couldnt have any. I mentioned we had the jacuzzi room and there was only 2 towels in there and we were told we could bring our used towels in and exchange them when needed. Went to use the jacuzzi and it was leaking, blowing cold water through the jets and then stuff […] came out of the jets at us.(we were told by maintenance that it was rust the next day) I went down within the first hour of checking in to let the hotel know and was told they would try and get it fixed, never heard anything back from them. I also gave them the soakint wet towels from the jacuzzi leaking and asked for additional towels since it was leaking and was told no. When we went to check out is when they had the maintenance man come take a look and he verified everything that was wrong to be our witness for management. I was told the manager would contact me on Tuesday because it was a holiday weekend that we stayed so I waited for the manager to call. On Tuesday afternoon I called to see what was going to happen and the manager told me he would get back to me so I asked when and was told later that day or the next day, NEVER heard back from him. I tried calling on Friday, he wasnt there, so I called Super 8 customer service and filed a complaint and was waiting to hear back from them. I went to the mailbox this morning and there was a letter from Super 8 telling me that I can get a free jacuzzi upgrade the NEXT time I stay with a bunch of black out dates when it cannot be used. This is UNACCECTABLE! I paid for a jacuzzi room, which did not work and I am expected to pay for an additional room when they tell me I can use it in order to be able to use the jacuzzi I have already paid for once?!?! How does that seem fair? What a HUGE disappointment with getting away from 5 kids, two being 10 week old twins on our first get away, Wont spend my money with Super 8 again if this is their customer service Mehr

Rooms were good value, beds were comfy but bottom line is that hotel is an economy hotel. The Firkin next door has great food and night life was also good.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and there were no problems. I will stay there again in the future.

We were very satisfied with the rooms for the price. The staff at work at check in were very helpful and very pleasant to deal with.

In warmer weather, it's an easy walk to The Machine Shop. But the bulletproof glass in lobby makes me think that wouldn't be a smart idea.

This hotel was conviently located right off I69 in Flint. Although the road it is on, Center Street, is very busy, we could not hear the traffic once in the room. The beds were a little hard, but overall, an excellent hotel.

The rool was neat, clean, and very comfortable. It did not, however, have any soap at all; so it was a good thing we brought our own. That sort of surprised me. There was a coffee pot, but no cups to drink from - just the plastic ones in the area where you washed - not good for hot beverages. When we arrived at the hotel we had been driving for 3 […] hours. We needed to go to the bathroom desparately. We were told there was no restroom in the 'lobby' that we could use. If we wanted to go across the parking lot(that had flooded, and I mean flooded, due to rain) we could use the restroom at the restaurant next door. Very, very inconvenient, as it was still raining. Was told by the desk clerk that when she has to go to the restroom she, too, must walk next door. Hard to believe. I admit that I was rather sharp with her because of the inconvenience of having to go so badly. But, considering the problem she should have been more understanding and polite...no excuses. Other than that I would recommend this hotel based on the room NOT on the service. Mehr

I found that the Super 8 was better than I expected. It was clean and close to many types of eatery. I would definately recommend this to family or friends.
