Loved the beds...pillowtop mattress made for a soft and comfortable sleep! Indoor pool and jacuzzi were warm/hot and breakfast was adequate (juices, coffee, cocoa, tea, cereal, biscuits/gravy, hard boiled eggs, bread, bagels, muffins). To be perfectly honest, that was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in my life. Usually I can't wait to get home and in my own bed, but after my stay, my bed didn't feel as good as it used too. I didn't talk with the front desk to see if it was a new bed or what it was, but it was VERY comfortable, and my pregnant wife finally got […] a great nights rest. The only thing I guess I could complain about was it was a little noisy. Not really the hotels fault, there was a young kids soccer tournament going on and we had the room right next to the stairs, but I fell asleep so hard in my comfy bed that it wasn't a problem at all. I was very pleased with the hotel and its staff. the Lady on duty when I checked in was very pleasent and made me feel welcome. There was some heat issues with the hottub, but I will stasy there again.

very accomodating. we arrived early and they let us unload our luggage and readied our room for us. Nothing fancy, but very clean and quiet. with an early morning continental that was ready at 5:30 am as we got ready to leave. Will stay there the next time we are in Spearfish

a comfortable stay for the weekend

I had hoped due to their rate that our stay would be comfortable as my daughter goes to college in Spearfish and I am looking for a place to stay on a bi-monthly basis. Ugh. This was not the place! When we walked in the lady at the front desk was vacumming - kept going while I just stood with my four year old and waited. When she did get around to waiting […] on us, she was nice, but it was late and we just wanted to get to our room. I hoped my son would sleep in the next am and put the "do not disturb" sign on my door. At 9:30 am someone knocked on my door. I didn't answer as I had just gotten out of the shower and wasn't even sure if they were knocking on my door or not. Well, someone with a key walked right into my room. WHAT THE HECK? I didn't know what to say I was shocked. What is the "do not disturb" sign for if people are going to walk right into my room! I said loudly to them, "I think I have my DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door, don't I?" Who ever it was, and I am pretty sure it was a man, turned around and walked out. I went down the stairs shortly thereafter to get continental breakfast for my son and myself and there sat the cleaning staff - all eathing. 4 of them were taking the chairs up at the small tables and they all just stared at me. I felt unwelcome and it was awkward. There were two very young ladies running the front desk. They were all gossiping amongst themselves. It was a very unprofessional atmosphere. Finally, at check out time we went downstairs and the girls running the front desk were both standing outside talking to a friend. Hmmmm... I know Spearfish is a small town, but really, there needs to be some professionalism. As far as the room and the bed, the King suite we stayed in had a big comfy bed. Other than that, I would not be able to recommend this location. The lobby and front desk area were not tidy and looked unprofessional. The price was competitive. Service good. Breakfast not worth mentioning. WiFi was poor in parts of the hotel. Easy to find hotel.

This was a pleasant surprise--a mid/lower level motel which was reasonable, very clean, well maintained and had a good breakfast. The desk person was also helpful and pleasant. It exceeded my expectations and I'd readily stay there again.

Ok for the money & for one nite stay

The motel was okay, but the place needs some maintenance and upgrading.

Even though the hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel room was clean, the room itself was very small and cramped. We asked for a rollaway bed and the staff quickly brought it to us. The only problem was there wasn't room for the bed in the room. We had to move the beds apart and stack the other furniture to get rollaway bed to fit in the room. Room was very large and nice. It was very well located with several restaurants close by. Very good value for the prie.

If you are freaked out by worn curtains and scratched sinks this is not the hotel for you. But if you need a basic, clean place to stay in an excellent location it will fit the bill.

was a very nice hotel and the price was great, although the receipt from hotel did not match charge on my credit card

The employees were very helpfull. The continental breakfast had the best variety of the trip. Ane there was an excellant Itialian restaurant next door.

Excellent hotel with the most comfortable beds....very welcome feature after 7 days of travel. We were pleased with all services.

our stay at this hotel was awsome. we had no problems at all. everyone on staff were very helpful. beds were confortable as this make the stay better all the time.

The only negative about this hotel was with the AM staff. The person staffing the desk was also responsible for the breakfast area. She had a terrible cold - coughing continually. She also worked on restocking the breakfast items without wearing any shoes - very unprofessional and very unsanitary from my perspective. The best hotel for the price in the area by far! Not much to look at from the outside, and the breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but the bed was so comfy :o)

We stayed for two nights on our way to Yellowstone NP. The hotel is located close to all the places we wanted to visit while in that area. There are also good places to eat dinner while we were in Spearfish. There is a very nice well kept pool and workout room. They also have a nice laundry area. We were on a three week trip, so I was able to do some […] laundry and I didn't have to go off site to locate a laundromat. The hotel is comfortable and affordable. We would recommend this hotel. Great location, clean rooms, quick checkin. Close to Deadwood, Sturgis, Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore, and Custer State Park.

Beds were exceptionally comfortable.. rooms were clean

First of all, we made reservations for friends at the same time and the rooms were miles apart-I would have thought that the reservations coming in together would have kept the rooms that way. Hotter than H in the hotel

Poor Hotel, claimed the whirlpool went out "last night" but the sign taped over the on/off switched appeared to have been present for some time.

Hotel was nothing fancy, but service was fine and room was clean. Simple breakfast.

They gave our room to some one else and moved us when we checked in. Someone had been checked in to our new room as they left some things in the room, we didn't care for that. They never did get the names right on the rooms and when we checked out they said we weren't there. room was OK for the price.

We got a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were lumpy with a big dip in the middle. I mentioned the beds to the staff and they said the beds were brand new and didn't know what was wrong with them. The clerk really didn't want to talk about it. The motel was run down and smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was clean and that's what counts to me.
