BEST WESTERN ANNAWAN INN - Annawan

Everything was good except the breakfast. The breakfast was a joke. I'm talking about melt down frozen pancake, old hard boilded eggs, disgusting coffee, and super sweet apple juice. Other than that, everything was very good.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. My only complaint was that the sheets could have been newer and better looking. That was the only issue I had.

Staff was friendly, even though one was new & couldn't make any restaurant suggestions for the surrounding area. Room appeared 'clean', but corners in the bathroom were missed. All in all, I would stay here again if I need something in that area, even though the immediate area is fairly desolate.

This hotel is located in my home town and I along with 4 other friends reserved rooms there for a party I was hosting. The overnight desk manager was awful. He insulted me and treated me in the most rude manner possible. The next day he was still at the front desk when I was complaining to the woman working the check outs. She was also rude and unaccommodating. […] I told her that other guests had approached me about his rudeness and she said I was the only one to complain. I guess everyone in the hotel has to complain for it to be valid. The overnight worker also tore down and removed the continental breakfast while guests were still in the room trying to enjoy their breakfast and it wasn't even 10:00 am yet, the posted time the breakfast is supposed to run until. I've stayed in this hotel more than 6 times and recommended it to friends who have stayed there countless times. After this weekend I don't see myself ever returning. It's sad because I like to support the local businesses there but these people have no clue about customer service. When I told the woman at the front desk that people in small towns and all guests expect to be treated in a friendly and courteous manner she said, " I have lived here for 4 years." Unfortunately her four years haven't impressed upon her the hospitality that would be expected anywhere. I've talked to numerous other people who have done business with this woman and been told how "unaccommodating" she treats customers. Very sad and disappointing. Mehr

The room was clean and comfortable--everything worked fine. Hotel sign is visible from I-80 and makes it easy to find the place even after dark. The breakfast selection was not huge, but adequate. I plan to stay here again.

This hotel is GREAT! Its worth well more than you pay! Everything in the hotel is new, it is very, very clean and the staff is wonderful! I plan on staying here again on my next trip to Chicago!
