Wie die anderen Kommentaren gesagt: das ist ein ganz kleines Hotel, oder Hostel. Aber steht ganz nahe zu HBF. Das einzige Problem ist das Frühstück ist war nicht wie andere Leute gesagt "so reichlich". Es gabt nur Brötchen, Müsli. Kaffe und Saft gabt, aber ohne Käse. Es stand einen schrumpfigen Apfel auf den Tisch!

The Hotel is set up as a Hostel: Small rooms (do not bring too many bags) with sinks. Common bathroom in the hallway to share with 4 rooms. Careful, the hotel has no elevator. The Hotel is very conveniently situated: very close to the main train station, cathedral, Rhine, and Old Town. Good breakfast included in the price!

It doesnt even look like hotel, bad room, no escalator but location is great at it is close to the station.

Very well located, just by the main station in Cologne. Very reasonable price and a decent room for the price - clean, tidy, functional. Free Wifi and the breakfast was very good.

Very Bad hotel to have on your list, highly rude arrogant behavior. Never suggest some one to even stay free in this hotel

THE HOTEL IS NOT CLEAN AND THE PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL IS NOT FRENDILY.

No one answered the door at 3am. So i went next door and stayed at that hotel.

My second stay stay so I knew what to expect. conveniently situated within walking distance of Cologne Railway Station No frills, reasonable value for money

I travel a lot in Germany and I learned to expect good customer service. I this hotel though, the staff were rude, breakfast so-so, bed uncomfortable and the hotel itself very dated. The "free" Internet barely worked, it took good half hour to connect and afterwards it would disconnect every 15-30 minutes.

The position of hotel to KOLN station O.K. The beds were O.K. The bath room was much too small, unable to use the sink because of small size and design.

I will always remember hotel Berg for the concierge with terrible attitute. He made us feel very unwelcome, he really shouldn't be in this business. He had this snobish attitude, like he is better than everybody else. The other guy, who worked at night was fine. Besides that, I don't like to have shared bathrooms, but we were booking at the last minute, […] so didn't have much choice. Mehr

The night watchman and the hotel manager were rude, non-accomodating, and arrogant. No elevator, four flights of stairs to top floor, where we staid. Only positive is proximity to train station and cathedral.

As a student used to living in dorms I thought this hotel was adequate. I am studying in Germany and decided to take a trip to Cologne and spend the night. Hotel Berg was close to the train station (5 mins.) making it easy to get onto the train the next day. It was previously mention that the Wi-Fi was 13 Euros but they changed it and it is now free. […] You just need to ask at the front desk for the password. The room overall was good for a nights stay. The bed was a bit hard, but fine to sleep the night. Breakfast was provided in the morning - rolls, cereal, fruit, tea, etc. If you are just passing through or spending the day in Cologne, this is a good place to spend the night. hotel was cheap, but you get what you pay for. convenient location, but quality of hotel and amenities is a little lacking. for example, the towels were paper thin (mine ripped when i wrapped it around my waist); the beds are very soft and you sink in to a hole when you lie on them; shared bathroom is extremely small and toilet was loose on its foundations; […] breakfast was very basic and guests were told where to sit (guests had to share tables); rooms smelt of smoke (tobacco) as it is allowed in the rooms Mehr

After arriving to the hotel I found out that the internet service that the hotel claims is available was actually for a fee of 13 euro per day. (Which is not included in the daily charge for the room.) There was a shared computer that cost 2.50 euro per half hour and it takes you about that long to check one email because the computer was outdated. […] The beds were very uncomfortable and there was one bathroom to be shared by all 5 rooms on each floor. The hotel is older, but clean. The rooms are extremely small, including super tiny bathroom and shower. But it'll work if you just need a clean bed or beds and a great location in downtown Cologne (5 min. walk to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). The hotel is situated on a loud street at night, which could be a problem if you must leave the windows […] open (rooms facing away from street won't have this problem). Simple but good breakfast included in the room price. Internet is wireless, and costs 13 Euros per day (quite expensive, especially as a % of the room price). Mehr

The hotel is fine for the price. But for the price you pay you get a bed like a plank. Nice people, but a very cheap hotel.

駅から見て聖堂と反対側に位置していますが，一体がホテル街のため特に不安は感じませんでした． リフトが無いため3Fまで荷物を引き上げるのには苦労しますが，それ以外は特に難点もありません． 洗面所は各個室にあり，トイレとシャワーブースが階ごとに共有のタイプでした． 朝食は小さいホテルの割に比較的選択肢があったので満足しています．

No esta mal si lo que se busca es unicamente dormir y pasar el resto del dia fuera del hotel. El desayuno buffet es muy decente, esta limpio y se está bastante calentito, pero si tienes mal dormir quiza pueda empeorar el asunto porque las almohadas son criminales. Baño extremadamente pequeño. En cuanto el precio, dependiendo de la epoca es bastante […] caro (que es lo que nos ha pasado a nosotros que fuimos durante una feria) pero imagino que viendolo con tiempo se pueden encontrar buenos precios. Hotel sencillo, baño compartido. Excelente ubicación: a solo 100 m de la estación central de trenes de Köln. Buen desayuno (buffet).

Not a hotel I would recommend. Way to expensive for what you get. The receptionist was not nice at all. Not serviceminded a bit. Made you just feel that you were there on his conditions and that you were someone disturbing him. Not one smile in three days. When the free Internet didn't work he just said it works perfectly and when I wanted some help […] he just said no and that it was just my computer that was wrong. No try to help or anything. el trato personal es correcto, pero no cariñoso. las habitaciones son muy sencillas. el desayuno es bastante bien . la ubicacion es muy buena

Great value for money. Super location only few meters from Cologne Central Station and thus easy access to Cologne Exhibition Centre.

Toaletten i gången och mycket väl inrökt rum allt luktade rök när jag lämnade hotellet. Definitivt sista gången

Hotell Berg är mer ett pensionat med personlig service i samma anda som i en engelsk tvserie. Ingen hiss men många trappor, ingen kyla eller ventilation samt ett möblemang som skulle få svensk fångvård att kännas lyxigt. en stenhård skumgummimadrass som säkert var bra för både moral och rygg men en liten bäddmadrass hade nog gjort sängen något bekvämare, […] frotehandukarna var som lutfiskar, frukosten som ingick var ok även om ett kokt ägg som tidigare fanns påå specialmenyn numera utgått.
