hatten das Hotel als Wildwood-Inn gebucht und es hat eine weile gedauert bis wir es als red roof inn gefunden hatten, ansonsten :Zimmer gut ,Pool OK und über das Frühstück schweigen wir .

The hotel was really good on most counts. The biggest problem I saw was the limited parking. For all of the rooms that they have they definitely need more parking spaces. We were a little disappointed however because with the name of Red Roof Inn at the Aquarium we were hoping to be close to the aquarium. We were very pleased with this motel, especially since it was pet friendly and there was no charge for this service. The continental breakfast was nice, but it would be nicer if there were additional items to choose from other than cereal, waffles, bagels, and toast. Rolls and fruit would be a nice addition. It was difficult to choose a hotel in Gatlinburg because I had never been there. I chose Red Roof because it described itself (somewhat misleadingly) as Red Roof/Acquarium, and because it is pet-friendly. We stayed here 1 night had planned on adding to our stay once there but after our 1st morning breakfast our minds were quickly changed. The doors to the breakfast room were locked at 10 & the lady basically was yelling & fussing at us to get out at 10:15. I had gone back up to our room to get my son's sipper cup came down & was locked out the kids let […] me in & she yelled at them for opening the door. the room itself is big the carpet needed a good cleaning & the beds were hard the furnishings were dated but I can deal with that, the rudeness of this staff member pretty much sealed the deal on me not wanting to stay any longer, it was so uncalled for & ridiculous I switched hotels that morning & am glad we did found an indoor pool & Nice staff for the same price. The outside of the Hotel looks just fine and is in a great location. Yes you have to drive to downtown Gatlinburg, but it is far enough away to miss all of the noise and congestions, but still close enough. It is an extremely quite location. Just looking at the bed and you see the 2 – 3 inch sag in the center. There is NO support at all from the mattresses unless you sleep on the side three inches of the mattress and the pillows are so used and wore out, they too provide zero support. Even when stacking two on top of one another. If the hotel would replace the mattress’s and pillows, I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5 or 9 out of 10. As it is, I give an overall rate of 2 out of 5 or 4 out of 10. The beds and pillows are really that bad. Mehr

Needs updated bad but other than that close to everything and off the main road.

Chose this hotel because it is pet friendly. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Room was comfortable, centrally located, price was good, and room was clean. Would recommend this hotel to others.

This Red Roof Inn was a little further down from the aquarium and strip than I expected. The rooms were very, very roomy and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a safe in room and no charge for pet fee.

We had a King suite which was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. the balcony was a plus because my husband smokes cigars but has to do outside because I can't tolerate so that was his favorite place to be. Very nice customer service and worth every penny!

Our stay at the hotel was lacking in basic service. The breakfast did not start until 8 am which was far past our scheduled departure time. I had to purchase my own breakfast for my staff on the first morning. Some rooms were not clean. The decor was outdated. No one took the soap or shampoo home after use. The first night they put us in Room701. It had not been renovated yet. One bed was very lumpy!. We could not sleep on it. The other bed was a little better, but both sides slanted to the middle. Besides it was a very depressing room. It was to have a fireplace and there was none. THere was to be a mountain view. The view from any window was the parking […] lot! This is all rooms. Before you write anything up please check the details the hotell is giving you. I complained the next morning and said I wanted a room change. THEy did find a room for us to change to. We had to repack and move ourselves, no one to help you do anything. THE second room was much better. It had comfortable beds and a fireplace. THE fireplace was not usable yet but at least it looked better. We could walk from the hotel to town in about 5 min.so it was close to everything. We had a late arrival, and the night staff was super friendly. Walked into a clean looking and fresh smelling room. Great size room for one of the best prices I could find online. Breakfast included - which was delicious! I'll be staying there again - no doubt!

The motel is a 10-minute walk to the Aquarium, and it's a bit hard to find (on the way into Gatlinburg, almost across the street from Hillbilly Golf). Otherwise, it's a good place to stay and renovated pretty recently. Your basic continental breakfast. Very good wi-fi, nice pool, and good service at the desk.

I can't say enough about the service at this hotel. It's an older hotel but what it lacks in areas is made up by the service. We were planning a float trip and we needed to be there by 2:15, normally, check in time is at 3:00. We called and explained the situation and they were very accomodating and allowed up to check in at noon! That was awesome! […] Then, my 4 yr old son lost 2 of his favorite toys somewhere between the car and hotel room. The staff was very considerate as they asked other staff and some visitors if they had seen the toys. They even took our info in case they showed up. very clean , spacious, and nice hotel. was very impressed with friendly service, will highly recommend to our family and friends, we used swimming pool and one of the parent was smoking while kids were swimming my both kids have asthma so we left the pool management can improve on that .

The location of hotel is nice, near to gatlinburg downtown. but we had a very bad experience with the room. We got a room with lot of bedbugs. We didn't realize until middle of night. Mid night 1 o clock we had to move to a different room. I would not recommend this hotel. Please check the rooms before taking.

Hotel itself was unsatisfactory. The registration office was dirty and the smell of cigarettes/tobacco was strong. The bed sheets were'thread bear', the bathroom didn't seem clean. Disaster....checked in morning....said elevator was not working(monday) till later that day...it still was not properly functioning upon departing friday.....supposedly it was working on wednesday...came back to room...and got stuck in for 20 minutes...finally forced door open...room was not ready on second floor on monday...so walked updown seven flights […] trying to find a readied room...bathroom had torn wall paper...and the lights of above the vanity were of three different types...one burned out....a disaster from start to finish Mehr

We were very well satisfied with the our stay. The only problem we had was it is listed at the Aquarium but it is well before you get to the aquarium . We searched for it about 30 minutes before I finally called to find directions, which we were a mile or farther from the aquarium. I do not mean to downplay the motel or the service. The beds, carpet and wallpaper has to be 30 years old. We had a non-smoking room that smelled horrible like smoke. The beds were like sleeping on a board. The walls were so thin we could hear actual conversations in the next room over the air conditioner. This Red Roof Inn was very nicely furnished with a long list of amenities. It was an impressive six-story conveniently located against a scenic mountainside near the heart of Gatlinburg. The bathroom had wallpaper peeling off of the walls and the room had an odor that was not pleasant. We had to open the balcony door to get fresh air in the room. The whole hotel loooked run down and need of some T.L.C.

This is an older hotel and the condition accordingly. The rooms are spacious, but the mattresses need to be replaced and the shower didn't work correctly--you couldn't adjust the temperature of the water. The location would be ok for younger people or for people who are physically fit. There was a trolley station close to the hotel, but you had to ride […] one trolley to the main depot, then change to another one to ride to the center of the town. There was a fridge, a microwave and a coffeemaker in the room, but there was only one bag of coffee provided--no decaf--no cream and no sugar. The price was good. Mehr

This hotel is lost somewhere in the 70's and has not been kept up to date. The only positive comment I have is that the carpeting in the room looked new, but everything else was old and poorly maintained. We were just looking for a place to spend the night along our travel route. I didn't think I could get a good rate in Gattlinburg but the tourist season was ending. Only a handful of people were spending the night. We got a very nice room with a kitchenette and fireplace at a good price. The Continental breakfast was descent. The only problem we had […] was, employees opened our door twice before checkout time, I think, trying to get to our refrigerator. I suffer wih RA and the mattress was not comfortable. Over all a good hotel and the price was just right. I would stay there again. and I would recommend it to someone else.

The hotel was a former Wildwood Inn and the king size room was a very outdated India. The tapestries on the wall were sagging as well as the jute rope that was used as a border. The headboard looked homemade with chipped paint and it glowed blue in the dark. The double queen room had a shower curtain with mold and mildew. There were trash cans under […] the sink in the bathroom and the kitchenette that had not been emptied from a former guest. The rooms did not smell fresh and we did not dare set anything on the floor. The middle eastern people running the hotel had the first floor rooms that we had to pass on the way to the elevator. There were several children who were in plane site a good deal of the time although not unruly. We felt that their standards were not up to par with what we have come to expect in the United States. My wife and I went there to celebrate our 4th Wedding Anniversary. Pros: The Stay was pleasent and the room was very clean. LET'S JUST SAY AT FIRST SITE I WAS NOT OVERJOYED TO WALK IN AT THE 70'S DECORE AND MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS I WANTED TO TURN BACK AROUND AND HAND THE KEY BACK IN. BUT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE MISTAKE BECAUSE LET ME TELL YOU AT SECOND LOOK AROUND THIS ROOM WAS AWESOME. THE SIZE OF THE ROOM IS HUGE MY KIDS LOVED IT, THEY COULD ACCTUALLY RUN FROM ONE SIDE […] TO THE OTHER THEY WERE FREE. LOL! SECONDLY, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT WAS IT WAS ONE OF THE CLEANEST HOTEL ROOMS I HAVE STAYED IN, IN A LONG WHILE. I WALK IN THE BATH ROOM AND THE TUB HAS MARBLE SUROUND AND NEW CALKING SHINEY OLD FAUCETS YES "SHINEY". EVERY DETAIL THAT I LOOKED AT WAS CLEAN EVEN THE TILE HAD BEEN SCRUBED IN THE CRACKS AND LET ME TELL YOU WE ALL CAN TELL. THIS PLACE TOOK HOTEL CLEAN TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. AS I SLIDE INTO THE COVERS THAT NIGHT I FELT CONFIDENT THAT I WAS SLEEPING WHERE NO ONE HAD SLEEP BEFORE! LOL IN THE MORNING THE BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME AS WELL BISCUTS AND GRAVY, WAFFLES, MUFFINS AND MANY OTHER THINGS TO EAT. This red roof inn was nice. We just needed a place to stay overnight. Check-in was fast, the room we had was spacious and clean. There was a bee trapped in the room, but the front desk took care of him asap- no problems from that point on. Would stop by again if we needed a relatively inexpensive place to stay. The room was extremely outdated. The entire facility had a strange odor about it, especially the Breakfast Room (which barely contained any kind of breakfast). The housekeeping staff was slow, and hard to talk to (they spoke very poor English). This was my first time in Gatlinburg. The hotel was a long walk to the amenities is town. A little off the beaten path. the hotel itself is in disrepair with wallpaper peeling off the wall in the bathroom. It needs to be updated. Very dark and dismal. The a/c unit was in the front of the suite so the bedroom was too warm. For the price I felt very disappointed. […] One of the only positives was the check in process and the staff and owner. They were very pleasant and accommodating. The only reason I stayed there was I couldn't get a room at a nicer hotel. They were all booked. Mehr
