Die ersten drei Tage unseres Kanada-Aufenthaltes sollten ohne Kompromisse bei der Wahl des Hotels erfoilgen - und wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Wir haben den Aufenthalt und die Fürsorge sehr geniessen können. Mit der zentralen Lage in Downtown-Vancouver kann man bereits fußläufig einige Attraktionen (Canada-Place; Gastown etc.) erreichen - andere […] Ziele sind mit Nahverkehrsmittel (Bus) in unmittelbarer Umgebung zum Hotel zu realisieren. Spitze fanden wir die kostenlosen Fahrräder des Hotels - die Fahrt durch den Stanley-Park war traumhaft. Ausstattung der Zimmer - Swimming-Pool im Aussenbereich - Nespresso-Cafe auf dem Zimmer - freundliches Personal u.v.a. machten unseren Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Mehr

Wir können dieses Hotel in zentraler Lage nur empfehlen: Zimmer, Service, Ambiente und vor allem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sind wirklich gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Eines der besten Hotels, die wir jemals hatten. Der Service ist ungewöhnlich nett, zuvorkommend und kompetent auch bei Fragen nach der Umgebung. Das Hotel besser ausgestattet und sauberer als viele sehr viel teureren Hotels. Eine Topadresse zur Übernachtung in Vancouver, uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen !

Very comfortable, clean hotel with a small but superb swimming pool and spa area. Very quiet room even though the hotel is located in the very heart of Vancouver next to busy Robson Street. Within walking distance of major attractions and sights (Stanley Park about 30 minutes). All employees extremely friendly and very helpful. Es gab nichts auszusetzen, alles war perfekt.

Sehr moderne und grosszügige Zimmer mit großem Marmorbad (Badewanne und Dusche separat). Sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Einige Zimmer (auch unseres) haben Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheit. Sehr zentrale Lage unweit der Robson Street.

This is a 60 room, high-end boutique hotel in the heart of Vancouver. The hotel is within a 5 min walk of the Light Rail Transit Downtown Vancouver station (which you can take directly from the airport for $8.50/person without changing trains). The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, just steps away from the shopping on Robson Street […] and Robson square, and the entertainment district on Granville Street. Best of all, you can walk to historic Gastown, the harbourfront, and take a cab for less than $10 to the Granville Island public market (totally worth it). As for the hotel itself, the room was clean and immaculate, complete with complimentary espresso, coffee, tea and two televisions with satellite feed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious (clad in stone and high end fixtures). The gym area very good (several pieces of modern equipment and cardio machines). The pool and jacuzzi are open all year round (I used them in early February), and the 5th floor orangerie lounge is a great place to grab a free cup of coffee or tea in the morning and read the paper. Last but not least, the service in the hotel is by far the best I've experienced, and exceeded the service I've gotten at major hotels like Hyatt, Four Seasons, the W, etc. The concierge is knowledgeable and friendly, and the entire staff works to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable. The only negative I had was the heating & A/C unit in my room; the roof panel covering the duct work was loose and made a loud ratting sound when the heat was on (but this was fixed right away after a quick call to the front desk). Friendly, helpful staff. The hotel was centrally located and easy walking distance the the downtown spots. Would stay here again, great hotel.

simply the best hotel in Vancouver. I had previously stayed elsewhere, and believed the Opus to be the best stay in this beautiful city, but not anymore. L'Hermitage is by far the most convenient location, with beautiful rooms, and exceptional service! Don't bother looking elsewhere.

We stayed here for two nights for NYE 2011/2012. The location can't be beat and the hotel is very nice.

I stayed at the L'Hermitage Hotel for two nights in December, for a "romantic getaway." I traveled up from Seattle and used all the positive reviews I read online to pick this hotel. And what I read online was backed up by the hotel during my stay. The L'Hermitage Hotel is a wonderful hotel with all the amenities you could want out of a weekend stay […] in Vancouver: the hotel was very clean, the concierge was extremely helpful (they went above and beyond to help me find what I needed), and the location is excellent. We found our stay to be very nice. The location suited our needs and the staff was exceptional.

We have stayed in numerous downtown Vancouver hotels, we will not be staying anywhere but L'Hermitage from now on! The hotel has all the amenities and is clean but what sold us is the service, wonderful, helpful, kind staff, they couldn't do enough. Will definitely be back.

A very nice upscale hotel, we stayed in a petit boutique room, that was not really petit. A full size room with a king size bed and nice size wash room, exactly what we needed.The staff were as accommodating and pleasant as one could wish, we were treated very well. Location was very good; close to stadium, and a short walk to subway... at a very acceptable […] price. Did not try the restaurant, but had a nice breakfast in the lounge. I would certainly return. If returning to Vancouver this is the first hotel I would check for vacancies. I cannot fault this hotel - the staff ( a big thanks to Raymond the Conceiege and Shaun the doorman especially), the excellent room which looked on to the pool and a central location. You should definitely consider this hotel.

Helpfull staff, lovely room. Close to all amenities, great restaurant. Would definately stay here again.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and nothing much has changed - it's still the best in Vancouver.

A fabulous hotel. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. It's one of the few hotels that has a designated shower and not something hanging up in the bath. They have lovely little touches such as a turn down service in the evening and a coffee machine in the rooms. The only fault I could find was the intermittent noise of the air conditioning.

We arrived at L'Hermitage with high hopes based on the reviews here on Hotels dot com and we were not dissapointed. From our initial check-in to our check-out 4 days later we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and proximity of the hotel to other areas of the city. The hotel was right in the middle of downtown within walking distance to Robson Street, Granville Street, and Yaletown. Lots of restaurants, stores nearby. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and the staff friendly. Our kids loved Hippo the canine concierge the best!

Hotel was ok but rooms are a bit small .Staff very helpful. The Italian restraurant next door is really a sports bar and was very disapointing food wise and very expensive.

This is a pet friendly hotel and while we were told that our room was not a pet room, there was a distinct urine smell in the bathroom. They tried to eradicate it but to no avail. The lighting in the bathroom was poor but they did have a lighted make-up mirror. We like to read in bed and that was not possible with the lighting in the room. Luxurious, spotlessly clean, quiet and peaceful with a professional staff.

Excellent hotel, perfect location-close to the theatre and hockey arena and shopping. The staff were superb. Excellent restaurant in the lobby and very nice breakfast buffet. The room and bathroom both were large and very clean and welcoming. I was in a wheel chair at the time of our visit and the staff accommodated my every need and they were very […] friendly. My wife and I recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff was wonderful and the location was perfect right in the middle of downtown Vancouver. The room was amazing. It was very spacious and the amenities were exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody going to Vancouver.

The hotel was lovely, food at attached restaurant Q4 was excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They had 2 nice bikes which we borrowed for the day and rode thru Stanley Park and to the Granville Market and then all over town to get a look around. Great stay!

In a word, awsome. It takes a lot to impress me and I was impressed. Will be back.

I stayed at this hotel for about 8 days and was so pleasantly surprised to see that the staff here really was as friendly as other reviewers said they would be. They were amazingly friendly and service oriented, right down to Hippo, the hotel dog. I was very comfortable here. My only complaint would be that it can get kind of noisy if your room is […] near the pool. (which was surprising to us, since we didn't expect anyone to be in the pool when the temps outside were still so cold.) Otherwise, great stay. Mehr

I have found the perfect place to stay in Vancouver. Robson shopping is close to walk to and when finished it's all downhill back to the hotel!! Wonderful breakfast and kids under 12 eat free. Impecable service and friendly atmosphere, resonable valet parking with in/out privleges. Nothing bad to say about this hotel!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this hotel. this was the second time I stayed there, and will certainly stay there again! friendly staff, conveniently located, and superb decor! The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and chic. the breakfast is delectable as well!

It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is elegant , the room is big and spacious, especially the bathroom. There are many restaurants, shops, (organic and Korean) supermarkets, cafes etc. Easy to pop in and out for a quick shop or bite. Robson Street and Granville Street are only a few steps away. There are the famous Japadog and vietnamese pho eateries […] right across the street. Surprising in downtown but It was not noisy at all. 5mins walk to train stations.The canadians are so friendly. The staff are helpful and yet not intrusive. We love it! Mehr

Our stay here was just lovely! This is the nicest hotel we have stayed at in Vancouver. The staff were so friendly and helpful, asking if we had any questions any time we left the hotel. We would stay here again for sure!

I had the best experience at this hotel - everything was perfect. The staff was superior - whatever I needed or wanted was handled immediately. The room had everything I desired, from the kitchen to the washer & dryer. Everything was perfect.

My wife and I decided to have our honeymoon in Vancouver. After much research, we decided to stay at the L'Hermitage Hotel. We got a great deal from Hotels.com, but we certainly would've paid much more for our experience with L'Hermitage. We were able to check in very early (7AM) since we arrived early. The hotel location is great. It is in the middle of downtown, which makes it easy to get anywhere you want to go. When we arrived, we were greeted by the doorman. All of the hotel staff was very kind. Our room was not quite ready (because we arrived early), so we were personally escorted to have complimentary coffee. While waiting for our room and […] enjoying our coffee, the hotel staff brought us our room key, told us us our bags were already in the room, and were very attentive to our needs. We are not very demanding people, so this far exceeded any expectations we had. When were arrived to the room, we realized that we had been upgraded to a much better room. Though the total square footage of the room was not that much, it did include a full kitchen, washroom, 2 bathrooms, office, living area, balcone, bedroom, and walk-in closets. Everything in the room was of very good quality... except the couches. They were not the most comfortable. In general, the hotel was great, and the people were nice during our entire stay. They greeted us by name, offered directions to any place we needed to go, and really focused on excellent customer service. Pros: customer service, location, cleanliness, elegance of rooms, value. Cons: pool is small (but still nice), valet takes a little while to get the car, parking is pricy (35 w/ tax). I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

I would definitley stay here again. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood close to major bus stops and the train, which goes directly to the airport. There is a gorcery store next door which was very convenient when we got in late and wanted a snack. There are lots of restaurants close by and the convention center is an easy 10-15 minute walk. […] they have a heated pool and a hot tub. The room was nice and spacious and the bathroom was enormous! I loved the bathroom. Their bath supplies smell great. The staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The decor, service, and atmosphere are comparable to the Four Seasons. I took off a star for "condition" becuase the hallway was kept very warm. It was easy to adjust the temperature in our room, but the setting only lasted till 5:30 am for some reason so we had to get out of bed and adjust it in the morning. On the plus side, the room had operable windows. We had no problems with noise and the bed was very comfortable. Mehr

Excellent hotel in the center of Vancouver. Beautiful, clean, well run. I got a special deal and got great value. Huge bathroom, great bed, comfortable and welcming furniture. My only complaint is that there was some kind of noise, perhaps the heating, that kept me asleep throughout the night. Every five minutes a very loud racket would go for about […] a minute. It was very hard to get a good night's rest. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Mehr
