Excellent hotel, perfect location-close to the theatre and hockey arena and shopping. The staff were superb. Excellent restaurant in the lobby and very nice breakfast buffet. My wife and I recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff was wonderful and the location was perfect right in the middle of downtown Vancouver. The room was amazing. It was very spacious and the amenities were exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody going to Vancouver.

The hotel was lovely, food at attached restaurant Q4 was excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They had 2 nice bikes which we borrowed for the day and rode thru Stanley Park and to the Granville Market and then all over town to get a look around. Great stay!

In a word, awsome. It takes a lot to impress me and I was impressed. Will be back.

I stayed at this hotel for about 8 days and was so pleasantly surprised to see that the staff here really was as friendly as other reviewers said they would be. They were amazingly friendly and service oriented, right down to Hippo, the hotel dog. I was very comfortable here. My only complaint would be that it can get kind of noisy if your room is […] near the pool. I have found the perfect place to stay in Vancouver. Robson shopping is close to walk to and when finished it's all downhill back to the hotel!! Wonderful breakfast and kids under 12 eat free. Impecable service and friendly atmosphere, resonable valet parking with in/out privleges. Nothing bad to say about this hotel!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this hotel. this was the second time I stayed there, and will certainly stay there again! friendly staff, conveniently located, and superb decor! The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and chic. the breakfast is delectable as well!

It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is elegant , the room is big and spacious, especially the bathroom. There are many restaurants, shops, (organic and Korean) supermarkets, cafes etc. Easy to pop in and out for a quick shop or bite. Robson Street and Granville Street are only a few steps away. There are the famous Japadog and vietnamese pho eateries […] right across the street. Surprising in downtown but It was not noisy at all. 5mins walk to train stations.The canadians are so friendly. The staff are helpful and yet not intrusive. We love it! Mehr

Our stay here was just lovely! This is the nicest hotel we have stayed at in Vancouver. The staff were so friendly and helpful, asking if we had any questions any time we left the hotel. We would stay here again for sure!

I had the best experience at this hotel - everything was perfect. The staff was superior - whatever I needed or wanted was handled immediately. The room had everything I desired, from the kitchen to the washer & dryer. Everything was perfect.

My wife and I decided to have our honeymoon in Vancouver. After much research, we decided to stay at the L'Hermitage Hotel. We got a great deal from Hotels.com, but we certainly would've paid much more for our experience with L'Hermitage. We were able to check in very early (7AM) since we arrived early. The hotel location is great. It is in the middle of downtown, which makes it easy to get anywhere you want to go. When we arrived, we were greeted by the doorman. All of the hotel staff was very kind. Our room was not quite ready (because we arrived early), so we were personally escorted to have complimentary coffee. While waiting for our room and […] enjoying our coffee, the hotel staff brought us our room key, told us us our bags were already in the room, and were very attentive to our needs. We are not very demanding people, so this far exceeded any expectations we had. When were arrived to the room, we realized that we had been upgraded to a much better room. Though the total square footage of the room was not that much, it did include a full kitchen, washroom, 2 bathrooms, office, living area, balcone, bedroom, and walk-in closets. Everything in the room was of very good quality... except the couches. They were not the most comfortable. In general, the hotel was great, and the people were nice during our entire stay. They greeted us by name, offered directions to any place we needed to go, and really focused on excellent customer service. Pros: customer service, location, cleanliness, elegance of rooms, value. Cons: pool is small (but still nice), valet takes a little while to get the car, parking is pricy (35 w/ tax). I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

I would definitley stay here again. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood close to major bus stops and the train, which goes directly to the airport. There is a gorcery store next door which was very convenient when we got in late and wanted a snack. There are lots of restaurants close by and the convention center is an easy 10-15 minute walk. […] they have a heated pool and a hot tub. The room was nice and spacious and the bathroom was enormous! I loved the bathroom. Their bath supplies smell great. The staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The decor, service, and atmosphere are comparable to the Four Seasons. I took off a star for "condition" becuase the hallway was kept very warm. It was easy to adjust the temperature in our room, but the setting only lasted till 5:30 am for some reason so we had to get out of bed and adjust it in the morning. On the plus side, the room had operable windows. We had no problems with noise and the bed was very comfortable. Mehr

Excellent hotel in the center of Vancouver. Beautiful, clean, well run. I got a special deal and got great value. Huge bathroom, great bed, comfortable and welcming furniture. My only complaint is that there was some kind of noise, perhaps the heating, that kept me asleep throughout the night. Every five minutes a very loud racket would go for about […] a minute. Wonderful hotel - my favorite in Vancouver! Really well-appointed rooms, comfortable, and great staff. If you get a room with a kitchen, there's a great grocery store on the corner to stock -up.

Stayed at this hotel overnight on 25th October. This was my second visit there this year. When I last stayed there in January the hotel had only just opened. Whilst the facilities and decor are still in generally good order there were signs that some maintenance is required (problem with water not being hot enough, black mould in base of shower, wall […] surface damaged where a door opened against it). I like this hotel, it provides a high standard of accomodation at a good price in a handy location with friendly staff. I just hope that the management will stay on top of the maintenance issues! The Hotel was extremely comfortable with staff exceptionally courteous and helpful. Restaurant due to open two weeks after stay, but that was not a problem with eateries of all description available within easy reach. Would happily stay again.

Friendly staff. Funny dog. Clean and comfortable. Its been a while since I have had such a pleasent hotel stay.

L'Hermitage is a wonderful, spacious hotel. It has been by far the nicest I've stayed in over the last six weeks of work travel. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a great gym and lovely outdoor, heated pool for guest.

Everything about the whole stay was amazing! I firmly believe that the staff from the front desk, bellman, concierge, and cleaning staff made the best of the stay. They were all so friendly and accomodated and recognized on a regular basis that we were there for our honeymoon and made a lot of small details that made our stay amazing. A fantastic hotel. The exterior is fairly non-descript and the entrance foyer fairly small (though smart) but this all belies the standards of the hotel. No matter the standard of the hotel the experience can be let down by staff however ALL of the staff that we met at L'Hermitage were excellent. Clearly well trained, helpful and attentive. The hotel is located at the south end of Robson Street (shops and restaurants) a block away from the Granville Street entertainment area, very close to Yaletown (good restaurant and bar area) and 10 mins walk from false creek and the river buses to Granville etc. Though if you are into walking ALL of downtown vancouver is accessible from L'Hermitage. The hotel is located centrally to all Vancouver attractions in the city, which makes for an easy walk almost anywhere. We had a boutique suite and it was perfect for our 6-night stay. The two flat panel televisions, refrigerator, comfortable bed, and awesome bathroom made for a great stay. We arrived a bit early but were able to check-in to our room […] right away. I must also say that Raymond, the Concierge, was incredibly helpful, as he helped us plan out our entire week. Thank you Raymond! An added bonus is the hotel has two very nice comfort bicycles that are loaned to guests for no charge. Vancouver is a bicycle friendly city, and since my wife and I are both avid bicyclists, we made good use of this little extra. I don't have too much on the negative side about our stay, the staff, or the hotel. One nuisance is that the hotel is located directly across the street from a small hotel that has a bar/grill. The noise was quite loud coming from the street on two of the nights of our stay, and at about 2:00 in the morning. That wasn't too big a deal though. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone. Mehr

This is a wonderful property, with a very courteous and attentive staff. There is a rather complete convenience store 1/2 block south with a nice array of sandwiches and other take out food and pastries. For Catholics, the Catholic cathedral is 1 1/2 blocks north. A major stop on the metro line that runs from the airport to the waterfront is just […] 2 blocks west. It has elevators to facilitate handling luggage or wheelchairs, so no carrying heavy suitcases up stairs. Therefore there is no need to take a cab from or to the airport, a major plus. Mehr

Excellent front desk and door personnel. Room even upgraded a bit. A bit pushy about the valet parking (it is a bit pricey with taxes compared to others), but overall a very pleasant experience. Boutique hotel for sure, with charm, elegance and service.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel in Vancouver. We stayed in a Boutique Suite which was excellent. The staff throughout our stay were most attentive and very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. For its price this hotel cannot be beaten in Downtown Vancouver.

We arrived at the hotel early, but they had a room and we were able to check in early. The room was smaller than I exppected but it was fine for two. The furniture could have been cleaner. The gentleman that check us into the hotel was very friendly and gave us information about places to eat that evening. Anytime in the future when coming to Vancouver […] I would stay at this hotel. I stayed for 7 days at the L'Hermitage and it was a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. The staff always said hello even if it was in passing in the hallway or elevator. The room was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was to die for! The location was convenient to all areas of downtown Vancouver - easy walking distance to […] Gastown, Yaletown, Chinatown, Harbour Centre and 2 Skytrain stations. The business centre was very handy to use the computers and access the internet. The hotel had complimentary wifi. My only regret was the temperature was not warm enough for me to take a dip in the outdoor pool. If I ever visit Vancouver again I would definitely return to L'Hermitage. Mehr

Perfect for our short stay in Vancouver. Loved the balcony, fireplace, outdoor hot tub and friendliness of the staff. Make sure to consult the concierge for restaurant recommendations. Extremely useful. Walking distance to many interesting sites, shopping and restaurants.

L'Hermitage far exceeded our expectations! Beautiful rooms and bathrooms, wonderful ammenities, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again in a heartbeat.

I have been to Vancouver a few times before, and stayed at another very highly rated hotel. If I return, I will definitely stay at this one again because it is so convenient to everything....two blocks from the SkyLink to the airport....a couple of blocks to a bus to UBC...Large and beautiful rooms with coffee/tea maker and iPod/iPhone docking station. […] Friendly staff....overall....a great choice for downtown area! Our hotel was part of a residentila condominium and we were lucky enough to have gotten a suite that had been slated to be a one-bedroom condo. It was beautifully appointed and had a full kitchen with a great bath and laundry. The hotel left nothing to chance -- they even provided Tide for the laundry! The concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgable […] about Vancouver -- its sights, transportation, restaurants, and all the little gems a traveller wants to know about. He was very pleasant and when we reported that we weren't as pleased with a suggestion, he went and tried it and agreed with us -- took constructive suggestions as they were given. Mehr

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel and enjoyed the staff's friendliness. We stayed in the 1 bedroom boutique suite room and had ample of room to move around. It was like being home away from home. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We plan to stay at L'Hermitage again on our next visit to Vancouver. The location of the hotel is excellent […] and is within walking distance to all major attractions. Also, we love the "lap" pool on the fifth floor, which allowed us to relax a bit after a long day of sightseeing. Mehr
