Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen in einer der grossen Einkaufsstrassen. Zu Fuß erreicht man bequem den Markt und alle großen Museen etc. Auch der Seightseeing Bus fährt ca. 2 Minuten entfernt vorbei.

Das Hotel liegt ausgesprochen günstig. Man ist in wenigen Minuten auf de Longstreet. Selbst die Waterfront ist zu Fuß in 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Nachdem die von uns gebuchte Junior Suite offensichtlich nicht mehr zur Verfügung stand, wollte man uns in einem Studio unterbringen. Damit waren wir natürlich nicht einverstanden. Nach einigem Hin und Her […] und etwas Wartezeit bekamen wir dann ein Luxury Zimmer, was wirklich ausgesprochen geräumig war (es bestand aus 2 Räumen). Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Frühstück haben wir nicht dort eingeommen, es gibt aber genügend Möglichkeiten in der näheren Umgebung. Der Teppichboden auf den Fluren und teilweise auch der Teppich im Zimmer war nicht sehr sauber. Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmerservice klappt nicht optimal! Manchmal wurde vergessen, dass Zimmer zu reinigen.

The Adderley is a great little funky hotel. The front desk staff and manager went out of their way to help us rent a car, buy a cell phone, plan day trips. Having a kitchenette was great. We used it quite a lot. The pool is a wading pool, no laps, but refreshing. I would definitely stay there again.

This must be the best kept secret of Cape Town, thye Hotel is newly renovated and they have made stunning rooms with lots of space. Work area, sitting area great bathroom, it is super and very reasonable priced, I will be coming back.

Over all the hotel was okay. Cons: The room doesn't exactly look like the pictures. Some of the hardwood flooring did not look complete. When I arrived the room type that I requested was not available so I they had to change my room. The room was a little warm. The staff was not really knowledgeable about things to do. You have to pay for Wi-Fi, to […] use the phone, and parking. (There is a really nice Sushi bar on Long Street...near Mama Africa that will allow you to use Wi-Fi if you are a customer). Pros: The price is excellent. Parking is in a garage, so you don't have to park on the street and it is central enough that you can walk to many attractions. The location is within walking distance of Long Street and many nice restaurants and Greensmarket. Also, the Victoria and Albert Waterfront and Table Mountain are only a short drive. The hotel sits about 1 block from the House of Parliament. There is a really nice garden (Company Garden) across from the House of Parliament. The staff is friendly and will try to assist as much as they can. Mehr

Room is spacious and comfortable. We didn't think there was value to the buffet breakfast though. There are many cafes and breakfast options one street over.

My wife and I just got back after staying here for 2 weeks. The location is adequate (we rented a car), but you can make it from the hotel to the waterfront for 40-50 Rand. I would definitely recommend renting a car to those that are comfortable driving stick and on the left. An alternative is to get either the city or sightseeing bus pass. There was […] an issue with internet vouchers being empty or partially used, so make sure you check the value before you start surfing. Otherwise, the service was fantastic, from breakfast staff in the morning to the Restaurant Manager allowing me to borrow a bottle opener for the duration of our stay. The only reason I did not give a 5 on room comfort is because the street noise can be a little much. Overall, fantastic hotel, especially for the money. Mehr

I was so happy I found this hotel. With alot of choice in Cape Town I opted for price and location and was very happy with the outcome. The room was spacious and the service was friendly and incredibly helpful. I had initial concerns about parking availability but in my mind there is adequate parking provided. Office area, close to Long street. We stayed during NYE, hence it was pretty deserted in the day but had the NYE parade to keep us company at night and a festival the other nights we stayed. No complaints.

Staff were very helpful and the room was great, very comfortable. The hotel is close to all the sights and restaurants in Long Street. Would stay there again.

The room is great. One of the best I have seen. The service at the front desk is ok. the location is ok too. Better than the guides suggest.

Nice hotel with large bed rooms which are modern equipped, good service, well located in Cape Town close to any attractions and shopping...can absolutely recommend this hotel!

Central location. Excellent service and friendly staff

This hotel was the best one I have stayed in ever. The staff were uber helpful and really kind. Location was fantastic and a 5 minute walk to Long street. A great place to stay and without a doubt the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

It's not in the "tourist" area, but more near the local shopping and business area. The room was great, the staff was great and the price was great. I'd definitely stay there again.

I just returned from the Adderley and felt it was quite a nice clean hotel. It can be noisy at times since you are in the central business district, but that is to be expected. Don't expect the concierge to know much as they were not friendly and didnt appear awake half the time! Every question I asked them about the surrounding area and major attractions, […] they were very clueless! This is a great clean place to stay and see Cape Town, but do expect to bring your own information! Also- and do not let this deter you, as this is by chance that it occured but on the morning we were to depart for the airport, the person who valeted our vehicle forgot to turn the car lights off. So when we called in the morning to receive our car, they mentioned it was dead! It was quite stressful as we needed to be at the airport. They helped out and worked hard to jumpstart the car, (their jumper cables were faulty, so instead of rushing to get new cables, they replaced our car battery?!) but the whole thing was a headache and a hassle. Luckily we caught the flight on time despite the disturbance. Again an isolated incident. If you do valet your car, just remind them to shut the lights! Overall great hotel. Mehr

Very good value hotel in centre of Cape Town, helpful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. Would be happy to stay there again.

if its a view from your hotel window you want then this is not for you, but if it is convenience to the in spots without having to suffer the noise and hassle that goes with them, then this is your spot. If you want to feel at home, and have staff that genuinely care that you enjoy your stay, then again book here. Great location but the noise was way too much. All night long traffic noise. We had dinner at the hotel one night and the food was just fair. We should have figured it out when we were the only ones eating in that night. The rooms were large and nice but we got up in the morning with "bites" on our bodies. The staff was excellent but the hotel is very small and right on a busy downtown street that is noisy very early in the morning and late into the night. You have to step way down to get into the tub and shower, very bad for anyone with balance issues. No matter where I aimed the shower head the floor to the bathroom was flooded with water.

Very nice hotel. Very clean room, staff was very helpful. They let us use the phone at the desk for ~30min trying to sort out a banking problem in the US. The parking garage is a major attraction if you will be traveling by car. It always seemed safe and was very inexpensive. The area surrounding the hotel felt unsafe, but I think that that whole area […] of Cape Town was unsafe. Just a fair warning for foreign travellers. Mehr

Just spent 9 nights on holiday at the Adderley and we were delighted with all aspects of the hotel from staff attitudes and friendliness to facilities and support. Well placed for access to Green Market Square and Long Street and only a ~£5 taxi ride from V&A Waterfront. 11th floor provides a relaxing balcony for a dip in the small pool or looking out […] over Cape Town and up to Table Mountain. No hesitation in recommending and will stay there gain next time we are in Cape Town. Mehr

great place to stay ,great location close to everthing and safe at night to walk to the bars ,restaurant in Long street or the Greenmarket area . We had a great deal so exceptional value would recommend to anyone .

This hotel was super clean, conveniently located and very modern and stylish. The continental breakfast was meager and the upgraded hot breakfast was very pricey. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area shops shut down early in the evening so there were not many choices for evening snacking or last minute convenience store sho […] pping. The hotel has recently been taken over by another group and the staffing is still being 'sorted'. It appears that approx 75% of staff know what they are doing - the other 25% - clueless. Other than that - excellent all round including the restaurant.

We are recommending this Hotel to all our family and friends. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We used the laundry service which was very good. We also had a meal in the Restaurant and drinks in the bar. The Concierge service was excellent. The Hotel was central for Restaurants and easy to walk or get a taxi […] to the local sights. It was convenient for everything. Our only comment would be access to Wi-fi was not as available or easy to access as we had hoped. We found a local coffee shop which just gave us a password and we were able to sit in the open air outside to send and receive emails. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay and would return again if visiting Cape Town. Mehr

Food was good and room (suite) very comfortable and well supplied with everything you would need for meal preparation if you wish to make your own food. Great bathtub and shower setup. I just spent 5 nights here (Feb 2011) and I was (only somewhat) impressed. Because all the online reviews were so positive, I had high expectations. I will say the location is excellent (if a bit sketchy), the rooms are HUGE, the bathrooms are really nice, and the hotel restaurant was quite good. But the service was lacking. The concierge was virtually […] useless (they didn't know locations for even some of the most obvious restaurants and attractions), they were not especially helpful, and the wake-up calls only happened on 2 out of 5 mornings. Overall, if you're looking for an affordable, roomy, slightly-above-basic hotel - this is your pick. If you're looking for much more, I'd say keep looking. Mehr

Our room was a junior suite and it was just like the photograph on the web. Clean, comfortable and the kitchen was a very welcome addition - no faffing about for that much needed cup of tea or coffee! And we sat down to breakfast together every morning. Generally the facilities were excellent, as was the location, although watch out on a Sunday when […] everything shuts! We had a meal at the hotel that night as nothing else seemed to be open. The Hotel is within walking distance to the Harbour, Major Shopping, Great Restaurants, Parliament, Botanical Gardens, Table Mountain, and is surrounded by street fairs from mid December to early Jan. (They block off the whole street at night, bring in live music, and a couple thousand street vendors) Fantastic!! The […] Hotel Staff were always able to help with a warm friendly smile, the Pool on the roof (more like an extra large hot tub with cold water...But hey you had roof top access!) had a water fall!! The rooms! We walked in to the lap of luxury. The best bed I have slept on -Period. In suite hot tub for 2, silent air conditioning, The best looking shower I'd seen in a month, and 2 toilets in the suite (There were 3 of us traveling together). The 24 hour concierge, helped us organize and book trips in and around Cape Town, and was able to point out where to get the best selection of Indian Cuisine our party had ever encountered. Yes this was our first trip to South Africa, it was not our first trip however. We've stayed with lesser hotels for more money. The Adderley Hotel and more importantly the Staff there were a real highpoint for us during our stay. Mehr
