"nur eine Nacht dort gewesen"
Verglichen mit anderen Days Inn Hotels ist das in Utica nicht übel, das Nicht-Raucher-Zimmer ist tatsächlich ein Nicht-Raucher-Zimmer. Leider ist das kostenlose Frühstück bei Days Inn immer das gleiche und damit absolut unbrauchbar. McDonald's wohnt aber gleich gegenüber.

Hotel hallway smelled of old stale cigarette smoke despite being a non smoking room. It looked like there was a table in the room and they removed it without rearranging the furniture.

The room was a bit small, but since we got in at 11 and left at 8 it wasn't an issue for us. We had no complaints about our experience.

This hotel is pretty nasty - the smoking and non smoking rooms are next to each other and the hallway reeks - also it looks straight outta the 80's in here.
"Everything I expected"
This hotel had very good reviews so I decided to test the waters myself. I was extremely satisfied with the room and staff. Friendly front desk, good neighborhood, quiet and clean. I would stay here again!

Worst hotel pay a little extra for comfort, wireless & convience. They had listed wireless asked the guy at front desk wireless works, got to room no signal at all had to go to Starbucks to complete work. Plus the rooms are very outdated.
"Nice short stay"
Was there for a wedding and had a pretty nice stay. The hotel overall is what you expect from the normal inn. You cant expect 5 stars service and comfort. The place was close to town and food near by with bars only a few mins away from driving. Overall you'll have a great stay since a short stay you'll be out and about most of the time.

Easy access from main highway, close to downtown, and several good restaurants. The place was very clean and very quiet. I'd stay there again.
"Clean enough and convenient for our stay"
We spent a week in Utica to visit family and this hotel was good for what we needed. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. They had a pack and play delivered to the room for our infant son to sleep in. The only thing we didn't like was that when we tried to bathe our son, there was a lot of black grime that came out from under the tub stopper. "Disappointed Stay"
We have stayed at this hotel a few times since it is convenient to the NYS Thruway and Utica area. We usually stay 2 nights because the cost is very reasonable. This time we slept in until 9:30am Saturday and left to go to breakfast and put the do not disturb sign back in the room. The cleaning people never went into our room after we left. They wrote […] on their list we did not want to be distrubed. We left the hotel at 10am Sat and did not return until 1:30am Sunday. Really....come on there was no reason not to clean the room. Well no tip was left this time. I even told the receptionist Sunday when checking out that they should have gone back and cleaned the room. I may stay again but if it happens again I will not go back there. Mehr
This place was fine. Not luxury but i wasnt looking for that. Front desk was pleasant; the location was very convenient, right off the interstate and close to downtown; there were plenty of places to eat nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to book here; it is as it is advertised.

"Old, Outdated, & Grimy"
Not awful...but it could be a lot better. The hotel was outdated and little work had been done to bring it into the 90s. Everything was old and worn. It could have been a lot cleaner but at this point, it would take a lot of effort that most companies don't want to invest. Location was convenient to where we were visiting...that was the best part. Overall, […] it's manageable and the price was attractive, but if you have the means and need more than a place to sleep and shower, this isn't the place for you. Mehr
"good location- going downhill fast"
have stay here numerous times before. this time was different. towels old, dry, & scratchy. shower heads not functioning. blankets old with cigarette burns on them. complained nicely to staff, they gave us another room, that was mildly better. but, i think i will be changing hotels for next trip to see in-laws.

"Seeding guests"
Upon check in - there was a guest outside the hotel smoking an unusal cigarette. I was with a younger child and did not appreciate the environment. I was concerned about the safety of the hotel when going back to my room in the evening. I would not recommend this hotel.

Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The hotel was adaquate for our needs. The bathroom needs upgrading, but it was okay.
Staff friendly, breakfast good, drawbacks..., walls are thin.... you can hear people outside in the driveway talking, car doors shutting, people talking in the hall, knocking on doors therefore not a restful nights sleep. Damp/pee smelling rug in room

"Smoking"
When accessing the hotel from a back door, I was often overwhelmed by cigarette smoke. Although this is more a clientele situation, perhaps a friendly sign (asking people to smoke away from entranceways) or an ash tray set further away could rectify this issue.
Very friendly, personable staff and manager. Stayed 2 nights. First night they gave us a nice upgrade for unknown reason to us, but we knew we had to change for the next day. No problem with that. Suite was super clean and so comfortable. Loved the upgrade. 2nd night room was obviously not as clean: dirty carpet and moldy bathroom ceiling. I woke up […] with an eye infection. I have many allergies so I am sensitive to allergens like mold. That's my only complain. I needed an iron and board. Staff couldn't find a board, but they tried. I appreciate that. Hotel was near many restaurants Room was clean and staff was friendly. Nice to have three pillows on each bed. the only thing missing is a microwave and fridge in room on request. They do have a microwave in room with vending machine but it is for everyone to share so was not the cleanest and fridge is also for everyone so did not use that. For the […] price is was still good. I was in Utica for a quick visit with my son. This hotel was just fine for me: inexpensive and very convenient to the highway. As hotels of this "star rating" go, I found it very clean, well kept and the people at the desk were very polite and helpful. The only complaint I have was that the breakfast selection was pretty poor. That area wasn't paarticularly […] well stocked either, even though I was there at 8:00AM. We stayed one night, actually more like 8 hours. It's a very basic, stripped down hotel. The room was clean (if somewhat cramped for a family of three), and was reasonably priced. There were no brochures of any kind in the room. No listing of places to eat or places to visit. The door to our room had a 2 inch gap all the way around. There seemed to be no attention paid to the noise level in the hotel was which extremely high and loud until around 2:30 AM. "hotel smells like smoke.."
One side of the hall is smoking and other side is non smoking! The hallway stinks of smoke, and that's all I could smell all night long!!!!
although I was in a non-smoking room the odor of cigarette smoke was in the hallway,which was very unpleasent.
