It did the job

Hotel close to casino's off hwy 10. The rooms have all the needs ref. microwave. phone. clean and convenient to the pool and jac. Needs coffee pot in each room and the pool needs to be heated.as the jac. Regardless if you are in a hot area it is cold at night and the jac. always needs to be at the proper temperature. Warning, do not stay at this hotel! The walls are paper thin, the room was filthy, and maintenance was very much defered.Tthe cost for this hotel for one night was the same as a beautiful hotel we stayed in Arizona. Unbelievable. No comparison whatsoever.

We stayed at this hotel because there was no room in any other hotel in that area because of the BNP Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells. The staff was helpful when we had to call them at mid-night to quiet down a group that was out in the hot tub. Security was sent and the problem was taken care of right away. The room was comfortable. The decor was […] older, but neat and clean. The light outside on the porch was on all night and was bright. We managed to push a piece of furniture against it to keep out the light. All in all, it was an okay place to stay. Mehr

At one time I think this was a good three star hotel; however, the neighborhood is not great any longer and is a bit off the beaten path. It happened to be convenient for us to reach Cuhilla County Park in the morning. The structure and furnishings are old and no longer kept up well. It is too expensive for the quality. It is worn out old hotel. Only stay if you dont have anything else available. Have a weird smell in whole hotel.

We had a bad experience at this Hotel and their connecting Restaurant. It took over 1 hour to be served at this Restaurant. Im talking just a waitress to ask if we wanted anything to drink!!! It took another hour or more for them to serve our plates!! Then over charged us $20.00!!!! Front Desk Clerk Jeremy....asked my fiance to show proof he was a tenant […] at the Hotel...while he was pouring coffee in the front lobby. They do not have in-room coffee makers!!! I booked our rooms through Hotel.com, even though the front desk said it was Expedia. We ended up with 2 handicap rooms, even though we only asked for one. The price was reasonable and the location is good. Our room was clean but we found long black hairs on the blanket, towels and bathroom mirror. The television did not work, but the front desk person […] took care of it. We only had to stay 2 nights. I would not have wanted to stay any more than that. Mehr

Worked well for us for one night

It was terrible decision to chose Royal Palza Inn for my New Year vacation trip. Over half of the hotel accommodation listed online were not matched.

This is where we stay when visiting Indio, it has been about 8 years since our last stay. The place has been very well maintained with some upgrades in the years. Convenient location, Cactus Jack's is still a great place to eat, we will absolutely be back.

need improvement no braekfasy or anything really bad

We knew this was a cheap, older hotel, so we weren't sure what to expect. The area is kinda sketchy, but we were only there for one night. The room is still decorated in 80s decor, but it was all very clean. The shower and bath area had been updated and were pretty spacious given the age of the hotel. They also had a bunch of toiletry samples for us […] to use, much to our surprise. The carpet was freshly shampooed, so it seemed a little damp, but I appreciate their efforts to clean the carpet. This was one of the only hotels in the area who accepted dogs (of any size), and didn't charge a ridiculous amount for a pet fee (only ten dollars). Overall, we were very impressed with the experience for the price. Mehr

If you book this hotel online the front desk seems to resent it for some reason. I would never stay in this dive again.

This hotel should be shut down. I was worried about area. Room condition was poor. Shower did not work properly - sprayed water all over floor. Would not recommend to a bad friend. Operator should have mentioned it was a dump.

The hotel was dirty, including carpets, furniture and bathrooms. Dirty towels from the previous occupants were in our bathroom upon check in. The pool was green. The manager appeared unconcerned with hotel conditions and did not offer an apology. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Horrible hotel. Filthy Room...Wouldn't give us a refund. We went to check into another hotel and when we came back to take pictures of the filthy room, they had sold it out from under us to someone else....and still wouldn't give us a refund. How unethical and shady can a dirty place be? The front desk was miserable, and completely uncooperative...favorite […] quote "This isn't a 5-star hotel, you can't expect it to be perfect!" We went to the Big 4 concert and the hotel relaxed normal rules for the weekend, pool and jacuzzi were open all night and normal check out time was 11a but they allowed 12p to accomodate concert goers. Also, a lady provided a shuttle to and from the concert. That was a nice treat since we were going to have to walk or get a taxi. Very nice staff to […] o! Mehr

we found a cockroach in one of our beds! we told hotel registration and their response was "thats not possible" so we told them it is dead on the floor where we kicked it and killed it... no refund no apology.... you decide.

Would not reccomend this hotel. Bath tub area was extremely dirty all though there was a new tile floor in the bathroom. No heat...when checking out I mentioned this and was told that they were on cold there...meaning they do not have heat. The clerk said that there should have been a sign stating that but there was not one in our room. No appologies, […] just oh!!! Mehr

2 blocks from the front gate of the Indio, CA National Date Festival. Safe walking distance. Great restaurant/bar/grill right next door. No refrigerator but a small microwave in room. Safe inside hallways from front desk to room in back.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the event I was attending. The first thing I noticed was that the hotel was not very clean. The second thing was that the lock on the sliding glass door was broken and did not stay locked. We had to tie it closed with cable ties which was not a very safe thing to do but what else could we do? The third thing […] was that all the electrical outlets were very old and cords did not stay plugged in very well. This is disconcerting when the plug falls out of the wall in the middle of drying one's hair. It is dangerous to the computer when the plug falls out when using the computer. There is no heat in the building at all. There is only air conditioning. So the front office supplied a plug in space heater for us that were freezing. Which was old and the cord got hot from the electrical outlet. There were no coffee machines in the room (evidently a theft problem) but they did supply coffee at the front desk every morning. The same with irons and ironing boards that had to be picked up from the front desk and were very old. A couple of positive things. The people were very nice and tried to solve what situations they could. They did supply a array of personal products in each room above and beyond what most hotels provide, such as toothpaste, shavers, moist handy wipe package, liquid soap body wash as well as bar soap. The building was old and I think they tried to what they could with what they had. The beds were comfortable and the TV worked. I was surprised that the room was not as clean as I expect. There were spills on the carpet that should have been cleaned with a carpet cleaning service and there was dried dirt on the bathroom floor. The walls were very thin and the people in the next room could be heard as well as the running water in the showers and toilets. Mehr

Font desk staff were refreshingly friendly and helpful; room was clean and in excellent condition for an older buidling; hotel was quiet; and the adjacent restaurant offered one of the best casual sunday brunches we have ever had!

Sylvia, was very helpful along with the rest of the staff. Would consider staying there again in the near future. Seems to have recently remodeled.

first, up entry into the room, there is a space between the door and the door facing over half an inch wide. You could practically see thru the towels which were very rough and scrachy. There was mold around the shower. The refrigerator contained stuff left from the last guest. The chair in the room was filthy. The room temperature could not be managed, […] and there was a note, that an electric heater is available upon request. There was no attendant on duty until 9:am in the morning, so check out was not available, as I had to be at my client's site by 8:00am. On the up side, the food at the Cactus Jack restaurant next door was excellant. Mehr

There was mold in the tub, numerous stains on all the chairs, the air conditioning was not adjustable (if I was cold, I should call the desk who will provide a space heater), there was no iron or ironing board in the room. I had to pick it up at the front desk--it was not a full sized ironing board, but a small table top one. There was a homeless man […] in the parking lot. Overall, it was a sad and sorry hotel. Mehr
