upon check in, had to wait aprox. 40 min for them to get a room ready. other than that, the accommodations were excellent. the breakfast was above par to other hotels that offer a full breakfast. the bed was very comfortable and pillows, which I consider an important part of a stay any were were very nice.

The hotel was very nice and clean..the beds were very hard and unconfortable..the regular tv only had a few channels to choose from..

Rooms had thin walls. Heard ppl on both sides! Not what you expect from a Marriot!!

The room was sparkling clean, roomy and the bed was comfortable. I have stayed at hotels with less that cost more. Very convenient to the major freeways,and of course to the local entertainment. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

This was an AWFUL experience. The Main staff was totally rude and no service at all :( now the girl working breakfast the next morning and a young man emptying trash that morning were lovely, but all the desk staff and managers were awful with exception of one sweet lady name Michelle. The room we booked was a queen/queen suite. The room was NOTHING […] liked pictured. There was no wall half or otherwisee to divide room and the beds were a very small double and taht is being generous. There was a sleeper sofa but no room to pull it out so totally useless. We were very upset adn had we not already paid for the room would have left. The pool area was fun but very very tiny and very little decking area so my elderly mother who came to watch the babies swim was petrefied fo falling in trying to get to a chair. Also the smaking patio was off the indoor pool with an open door so my children had to breathe in smoke while we swam :( DO NOT WASTE your money here and be warned we were so treated awful :( NOTHING like the reviews we read here previously :( Also IF you decide to go anyway stop at circle k and get snacks. a 25 cent bag of chips was $2.50 at hotel and small bottled water was $3. There is very little tv station but TONS of choices to PAY for even regular cable stations. you had to pay for PBS to see children's programs Mehr

We have stayed in this hotel before, so we decided to stay again since we were going to be in the area. It's a very nice hotel with nice staff. I would recommend this hotel!

Only complaint i had was our sink in our bathroom was dirty when we got to the room and the room was too close to the lobby. I was awoke at 6 am by the breakfast crew. Other than that, enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Just not in room 129!!

Nice staff, clean large room, great selection on TV, comfortable bed, easy access wireless internet, great breakfast, thermostat controlled AC, large bathrooms, easy access to I-20. While waiting for elevator, looked and toward the race track and saw the race horses practicing, absolute beautiful!

It was very nice and comfortable.

The hotel room is so big and clean. We love this hotel. We will stay again.

was looking for a hotel that allowed 5 guests to room with comfortable sleeping and was very impressed...5 girls for a night away in the right part of town. Room was more than expected, staff was very nice, only downfall if you could call it that was we had to raid housekeeping carts for extra towels and regular coffee packs as decaf only was in the […] room, oh and another...ice machines were out of order on our floor and the next above, had to ride elavators till we got ice but we did find it!! Overall the room was good with the exception of a dirty throw pillow, stained bed skirt and stained carpet in the room. The evening front desk crew was much more friendly than the morning front desk crew.

Very close the Race track, excellent room, very big and comfortable. would definately recommend. Will stay there again.

The Front Desk personnel was extremely helpful. They were very accomondating in changing my room type from a double to a king and offered to have our room on the first floor instead of on an upper level. Clean, compact suites, but functional lay-out.

Springhill Suites had a wonderful staff and it was very clean. The breakfast in the morning fit my families tases and needs. Great Variety. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

Great location, very clean, great breakfast, room was very comfortable, we will be return guest of this very accommodating hotel.

We picked this hotel because it was newer but location, location, location! It is by a Casino (Harrah's) but the casino is small. No table games, no video poker. There is a horse track. Not a nice casino at all. We ended up having to drive (which I did not really want to do) to downtown to a real casino.

Great room, clean, close to Casino. Would deffinitely stay there again.

We had a King Suite which we expected a couch and chair in the bedroom. When we arrived we were shocked how big the room was. It had a big living room area with a separate bedroom. The room overlooked the Louisiana Downs so we could watch the horse races. The breakfast was also great. They offered a wide variety of food.

The hotel is beautiful and looks like just like the pictures. Walking distance to Harrah's and LA Downs. The ONLY complaint I have is the walls are paper thin. You could hear every door shut, every toilet flush, people in the next room talking. You could even see light coming into the room from around the door frame of the room door. Although the hotel is not convenient to area restaurants, it was worth the extra drive for peace and relaxation - away from the rat race. No traffic or noise issues, with Harrah next door. The room was big and it was so nice to have the extra sofa/eating area in the room. Plus the beds were really comfortable. Shower Curtainer Liner was molded and comforter was dirty. Other than that it was good.

This hotel is very nice and very clean. The rooms are large and I was very surprised by the walk-in closet! My only complaint is the lighting in the vanity area is very bad! This hotel was well worth the money. I would stay there again.

Bathroom needed more lighting!

It was out of our way, but was totally worth it. The rooms were cozy and relaxing. The hotel was in great shape. We faced the race track and we loved it. Great hotel.....definately going back!

We were very satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were large and clean. The hotel being a non-smoking hotel made it a plus. I would stay at this hotel again.

After numerous issues and delays a la Abbott & Costello on my end Ifinally arrived sane and calm 6 hours behind schedule. During my attempts to get to thehotel I did have to make a few calls for directions due to Google and Yahoo maps being COMPLETELY wrong and personal detours... i think this was the "detour vacation". I said I arrived sane. That was […] only because of the exeptionally calm, polite abd understanding staff. Especially Tina who was working over night. I must have driven her nuts with all my calls - she was cool as a cucumber (I woulod not be honestly) and I arrived to a smile, coffee brewing and a relieving sense of peace. Dramatic sounding I know, but you just had to understand the trials & tribulations beforehand. I didnt crack under the ridiculous amount of pressure I had to address and still try to stay on task to get to the hotel/my 1st leg of trip, didn't well up a single tear or over-react to the small things.... bad drivers, wrong turns, annoying people.... nothing. I attribute this to a GREAT STAFF! Natalie, Tina, Dewayne and Ashley-THANK YOU! My ONLY regret was ny room.... it was PERFECT and by the time I arrived I only had time for a quick nap basically before I had to head out and get the trip back on schedule.... welllllllllllllll Lets say there was a "situation" 3 hours to Mississippi (leg 2). I am here, at Springhill Suites again tonight. I turned the "other cheek", left the ridiculous drama and just headed back here. BEST decision of the day. LONG over detailed review I know, but I had to give the back story of a typical MISERABLE day to truly let you know how professionally and genuinely kind the staff is as well as clean rooms, nice environment overall. We were absolutely delighted with this hotel. We were only there over night but will return whenever we are in the area.

I went for an all girls trip and loved the room. The beds were really comfy/cozy! I will stay here anytime. And not to far from the casinos/boardwalk! They only suprise was the depoist due at check in for online booking that must be paid but is refundable for not smoking in rooms! LOVED THE ROOM!!

A nice new hotel with upscale appointments and furnishings. We got about what was expected for the price. The one drawback is the resturants available. The choices are Harrah's Casino or a worse than normal Waffel House. We chose the casino and left feeling like we were keeping the staff from some very important business. The food was quite tasty. FACILITY WAS SO CLEAN,ACCOMMODATING,AND CONVENIENTLY LOCATED. NICE FITNESS ROOM AND BREAKFAST BAR WAS OUTSTANDING. DEFINITELY WILL RECOMMEND OR STAY THERE AGAIN ON NEXT TRIP TO SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER AREA.

I have never stayed in a hotel room so large!! I called my wife, I took pictures of it and measured it by walking the floor from wall to wall becase again, I had never seen a room so large. By the way I estmated it was roughly 600 square feet! It had a nice flat screen HD TV mounted on the wall, refrigerator, sitting area, work area and large bathroom […] with separate sink area. The staff was extremely friendly and always greeted me coming and going. The free continental breakfast had a good variety, was well stocked and also staffed with friendly workers. Regardless of my reason for staying in the Bossier/Shreveport area in the future, I will definitely stay at the Springhill Suites. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the area but never any better than this one. Yes, yes, yes, you will enjoy your stay here. Mehr
