For the price I was very disappointed in my stay. The desk staff wasn't very friendly, its the farthest hotel away from the convention center, and they didn't have free wi-fi. On top of that I was charged for 2 days of parking when I moved my car as soon as I found out what they were charging about 10 minutes after I checked in. The other staff I encountered […] however were very nice and the rooms were reasonably comfortable. That being said next year I will find a different hotel or just commute. Mehr

I was surprised to learn that I would be charged for WIFI per day !!! Also, I was not allowed to use the baggage conveyer without a hotel escort - which I was expected to tip. The temperature in the room could not be changed without notifying the desk. The refrigerator was filled with foods one had to pay for and left no room for anything I might have […] brought that needed cooling. When I added it in additional costs of WIFI, parking, etc - the resonable rate was not so reasonable. Having said that, my room was comfortable and the free shuttle to the airport and El line was great. Mehr

As usual this hotel is a great place to stay and it is convenient. But I should have learned my lesson the last time. The so called restaurant that they have is terrible. They failed on a breakfast buffet, why did I expect a good dinner. The stuffed mushrooms took forever to arrive and then they were hardly warm at all. The dinner took too long and […] we asked for it to go. But I forgot that there is no place to keep the food in my room over night. So I wasted over $60 on a semi warm appetizer and not even half a dinner that I had to throw away. Mehr

I chose the Intercontinental for our wedding night based on pictures on their website. Much to our surprise - the room was exactly as pictured and was the perfect back drop prior to our trip to Mexico the next day.

I liked my stay at This hotel, it was really nice kinda luxurious and well decorated. if you just plan to sleep and shower its good, however, don't open the fridge, don't take anything from the fridge, I think even the tv has a charge (kiddin) but that's how many litle charges they have for things. Oh and parking! $22 other than that good service, nice […] and clean. Mehr

I was very happy with my 1-night recent stay at the Hotel Intercontinental. I enjoyed the comfortable bed, excellent set up of the room, swanky cool toiletries, and the overall experience - great service. I'll definitely be back!

The cost to self park is $24. per day. To self park, really? And valet is $36. per day. The parking lot is dark and dank, not well lit. As a woman traveling alone, it would have been nice to have it better lit, especially with a 6am flight out of O'Hare.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous. Incredibly comfortable bed, walk in rainshower. Loved it.

Excellent hotel. I would stay here again in a second.

In town for a relatives funeral services. Exhausted. When I arrived at the hotel check-in desk, I was shuffled from person to person. Could not locate my prepaid reservation. Took the approx 30 min to discover their error. No concession offered. The next day I ask for a late check out and they extended it to 12:30p unless I signed up to receive their […] email updates. I did. Ordered a pasta dish through in room dining and while eating discovered a hair in my food. Called the in room manager who apologized and offered to send up another right away. It arrived 30 minutes later. In addition, for the inconvenience they offered me 2 cokes and sent 2 bottle waters. By this time I was completely annoyed at the length of time it took for my "new" meal to arrive I quickly lost my appetite and my appetite for staying at another Intercontinental Hotel anywhere in the country. Very poor customer service and I feel that my stay should have been complimentary based upon all of the inconveniences Mehr

The bathroom had a bulb out! The TV remote did not work i had to physically get off the bed to change channels and volume. FC

Needed a place near O'Hare for an early morning flight. Loved the bathrooms and the beautiful decor. Clean, quiet, nice bed. Convenient to quality restaurants! I would stay here again.

The nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. Clean and modern...near many venues in Rosemont. Great place that was priced right on the night we wanted it.

Hotel has a modern futuristic atmosphere, clean, comfortable. Nice lounge and gift shop. The restroom has a nice waterfall shower head and more than just shampoos and lotion for complimentary items. It was peaceful. I definitely enjoyed my stay.

The Hotel was awesome , room great the service out standing, the only thing that was wrong is that the next morning the smoke detector went off and woke me up , cuz someone was smoking in the garage. They just told me sorry . Thanks

Hello All, This is a review of the InterContinental @ O'Hare. It was very modern, very nice! Nice comfortable, or comfy bed, rooms were soundproof, I did not hear anyone (unlike some other hotel chains)! Also, the Bathroom was modern, with a rain shower and a bowl on a pedestal for washing your hands! It also had a minibar, but watch out! If you *touch* […] anything, i.e. - Pick Up, they will charge you for it! Just make sure to show the person that you only used the Gin, and not the Rum, Gin, Tequila, M&M's, 2 Diet Cokes, 1 Regular Coke, La Croix (YUK!), etc... What a great stay! I would highly recommend this establishment. Mehr

We used the hotel for a 1 night stay near O'hare airport. We booked literally 6 hours before the arrival at a rate that I can only describe as "dirt cheap." We've stayed at Intercontinental hotels around the world, and found this property to share the commitment to finery, however the overly-inflated cost of food and drink (no free bottled water), takes […] away from a feeling of pampering that one should expect from a luxe brand. All in all, we would stay here again. We'll just prepare for an additional $100 for some water, a burger, and a breakfast buffet. Mehr

The hotel is stunning and provides all the comforts needed while staying away from home and close to the airport... but, the fact that their wifi in the rooms is spotty is a huge downfall, especially if you are travelling for business. I adore the hotel, but may choose not to stay here because of the internet issues.

I would really recommend this hotel. It was clean and attractive. It had a nice little bar and two restaruants right out front that were top notch. The staff was beyond friendly. My room was great with a King bed, there was plenty of space. The price was reasonable, but not the cheapest; I didn't want the cheapest at the expense of quality and comfort, […] but that is just me. Mehr

When I arrived at the hotel, I specifically asked for a room that was quiet as I had been traveling for over 24 hours. I was assured all rooms were quiet. That is totally false. At approximately 10 that night a baby (infant) next door decided it wqas feeding time. That happened again at 1, 3 and 5. Then to make matters even worse, at 6 AM the child […] in the other adjoining room decided it was time to wake everyone up with screams and a 15 minute temper tantum complete with "Mommy I hate yous." When I called the front desk, I was told "we are a family hotel, you can't expect total quiet." That morning I again complained about my room and was told: "Next time ask for a corner room. Maybe you will get lucky!" There won't be a next time! Other than the close by restaurant, this was a terrible experience. Mehr

Stayed here for one night and I must say I was pleased with my stay, although there were some minor annoyances. The check-in was a breeze, in and out in less than 5 minutes. I stayed in a King Deluxe room. The room was VERY clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable and the nearby sofa was nice to have while watching the Bulls game. The bathroom […] was large and very modern. I did not like the shower since it only had a glass panel covering half the shower, so water would sometimes spray out on the bathroom floor. The annoyances: There was a fridge that contained all kinds of alcohol, soda & candy but it was not free and very expensive. A can of beer was $9 and if you picked it up and did not return it in 45 seconds it would charge your room for the item. Also, if you wanted the fridge emptied so you could store your own beverages there was a $30 fee to have the fridge deactivated and emptied. The is also a charge for internet access, I believe it was around $15 for a 24 hour pass. Parking was also a problem, costing $22 for overnight parking was excessive in my opinion. This is not downtown Chicago and parking is plentiful in the area. Overall the stay at the InterContinental O'Hare was enjoyable and quite relaxing, even with the minor annoyances. Mehr

The Intercontinental O'hare was a beautuful hotel. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was a King Deluxe and very roomy with great amenities. The only sub par areas were the bed itself, which is a thick pad on box springs. Soft at first, but after laying on it a while it was very uncomfortable. And the breakfast buffet hot food was […] old and tasted like it had been there a while. Next time I will check if they have better beds. Mehr

I was concerned about staying at a hotel that seemed more business-friendly; however, I can now say that this hotel was very family-friendly. It made our first trip back to Chicago with a baby very easy. The room was easily child-proof and very comfortable. We also liked how close we were to downtown and thought the rates were very reasonable.

I was in Chicago visiting my 23 yrs old son playing hockey for a week. If you want to have a short transit to airport and also to train in to downtown this is a good choice. Lobby area bright and very nice. The bed is cozy and the bathroom looks newly renovated. A special thanks to the very very nice and friendly staff in the buffet restaurant during […] breakfast.
