Holiday Inn Express & Suites West - Shreveport

We were in Shreveport for a volleyball tournament. Hotel was clean and comfortable and only about 5 miles from the convention center and boardwalk. The breakfast included in the price was great and the staff was great as well. Only think negative I could say was there was a musty smell in our room, but overall a good hotel for the money.

This motel is new & no complaints about it. Just don't ask the front desk about where to eat cajun or seafood or you will be directed to a small out of the way place down the street called Becca's that was average at best & overpriced for sure.Only 8 patrons there & talked with table next to us & they too had been sent there. Nice large room we were on top Floor and curtains didnt Close all the way. Our window faced the east so the sun woke us at 7 am The room was clean except for someone's pb crackers under the sitting room. Wouldn't stay there again but it served it's purpose

This hotel was really nice for being a pet-friendly place. There was even an area for my dog to stretch his legs and do his business. The rrom was very clean and spacious, and if there had ever been another dog in there, I couldn't tell.

Decent hotel, w good pool, but the bed was so firm, I couldn't sleep!

The room smelled like smoke. I was on a non smoking dloo. That's the only problem I had

Very nice room, clean hotel. The only problem that I found with the room was that it did not have black out drapes to cover the window. It only has a very thin white curtain that is almost see through. We would have liked to have slept in a little longer but the sun woke us up.

I travel to Shreveport on a monthly basis. I have stayed at different hotels each time I've been (for the past 6 months) and have never been satisfied....until now. This hotel was great! Snack upon check in, very clean, comfortable rooms, microwave and refrigerator, fresh cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. Great location, very close to highway. […] The breakfast buffet was much better than most included with you stay...included eggs, biscuits, and sausage. I will definitely be returning. Mehr

We were very, very...........you get the picture, pleased with this hotel. We had never stayed in a Holiday Express before and found it to be as nice and some instances better than the rooms at Sam's Town Shreveport where we had planned on staying. The rooms just the right size and the bathroom equipped with anything you might need. Plus, if you forgot […] your toothbrush they would GIVE you one. The HOT BUFFET BREAKFAST had a good selection and was cooked to perfection. I don't know if they were homemade biscuits, but they sure tasted like it. They also kept thing fresh until the after the 9:30 cut off time instead of letting things go stale. We will be staying there again. Mehr

The hotel employees were very nice, professional, and helpful. Yet my room smelled of smoke and animals. Unfortuantely, I was unable to get another room as the hotel was booked.

hard to find off the highway if coming from the east but once you get there, the rest of the stay is WONDERFUL. We had a Jr suite which was HUGE, comfortable and just what we needed after 5-6 hours on the road. There was nothing negative about the stay. Friendly, safe, clean and close to the highway but quiet.

It was nice to stay at a hotel that is furnished nicely, clean, and quiet, but that is still family friendly. We were comfortable walking around in very casual clothes, the kids in swimsuits. Cookies in the lobby 24/7 was a real treat for the kids! When my grandson ran in to tell the front desk clerk that there was a spider in the pool, she followed […] him out, grabbed a net, and fished that spider out, to the delight of the kids watching! The employees of the hotel were very nice and very helpful. The problem with the hotel was the neighborhood, there were homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks of the access road to the hotel.

There qwere homeless people laying on the side of the road by the motel. This was alarming, since the motel was not located in a very good place for security. This motel will not be a desired location for me to stay in the future.

What a nice place to stay! My husband and I were in town for a last-minute one-night stay, and reserved a room online the night before. The staff was extra friendly and helpful, and we were checked in and up to our room within 5 minutes of arriving. The room was one of the cleanest I've seen, and the decor was very tasteful. Granite & tiled bathroom, […] also very clean. Nice TV and sitting area. Wireless was very fast! :) We were in a hurry the morning of checkout, and left behind a jacket. My husband called the hotel two days later when we realized what we'd done, and the staff had already found the jacket and held it back for us! :) The front desk was extremely helpful, and from beginning of the trip to the end, we received the absolute BEST customer service. I have stayed at several area hotels while visiting family in Shreveport. This hotel is just a little more expensive, but was MUCH nicer than the others, with an excellent breakfast bar--well worth it, and we will stay here on all our future visits! :) Mehr

I don't like staying in hotels because most of them are not clean to my standards, but this Holiday Inn Express was very clean. The continental breakfast was ok. The staff at the desk was great, they were able to help me with directions. I'm sure I will be back in Shreveport again and I will definately stay at this hotel again.

Somehow I was put into a room for smokers. I do not smoke! All my clothes had to wash when I got ome because they smelled of smake. Other than that it was OK.

It was an extremely nice hotel. A relatively new construction so everything was neat and clean. It was a bit difficult to find due to road construction and a road block due to a car accident. Nevertheless, I will stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Great breakfast!

For the amount that was paid juxtaposed to the length of stay it was a fair price paid. Worth a visit.

We would highly recomened this hotel. The room was clean, roomy, and it had all the up to date accomidations such as HD flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave,and coffee maker. The bed was very comforatable. The hotel was very quiet at night. We stayed on the side adjacent to the highway an both of us did not hear any traffic noise. The breakfast brunch […] was outstanding. In the past few years, I had avoided Holiday Inns like the plague because of the inconsistency of hotel accommodations from city to city; especially in smaller cities. But because 94% of the reviewers recommended the place, I thought I'd give it a try - considering the other options available in Shreveport, LA. I was surprised and delighted: the decor […] was up-to-date with strikingly bold colors. The bathroom had granite(or possibly engineered stone) on the vanity and bathtub walls. The carpets were clean without any spots and there is a nice cubby in which to store personal toiletries. The selection of pillows - soft and firm -on the master bed is great allowing the lodger to choose their preference. The staff was knowledgeable about the area, extremely friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate - great coffee! These are fairly new hotels and I'll be looking for similar type Holiday Inn Expresses in the future. Great value for the money. Mehr

This hotel is perfect if you are traveling for business!

Me, my husband & our 13month old daughter went to shreveport/bossier memorial day weekend just to get away. we stayed at the holiday inn express & we were VERY impressed. the king size bed was very comfortable. we were just down the road from fast food resturants & didnt have to drive too long to get to bossier. we loved it! my husband & i are thinking […] about going back just the two of us in july for our anniversary & we will deffiniately stay here again. well worth the money.
