Our room was very smelly. I requested a non-smoking room, but none were available. It was horrible. Other than the smell, the stay was pretty nice.

We would stay again only ask for a top floor because of the noise above us. It was nice to be close to everything.

Front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and confortable. The kids loved the indoor pool, although the temperature was a little cold. Word of warning...keep track of what hotel items are in your room when you get there.

The pool was a little disappointing, but the staff was friendly and the breakfast was adequate. Would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Enjoyed the indoor pool. Only problem was that there was no decent restaurants near by other than fast food. It was very close to the Newport aquarium and that was a big plus.

This hotel has charged my bank account 3 x's. For my stay that was $280 turned into over $700 in charges. I called to get it fixed after the 2nd charge and they charged again instead of crediting it back. They do not seem to know what they are talking about. I am still waiting on these credits. This has caused my bank account to overdraft.

this hotel was in walking distance to the purple people bridge to Cinncinnati's downtown area and close to Newport Levee. Great location for the price. clean rooms and friendly staff. Parking was limitted. Drove to Greenup street in covington (5min drive) for brunch suday morning. alot of the bars server brunch and it was very nice.

We love staying at this hotel when we go to Newport. But, this time it was hard to sleep because people were slamming their doors until about 3am in the morning. We were switched from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor because we wanted a non-smoking room. Seems to be a disadvantage to being a non-smoker at this hotel since we couldn't get a room on a higher […] floor. On the other hand, the rooms are always clean, the staff is always friendly and the beds are very comfortable. We would stay again if we could get a room in a quieter location. Mehr

This hotel is in an excellent location that is safe and convenient. The Southgate tank shuttle is right across the street so you can go to Newport, Covington, and downtown Cincy for $1 per trip. It is also clean and comfy with a helpful staff. The only problem I have is for the price, I expect a little more. The hot breakfast was edible, but not great. […] Also, there should be a Restaraunt/bar and hot tub in this expensive of a hotel. The pool is tiny and only 5 feet deep but there were plenty of towels and it was never crowded when I went so that aspect was nice. Overall, I'd probably stay there again given the other choices in the area but they really need to add some features or reduce the price. Mehr

Everyone was so warm and friendly. My family and I had a wonderful stay!

I was pleasantly surprised by this property. All of the downtown Cincinnati hotels were booked, so I had to cross the river into Kentucky. I was initially concerned by the low star rating, but the room was nice and appeared to be quite clean. My only complaint would be that the sheets could have been more crisp. The sheets on my bed did not look dirty, […] but did look to be a bit worn, thin, wrinkled and ready to be replaced. I suppose one can't expect high thread count sheet at a 2 1/2 star hotel. The free breakfast was nice touch and was also better than expected. The drive downtown was short. In a pinch, it this place works. Mehr

I had reserved 3 rooms with two queen beds each, while checking in, the desk clerk informed me he only had 1 room with 2 beds and 2 rooms with 1 king, and that they would provide roll away beds for the other two rooms. I showed him my reservation confirmation, but he did NOT seem to interested. We had to settle for the roll aways.

Very nice, only issue was air conditioning dirty/musty.

Would be a little hard to find without a GPS unit but was clean and quiet. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

we chose this hotel because it was close to Great American BallPark, Cincinnati. lovely decor, free internet, fridge, microwave, flatscreen tv, good continental breakfast selections,pool, trolley ride $1.00 per person to area attractions is very convenient, we went on the Duck Tour (half land/half water) thanks to Robert L. for being a great check in […] host, gave us good directions and restaurant recommendations. our only complaint was that the walls are not soundproof as we could hear EVERYTHING from the room next to us. This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly, the entire structure clean, and the price reasonable.

very comfortable bed and pillows, clean, nice staff, nice pool, good breakfast but it was very easy to hear the neighbors and some of the floors creaked.

very clean..we were very impressed with everything..great location too..we recommend you to stay here

The "indoor" pool was so cold we couldn't use it with our 4 year old grandson. Also, the hotel was so poorly constructed that you could here noise from other rooms like they were in our room. The air conditioner/heater was very noisy. We would not go back to or recommend this hotel.

The hotel was all the I expected. The room was fine for sleeping and the breakfast was good. The breakfast woman, Shirley, was very nice. The pool left something to be desired and no hot tub, but it is an Express...

My husband and I stayed here when we came in for a Reds game. It was very cleanly. The beds were extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast area was clean and the food was filling. I would reccomend to anyone. I also will use the shuttle to the game the next time we stay.

My girlfriend and I arrrived on 7-31-10 and I was told Ineeded to pay for the room because hotels.com had not paid. One I became indignant manager advised they had had a problem with hotels.com paying and made a phone call and everything was straightended out. No apology was offered by management. If they kne they had been having a problem, I think […] before I was told my credit card was no good mangement should have checked. If I had been stupid enough to pay again she would have gladly taken money. Eventhough, hotel is very nice I would never stay there again because my check in process was very undesirable. We are two straight women but was given a room with one king bed and was told if we wanted a room with two queen beds we would have to pay more money. We opted to stay in the room with one bed. This hotel is in a great location and great value. I have no complaints except with the front desk greeter. He was not very friendly and he looked like he did not like his job. Overall the hotel experience was good.

The hotel was as expected. It is located very close to the riverfront. We could have walked everywhere, but it was super hot and we were at Kings Island one day so we opted to drive to dinner and Game Works. The beds were comfortable lots of extra pillows. The room had a refrigerator for our snacks/drinks. I would recommend this as a place to go if […] you are looking for closeness to the attractions. The indoor pool served our 8 and 9 year old well, but it was too cold for me. The complimentary cookies in the evening are a nice touch. Check in was easy, and we were upgraded with room at no charge

The housekeeping staff was excellant! The rooms were totally clean and neat. The breakfast bufft changed slightly from day to day which was nice. The breakfast food was very good. Nice weather and so much to do in th area that we never took the time to use the hotel pool. All of the staff we interacted with were very professional and polite.

Our hotel location was excellent, with access to an inexpensive shuttle that took us just about everywhere we wanted to go. The pool was really cold for being indoors, and there was no hot tub. Walls are very thin - we could hear the Jimmy Buffet fans clearly, very late at night. Also, at midnight one night another guest who had just checked in was […] trying to get into our room because the front desk told that it was their room. The front desk apologized for the mix up, and quieted the Buffet fans too. Overall not a bad stay. Mehr

Hotel was very nice and in a great location.

We got a late start on our trip and requested late check-in. We arrived past midnight and was greeted promptly and we were in our room within 5 minutes of arriving. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful,hot coffee and pastries and other items,a great selection.
