Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Wichita Airport - Wichita

We had a spider in our room on a Saturday and I called that day and they assured me that they would take care of it and have a manager call me back. No one ever called me so I e mailed the manager and was told by her that I would hear back on Tuesday after her meeting with her boss and still nothing. I e mailed again on Thursday and it's now Monday […] (a week later) and still no response. The man at the front desk told me that they were having "bug problems" and they were aware of it as they had several complaints that weekend. I would not recommend staying here. Mehr

Our stay was over night - pros include room and services were what I expected. Was to busy to take advantage of the spa, pool or hot tub but they WERE available. Cons the pillows were uncomfortable even though they has both soft and firm ones and I'm not used to Airplane noise. Actually uncomfortable pillows were the only major dissatisfaction.

Have stayed here before and would stay again. Convenient location for anyone going to the airport. We did use the shuttle service and the driver was courteous and helped us with our luggage. Overall great value.

Close to shopping and restaurants. Large breakfast room with good selection of breakfast items.

Overall this was a great hotel. Room was really clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was ok (some food was out and selection was limited in others). The only issue we encountered was the pool. We had specifically requested a hotel with a pool and breakfast as we were traveling with our 2 small children. Well apparently there was a softball/baseball […] tournement in town. When we went to go down to the pool around 8:30 pm we were told there was a problem with the pumps and that they were closing it. Upon looking into the pool room it was PACKED (probably around 40-45 people) which is more than their posted maxium capacity of the pool. They should have been keeping an eye on the capacity of the pool and therefore wouldn't have encountered any problems. They got he problem fixed by the morning (although the spa was still closed) and we decided to swim before we checked out. They had not replinished the towels since the night before and we went to the front desk to ask for more. 25-30 min later when we were ready to go back up to our room to pack they had still not brought any towels down to the pool. This experience would not keep me from staying there again because it was a good value (although I would look into the several other hotels around this area before staying at this one again) but I think the management needs to step up and take better control of their hotel and staff when they are busier than normal. The hotel and the room was very nice,clean, comfortable. We were fine with it but the beds are not meant for older people...you have to climb in because they are high up. My older parents would not have been able to get in bed wtihout a stepstool. The front desk told me when I checked in that there were 2 wedding parties staying there. There were many […] kids running the hallways and then sometime after midnight there were people having conversations and laughing outside our door. We didn't attempt breakfast there due to the crowd and noise level. The pool was wall to wall kids. On a quieter weekend perhaps the experience would have been better. Mehr

Was looking for a newer hotel close to the airport and major roads but less expensive and with breakfast. This one is it!

The hotel was clean, quiet and the front desk was nice and helpful.

Everything was excellent,including the service, the room and the breakfast. Everything was clean and very comfortable. We have family in the area and will stay again. I would highly recommend.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom (high praise from a germ-a-phobic). They really outdid themselves with the continental breakfast: In addition to the standard items(bagels, toast, jellies, coffee, juice, etc.) the staff added eggs, gravy, biscuits, sausage, bacon, several types of cold cereal […] and other food items you typically don't see or get with the traditional continental breakfast. The beverage bar was available around the clock for us hot tea drinkers. The staff was very courteous, and the customer service was outstanding! Would I stay here again or recommend it to other travelers? Based on my experience, Absolutely! Mehr

The window airconditioner could not cool the whole room. It was a warm day(91), but even the next morning the room was still warm despite max ac settings.
