Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Birmingham - Inverness - Birmingham

The hotel was clean and had a great staff. The breakfast did not have freah friut. The pancake waffle machine was new and unused. The hotel offered some cookies for the guest but the quality of the cookies could be better. They have an ice machine only on the first floor. The blinds in the windows do not allow the guest to close them fully.

i had two rooms reserved and both were supposed to have, per the specs in hotels.com, pull out sofas. only one did and it proved to be an inconvenice for my guests. but the hotel staff did everything they could to resolve the issue. the hotel was booked solid so there were few options.

Good breakfast. Clean room. The indoor pool was cold but the spa was nice.

I had a great stay at the hotel. It was clean, quiet and the hotel staff was very friendly, especially Randy. My only issue was the breakfast selection, it was very bland, but it was better than having to go out for breakfast everyday. Overall my stay was great and I would recommend it to anyone!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to others. The staff was warm and helpful and the entire hotel was very clean. I am very particular about what hotel I will stay in and am willing to pay extra for a good one. The hotel was top quality and the price was much lower than anticipated. Arrived early but the staff was able to accomodate me anyway. Staff was interested in my opinion and asked if all was OK. Can't say it felt like home but would be great place for the time when your not.

I am not sure about the previous reviews that stated things did not work. Our stay was awsome. No issues, internet worked,they even had a business room with a computer and printer. The pool and hot tub both worked. The service was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was very clean and comfortable. Upon arrival was told that the pool was under construction and would be closed, no further explanation given. It appeared to be in working condition just by looking. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken, had to go to the lobby for ice. Also two of the lamps in our room had no light bulbs in them. Was very close to the Sumit (a plus). The staff was very friendly. Will book again at this hotel.

The hotel was nice in every way, except the internet was not working all weekend long. I really was needing and looking forward to using it because I had things I needed to look at and then send emails with this info in it. I called the # of the provider several times that weekend and the desk of the hotel. When I got home I had to call my internet […] provider in order to try and be able to use my email service. They were able to fix it where I could receive emails, but not send them. I had to call Microsoft and they were finally able to fix it all. There is no telling how many hours I spent on trying to use my internet and then again at home to be able to use my email service again. I would very much appreciate some compensation for this. Mehr

The rooms were nice. The indoor pool was not heated and was very cold. It also did not smell very good. The spa was broken as well.

This hotel is an above average Holiday Inn Express The hotel location is good. Close to major shopping, but away from traffic headaches. The lobby, public areas and our room were are clean and well maintained. The breakfast selecting was good. The wireless Internet was good, we did end up having to re-sign in several times, but worked well. I had a […] problem with the hotel charging me (even though we booked on Hotels.com), but when I called the desk manager remembered me and issued an immediate credit. We would say here again. Mehr

We booked a room for two adults and two children, ages 5 years and 6 months. There was no crib available for the baby and no highchair available at breakfast

When needing accommodation in Birmingham, I always try and stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotless, the people who work there efficient and friendly and the beds are so comfortable. Microwave and mini-fridge make a difference, too. For the money you can't beat it.

we were on a christmas trip. i booked the hotel for the indoor pool. traveling with kids. it was a wonder place. everyone was happy. clean. had fun.

Very good stay. Clean & quiet. However, please get rid of those pillows!. A sack of feathers would be better. Otherwise, very nice experience.

On the first day, we got up to take showers and the water was cold. So we waited a few minutes and tried again and it was still cold. We called the front desk to possibly change to another suite and they didn't have any available. To accommodate our needs they allowed us to use another room to shower. The water was still cold and the tub stopped up […] with water. So we proceeded back to our suite and our card key wouldn't work. We asked housekeeping to let us in and she couldn't understand English literally. So back down to the front desk, needless to say it took a couple trios to the front desk to get the keys to work. The couple across the hall had the same water and key issues. We told management that we were very unhappy and they said they were not use to having these many people at the hotel, it was the magic city classic weekend and this was the 20th year event...excuse not accepted! So if you are staying at this hotel during a slow week go ahead, but if it's a big event or conference in town, stay somewhere else! Mehr

A pleasureable place to stay while visiting friends. The room was nice. The pool was great. The breakfast bar was also great. Good location. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall stay was good. Breakfast was pretty decent. Housekeeping didn't come back to clean our room which is the main complaint. Glad the price was discounted because I would have really had a problem with the hotel and room if I was paying full price.

Hotel was beautiful! We had 5 rooms reserved--all king size beds. Well, we got there early in day, well before checkin time. But, they accomadated all of us and upgraded us to Suites instead of the regular rooms as the Suites were ready and the regular rooms were not (3 out of 5 were upgraded)/ Rooms very clean, beds comfortable! The room was really nice. The continental breakfast was one of the best I have had. The indoor pool was perfect for a morning swim as well.

Surprising premium hotel features... express price. Pool Fitness Center Business Center. OK so the business center only had one computer but most people user their laptops in their room anyway. Very pleased with their aesthetic for a hotel in this price range. I even like the fact that it can't be easily seen from the main street.

very clean and spacious room with full quality continental breakfast. Would recommend highly.
