The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but I did have a few issues with the stay. First of all, there was no hot water. I called down to the front desk and she told me that sometimes, if no one has been running water on that side of the hotel, it can take a few minutes for the hot water to come in. I let it run for 15 minutes and still only […] had a lukewarm shower. I complained again and got no customer service or apology for the water issue. Secondly, when I reserved the room it said there was a free hot breakfast. However, all there was was a paid restaurant. No continental or free breakfast at all. Mehr

We really enjoyed this very clean hotel! Staff was friendly and we liked that it was pet friendly as well...

Fast check in. Right off highway. Cheap restaurant in hotel, POOL!, hot tub!! Near tons of fast food and gas stations. CLEAN! I will stop there again 100%

We thought we were booking a friendly hotel in a quiet location, as a center of operations for a quiet getaway weekend. The attitude of the few staff we actually saw, was very poor - the receptionist seemed upset that we had interrupted hr facebook session on the guest PC in the foyer! The in-house restaurant was only suitable for "there's nowhere else […] open" occasions, and room service was so limited as to be worthless. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The redeeming features of the weekend being the other places we visited and a very nice restaurant across the road. Oh, and breakfast at a well-known "country-style" eatery, also across the road. We will likely revisit the area, but never this hotel. In fact, I will be hesitant about another Holiday Inn given their cookie-cutter approach. Mehr

Great hotel. Staff was helpful and nice. Food was good and well priced at their restaurant. A great lay over spot!

We travel on I 95 from Pa. to Florida. This is the only hotel that is pet friendly . Very quiet rooms, and very clean. The furniture could be updated, but for one night stay, I would recommend this hotel. Nice eating places, like Wendy,s , McDonalds and others in the same area. I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 3 years. We use it when we are traveling between New England and Florida. It is a very clean hotel and is very conveniently located just off the highway. furniture is modern and comfortable. The hotel was sort of disappointing. It was mostly clean, but our room had a hole in the floor carpet, spots on the wall, and just in general looked poorly maintained. We stopped there while driving on I-95, and it looked like the best option we could find at the Santee exit. In the future, I would just keep on driving to a different exit.

We loved our room. I would rate this motel a 10 out of 10. We will stay here again when in Santee.

We had wonderful service. Check-in took about 1-2 minutes (very efficient) The room was very clean and spacious compared to other hotel rooms. I recently stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am glad I did not heed the other reviews about this hotel. While I normally stay at a 4 star hotel, Santee does not offer such accomodations. Holiday Inn is certainly the newest and nicest hotel of them all. Our only stop for the night from a long day of driving to Florida. Great spot!! just right off interstate 95.Walking distance to everything. McDonalds,Burger King,Waffle house,CVS Pharmacy,Gas stations. Parking lot is well lit, lobby is very clean & well maintained. The woman who checked us in is very friendly. They also have a restaurant located at […] the lobby it’s just unfortunate for us that they close early on that Sunday when we got there. Good size clean room for the money. Flat screen TV, Microwave, small Ref which is a plus when traveling with a 3 yr old son. Also on the floor we’re in…they have a washer & dryer. Scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest I rate the room an 8. Overall experience is a 9. Definitely I will stay there again & will highly recommend it to anyone of my friends & families. Mehr

OK road hotel, Seems to be aging fast, small LCD TV, NO free breakfast

The restaurant food needs work - steak ordered rare was delivered gray - so, too, with the salmon - over-cooked. But the staff is pleasant and the rooms are comfortable.
