Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay Hong Kong - Hongkong

Wir waren Anfang Juni 2010 zu dritt im Express By Holiday Inn. Wir hatten ein Doppelbett und ein Schlafsofa. Das Zimmer war schön und sauber. Das Badezimmer ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Jeden Tag wurden uns 3 gratis Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Badezimmertür verschließt entweder das gesamte Bad, oder auch nur das WC, was recht praktisch […] ist. Den einzigen Kritikpunkt den ich an dem Hotel habe ist, dass es im Bad keinen Stromstecker gibt. Nicht einmal einen für Rasierapparate. Der LAN-Internetanschluss funktionierte Problemlos. Ein Kabel war auch vorhanden. In der Lobby gibt es zusätzlich noch einen Raum mit 6 PCs mit Internetzugang sowie ein W-LAN um auch mit dem iPhone online gehen zu können. Im dritten Stock befindet sich der Frühstücksraum. Dieser gehört wie ich glaube nicht zum Hotel dazu, sondern ist ein eigenes Lokal. Beim Einchecken bekommt man Frühstücksmarken. Man hat die Auswahl zwischen 5 oder 6 Frühstücksets. Die Auswahl reicht von asiatisch über kontinental bis hin zu vegetarisch. Unser Favourite war: Toast mit Rührei, Speck, Kartoffelpuffer und kleinem Obstsalat. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt hinter dem Times-Square Shopping Center, nur wenige Schritte vom MTR-Eingang der Station Causeway Bay entfernt. Direkt neben dem Hotel gibt es eine gemütliche Cocktailbar (Belgo Bar). Das Personal ist freundlich und das Einchecken dauerte lediglich 3 Minuten. Das Auschecken sogar nur wenige Senkunden. Wir können das Hotel absolut empfehlen! Zentrale Lage, toller Preis, saubere und für asiatische Verhältnisse große Zimmer, im Preis inkludiertes Frühstück, nettes Personal, Internetzugang. Allgemein Ok. , Zimmer für Famillie ( 4 Personen ) zu klein.Japanisches Restaurant im Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Zugegeben.... die Lobby sieht etwas aus, als wäre man gerade am Ticketschalter im Bus Terminal angekommen, aber abgesehen davon war das Zimmer angemessen gross, mit 2 Betten, TV, LAN-Anschluss für den Laptop, Föhn. Zwei Flaschen Mineralwasser gabs gratis dazu, ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis für die zentrale Lage in Causeway Bay mit Shopping Möglichkeiten […] gleich um die Ecke oder im Gebäude gegenüber. Das Badezimmer bot etwas wenig Ablageflächen, und das Frühstück im Restaurant im 3. Stock hat einen auch nicht gerade aus den Socken gehauen, aber alles in allem empfehlenswert, wenn man nicht die hohen Preise in Hong Kong bezahlen will. Mehr

Smacked right next to Times square, shopping are everywhere. There is also one dessert stall at the hotel which I supposed is very popular. There are queues all the time! Room was in good condition, not much facilities but is sufficient to my needs. Mosy imptly, there are free wifi in the room. The fridge was cold, it freeze my can of beer. The hotel is at a great location for those who want to shop. Times square is across the street and so is the MTR station. Plenty of good places nearby to eat. 15 minutes walk to Star Ferry in Wan Chai. The dessert place at the hotel entrace is a must try. The breakfast at the hotel was quite decent and filling. The bathroom sink is a little ridiculous as mentioned by others, splashes water all around, the beds are not very comfortable. I was on the 18th floor which was non-smoking, very clean overall, no issues with noise from the street or elevators. The sofa bed was decently comfortable. The TV was outdated, no reason for them not to have a flatscreen. The room size was good for a HK hotel. Overall, a very pleasant stay, will stay there again for sure. Mehr

In general , it's nice hotel. Famous shopping site and restaunt are all in the walking distance. But the way to subway need to pass throgh a long pathway. Breakfat is a set meal not buffet.

Breakfast was all set menu If you don't eat pork there is not much for you Overall they are not flexible for late check-out for 4 extra hours they asked more than one day room rate Underground station is long walk away Polite service but you need to wait longtime to catch attention In the Cafe no waiter speak english

Great Location, Easily accessable

It was the Third Times i am staying in this Hotel. Service is good, staffs are friendly. Great Location. Only the Room and breakfast Area could Be nice if it is a Bit cleaner.

Right behind Times Square Mall, a very convenient location .

Overall experience was great, for the price that we paid it was worth it. Specially it has Free Wifi Internet access in the rooms and with Free Breakfast. Although breakfast menu have to be improve. Rooms are clean but it was quite small. Sofa Bed came in very handy. We requested for extra bed sheets and comforter for kids and they gladly sent it to […] our room. I stayed for one night and the hotel served its purpose. Nothing fancy but a clean room and a clean place to shower. The lobby makes it seem like you are in the middle of a shopping mall which is rather strange but all is the same beyond the lobby. They offer complimentary breakfast which I didn't get to take advantage of but it is a nice amenity.

Good hotel...nice location.....clean rooms. Remember to take the airport bus to the hotel and not the airport express.

This is a budget no frills hotel. No bar to relax in. The rooms are basic, the bed is hard. Free internet is good point.

Stayed during golden week with my 2 children. Great location close to great restaurants, shopping in Times Square and only 5 mins by can to Central. Comfortable/ functional rooms. Only downside: poor (free) breakfast and music in the corridor at 8:00am. We bought our (cold) breakfast from City Super the night before instead.

Fantastic location next to Time Square. A very good value business class hotel. Clean room and efficient reception. Our request for early check in at 7am was granted albeit with a smoking room. It's hardly a four star hotel but I thought the place was clean and comfortable. It had a small gym (treadmills) and was located in a nice area close to businesses and shopping.

I was impressed with this hotel. However, I did have to kill a few ants in the room. Times Square is directly across the street and has some of the best shopping in Hong Kong. A few of the restaurants are quite good too. Also, the MTR (subway) is close by, which is a definite convenience.

This hotel location is convenient with easy acess to both the local train stations and surrounding shoping districts however they would need to spruce up the room amenities that include better softer down pillows instead of the hard pillows and hard mattresses which through our frequent travels encounter this is the perfect conditiond for tourists from […] mainland China. Also the room where we were stayong had the lowest shower flow which is a disgrace. Mehr

Very disappointed with the room as it was very small & not well maintained. Pretty run down with no wifi access in the room, except cable. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in causeway bay.

we enjoyed the hotel, even though the room was very small. Breakfast every day at the 3rd floor was included in our package, and there were five interesting options, always served fresh. The location was great, just in the Tiimes Square area where everything is convenient, including access to the Metro

I had not stayed in this part of Hong Kong before, I prefer Central. But this is a great place for shopping as it is just across the street from Times Square and many shops along the street. Everything was perfect except the bed. It was Rock Hard. I would imagine this to be same Bed throughout all rooms. I could not sleep for 3 nights and was awake every other hour. I had to go for massage as I awoke with back and neck pain trying to sleep. In fact I went to the nearby Excelsior hotel for my massage 2 nights in a row and Upon my return […] I am still going for massages as I think due to the hard bed I have a pinched nerve. So its impossible to recommend the hotel unless you are ok sleeping on a bed that is as hard as a rock . Otherwise your entire well being is compromised with back.shoulder neck ache and tension headache arising from it. Mehr

The hotel is an excellent location very close to the MTR - Causebay Station and Times Square shopping Centre. The Hotel is excellent for a short stay, we stayed for 3 nights and found the room prefectly acceptable for that sort of duration despite having two small children under 3. The baby cot (wooden) and mattress provided was of excellent quality […] and was perfect for our 8 months baby. The only real criticism was the lack of hanging space in the closet and lack of drawer space to store clothes. The complimentary breakfast in the restaurant was basic but the service and food was ok. A choice of 5 set meals with the option of extra items off the a la carte menu at a cost, although getting them to boil baby rice for us proved to be a little out of their depth. Mehr

If you like shopping at Causeway Bay, then this is THE hotel for you. It's right smack across Times Square and a stone's throw from Sogo. However the MTR station is a tad far away. Overall a highly pleasant stay. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are decent with a nice shower!

One of the few best priced best service hotels in hongkong causeway bay. Near the shopping area. Times square and sogo dept store a 5min walk to the subway. Just tell them to make the aircon a little bit colder.

Overall the location is very good. Just next to Times Square. But price is also too high, especially the room is only Home Inn standard in Shanghai.

This hotel is in a great location, near to Times Square in Causeway Bay. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The hotel is patently inoffensive. Room was clean enough, bed okay, breakfast sufficient. Nothing to get excited about, although perfectly reliable nonetheless.

location was near shopping and train service. No help at hotel for tours, places to see, or eat. lobby very small,no meeting room unless you pay and reserve. There were 5 couples and we could not meet anyplace in hotel. Convention going on and hotel was very busy.

If you are a tourist with family, friends, etc OR a business traveler, then this is the perfect hotel for you. I do not want to spend time on how satisfied i was during my stay. Instead, i would just say that once you stay here you will definitely give a 5 star rating.

Overall a pleasant stay. Staff was corteous and efficient. Generous with complimentary bottled water and additional room amenities like extra towels. Good location. Good enough breakfast. This hotel is right next to Times Square and is a short walk to Sogo but the MTR station is soooo far away. It took us about 10 mins and a walk through a mall and several tunnels to finally reach the MTR. It would be better to just take a cab to your destination. I liked that we were given bottled water every day but the room is really small, just enough […] for 2 adults and maybe 1 child. The hotel is situated right across the street from the causeway MTR station. Close to the shopping area also. Beds are comfortable. They were very accomodating to let us check out at 2 p.m. as our flight was around 7 p.m.
