Hotel Chopin Prague - Prag

Das Hotel liegt günstig zur Altstadt Stare Mesto, befindet sich selbst jedoch in der Neustadt, vom Bahnhof aus ideal zu erreichen, da nur durch einen Grünstreifen getrennt. Beim Unterstellen eines Autos im Innenhof geht es aber eng zu und es kostet € 18/Tag zusätzlich; scheint aber im Vergleich eher günstig zu sein. Der Frühstücksraum ist nett und das […] Frühstück reichhaltig - inkl. einer Art English Breakfast mit Rührei und Wiener Würstchen. Satelliten-TV ist zwar vorhanden, doch nur mit neun Sendern, darunter vier tschechischen, einem deutschen (RTL) und BBC. Ergiebiger ist die Frühstückszeitung (1 Seite) in deutsch, englisch und französisch. Eine Wetterseite wird täglich frisch aus dem PC beim Portier aufgestellt. Unser Zimmer war - wie üblich - kleiner als auf den Bilderm dargestellt, doch durchaus ausreichend. Nur hatte ich nicht aufgepasst, dass statt eines Schrankes nur acht Kleiderbügel an der designerisch gelungenen Garderobe herumhingen und die wenigen Fächer daran nicht dazu geeignet erschienen und dazu einluden, den Koffer überhaupt auszupacken. Wir bedienten uns also aus dem Gepäck. Das Bett war angenehm - nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Die Doppelfenster schlossen dicht und ebenso die Vorhänge. Die Nasszelle ist schön gestaltet und ausreichend groß; die Lüftung funktionierte super und ebenso die Dusche. Dazu gab es beim Waschbecken und in der Dusche je einen gut gefüllten Seifenspender, deren Inhalt nach Limonen duftete. Insgesamt eine nicht ganz billige, aber angesichts der Lage, der Sauberkeit und des Services angemessenes Hotel, an dem man sich einige kleine Verbesserungen vorstellen könnte (z.B. einen kleinen Kühlschrank für Getränke, einige größere Fächer für Kleidung, einige Haken mehr im Bad für Handtücher), das aber für einen Kurzurlaub zu zweit gut - und für Geschäftsreisende sehr gut geeignet ist. Staff was super friendly - early checkin late checkout, we needed to leave really early in one morning and they we're willing to organize us a breakfast baggies. Staff replied to my email inquiries in few minutes. One of the best hotels I've evenr been in. Cannot understand why this is only a 3 star joint. The most good thing of this hotel is it's location. It takes just 30 seconds from the main gate of the central station in praha.

The hotel has very good location, within walking distance of the old city center. It's also very close to the train station (1 minute walk). Excellent location,across the street from the main staion,1-2 minutes walk.Room was clean and comfy.My room was facing the street/station but there was no noise at all as there were double windows.The comlimentary tea/coffee maker was a nice touch.Unfortunately the hotel staff didn't care about the service quality. The Hotel is just opposite the train station which is very convient as we arrived by train. Walking distance to old town. Room is very clean, comfortable, free internet, coffee making facilities which is really good especially during cold weather. Reasonable rates with breakfast. Highly recommended.

Nice, safe street parking available which is a plus in Prague. Nice alternative to staying in more expensive hotels directly in the center of the square and old city. Very satisfied.

Extremely happy with this choice. Great location opposite the main station - great for trian or airport connections. This hotel was clean, the staff very helpful and I loved having free Wifi in my room. I loved being so close to the main train station since I had to take a train to Vienna. We stayed a few nights on our honey moon and were extremely impressed. Very modern and spacious, clean and quiet rooms. Fantastic staff who speak English well. Good breakfasts. Stay here!

Great hotel conveniently located across the street from train station and within walking distance to city attractions. Small breakfast selection but at great room rate, can go out and get larger lunch.

We picked this hotel based on the proximity to the main sights, value for money and style of rooms and we were not disappointed. The hotel is located right next to the main train station (which was brilliant as the airport bus arrives and departs from there) in a nice quiet location close to Wenceslas Square and a short walk from the Old Town, Jewish […] Quarter and river. The rooms are bright, spacious and modern and have air conditioning which was great as it was really hot when we visited. The hotel was spotless and tea/coffee, towels, soap etc were replaced each day. A mini-fridge and a safe in the room would've been handy but there is a safe at reception if required. There is also a computer in the lobby area which was handy for booking tours etc plus there is free Wi-fi. The breakfast wasn't really to my taste as it was more a continental style but there was a good choice nonetheless. The staff were always friendly and helpful and allowed us to store our luggage after checking out as our flight wasn't until later that evening. All in all I would highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Chopin and would stay there again if visiting Prague. Mehr

The hotel was around 100m behind the main train station (Hlavni Nadrazi). Great location. Streets were safe and mostly quiet (a few shouts from the passerbys now & then). Room (first visit) was very spacious. Elevator , lighting and furniture modern and clean. Sheets and furnishings were very nice and of high thread count. Everything was spotless. A good hotel, conveniently located, with all the confort you need, including High Speed Wifi in the room. The breakfast was ok. I stayed at the hotel for three nights. Even my visit was short I had a very pleasent stay. The hotel has a good location and it's close to the city centre. Breakfast has a various selection of food. At the night time is very quiet which was the bonus. Overall I would recommend to a friend and I would stay there again.

When we arrived at about midnite, they had no room nor reservation on file for us. So we showed them our hotels.com reservation and waited. Eventually the room clerk confirmed everything was actually correct and he found us a room at a 5-star hotel in the neighborhood, pulled some of our luggage into a pouring rain, stored the rest, and personally took […] us the three blocks to a much nicer hotel, stayed with us while we got checked in, All at no additional charge. Hotel Chopin is a wonderful hotel. Very clean, well qppointed rooms, close to the main railway station. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

In 2011, we spend a long easter weekend (5 nights) with the family (parents and children of 9 and 11) in a family room at Chopin Prague. Our fears of a too small room for 4 were not at all confirmed, the room was nicely chosen and had enough space. The children were place on an extra double couch. The bath was very clean. Although going to the front, […] the room was well quite thanks to its double windows. In our map, the Chopin hotel was marked as an Express Holiday Inn, so it has quite some heritage to defend. The overall impression was very good: clean ambience, friendly and helpful staff. We found the 3-star rating to be even a bit of understatement. The breakfast was good (orange juice, cafe or hot chocolate, selection of bread and jams, sometime scrambled eggs). Free wifi internet in rooms, free PC at reception. Sometimes the hotel can be quite busy when larger groups of visitor (e.g. school classes) arrive or leave. Only 2 german TV channels. The Chopin hotel is placed in front of the main station, only separated by a little (and not very nice) park. But that's not the Hotel's fault. If you exit the hotel straight to the right, you arrive at the National Museum and Wenzel's place in less than 5 minutes time. Try the excellent and cheap pizza down in the subway station. If you turn right at the exit and go down by the Jerusalem synagoge, you arrive at the famous powder tower and the Place of the Republic in less than 10 minutes. From there, you can cross all of the famous old townof Prague towards Charles Bridge in 15 minutes. In summary: there's no way you'll find another such a good hotel so close to the center of Prague at that price. Mehr

Using the overnight train from Krakow made the Chopin's location ideal for me. Just a short walk across the park fronting the train station and then across the street, and I was there. Walking to the main square was a good jaunt but doable for me. Hotel was especially good about accommodating my emailed request for early check-in and did it without […] extra charge. I am most grateful for that. However, a request for late check-out received the opposite response....they quoted a fee for the extra hours that exceeded the full daily rate that I paid through hotel.com. (I checked out on time instead and appreciated their storing my bag in the meantime.) I used the hotel's recommended tour service and that was a mistake; the tour was mediocre as well as too expensive for what one received. Breakfast was included in my room price and it was a typical European one; not my favorite (I prefer more fruit) but certainly more than adequate. Chopin and other hotels have gone bare-bones with the HBA items they supply at the same time that airline fees and security requirements have made packing these items more difficult for the traveling consumer. Wish someone would think about OUR comfort and convenience. I don't mind being careful about linen and towel reuse but really miss items such as conditioner and body lotion. It's very hard to pack enough of everything for a trip in a 1-qt plastic bag (at least for this woman). All-in-all, I'd certainly use Hotel Chopin Prague again. Mehr

Perfect for our late arrival from NY in Prague as we had to head out by train early the next day. Reasonably priced with online reservation but a lot extra if you walk in without a reservation. Internet access by wi-fi and lobby computer, decent buffet breakfast included. Very quiet comfortable room even though on a busy street. Ask for room on the […] side rather than main street high up if you like quiet. Main train station right across the street makes this a perfect location if you need to travel by train. Except for Wenceslaus Square, it's not that close to the main sights of Prague (Charles Bridge, river) but if you don't mind walking it's a good place. Mehr

The hotel was very close to the train station. It is comforting if you are just getting off the train. Rooms are very clean and service is good. The hotel is not walking distance from the old town and there is a need to take taxi. The taxi service that hotel uses cost twice as much as the city's yellow cab. This really was one of the nicest city hotels we've stayed in. Clean, convenient and friendly. The breakfast, although continental, did include cooked eggs and sausages and all the produce was fresh. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in Prague early October 2009. The hotel is near the main train station, which was convenient upon our arrival from Munich via train. Our room was on the top floor with a very small window. After two hot nights, we requested a room change and were granted one. Our new room was on the third floor with two large windows and a view […] of the street. We loved our new room. It truly helped make our stay more comfortable. We had a little street noise with the windows open, but nothing that kept us from sleeping well. A buffet breakfast was included with our room. As far as location, Hotel Chopin is about a 15-minute walk from the main square. There are plenty of sights to enjoy along the walk, so we never took city transportation. Mehr

Small, modern hotel in a good location c 5 mins from Wenceslas Square. Rooms are clean and comfortable with satellite tv, aircon and shower gel & soaps provided. No street noise despite being on a busy road. Smallish breakfast lounge which can get busy but a good range of food. Free internet in the lobby. Within walking distances of all the tourist […] sites, but some may prefer to take the tram, particularly to go to Prague Castle which is also uphill. Good local restaurants and shops nearby for buying water and snacks. Good local market and interesting stalls on Charles Bridge. Visit the TV tower for somewhere different - you can see it from the hotel (with the babies climbing up it!). 30 mins walk or take the metro. Try the local reatuarants in the streets up to the castle - good value. Watch out for 10% service being added to the bill, or not getting a bill at all, just told what the cost is. Excellent location, especially for a short stay if you don't want to carry your luggage far from train station (airport shuttle stop is also there). Bright, spacious and cosy room. The only thing I had a problem with was they lock the main door after midnight and they do not have a buzzer. The desk clerk has to come all the way around to let you in. Rooms are equipped with keycards----why could the front door not have this? The daytime clerks were very helpful, but not the late night clerks. They acted like they did not want to […] be there. 初日に一泊した部屋がナント！鍵のオートロックが壊れていて(出かけている間も侵入できる状態)ホテルに戻った際に部屋を交換になった。それ以外は冷蔵庫がない事を除けばスタッフも親切だし清潔だし、鍵の件がイレギュラーだったと思えばまた宿泊したいです。

Veldig bra hotell med nærhet til det meste. Hotellet er ganske nytt og har god standard. Kan sammenlignes med et firestjernershotell. Stort pluss for gratis wifi på rommet. Grei frokost og hyggelig betjening. Anbefales.

proche de la gare centrale et de la place venceslas, l'hôtel chopin est un hotel tout à fait correct avec des chambres modernes, manquant toutefois un peu de charme. Le service est très disponible.

Wij zijn net terug van een paar dagen Praag. We waren erg blij met ons hotel. Het ligt recht naast een groot metrostation en het is nog geen 10 minuten lopen naar het centrum en bezienswaardigheden zoals de Karlsbrug. Wat wij vooral erg fijn vonden was dat je van 7 t/m 10.30u kon ontbijten, waardoor je zelf kon kiezen hoe laat je op wilde staan. Wij […] hadden een vroege vlucht en konden gewoon om half 6 's ochtends uitchecken, dat was erg fijn. De servicedesk is dus 24/7 bemand en er is 's nachts ook bewaking. Tot slot hadden we een fijne, ruime en schone kamer, heerlijk! Al met al; een aanrader! Mehr

Hôtel très pratique, face à la gare centrale (hlavní nádraží), à 5 min des 'Champs Elysées' Pragois (Václavské náměstí). Personnel très serviable, possibilité de réserver des spectacles directement à l'accueil. Le dernier jour on a pu leur laisser nos bagages quelques heures dans une pièce à part le temps de refaire un tour avant de partir. El hotel esta exactamente frente a la puerta de la estación de tren, y es una extraordinaria opción para la gente que va a estar solo un par de dias en Praga ya que en 20 min puedes salir del tren, dejar tu maleta y comenzar a recorrer la ciudad la gente de recepción muy amable y servicial. El desayuno cumple.

dejligt hotel ligger meget findt ca 15 gang til den gamle by, 2 min gang til bånegården hvor metro og sporvogn køre fra. mangler dog en mini bar på værelset, samt lidt merer skabsplads. personalet er er uderst hjælpsom. så det var et par dejlige dage i Prag. kommer gerne igen

Tämä hotelli sopi skandinaaviseen tyyliin: siisti, valoisa ja toimiva. Aamupala oli monipuolinen ja palvelu hyvää. Kylpyhuoneen suihku oli ihanan tilava. Kaikin puolin hyvä valinta. Menisin uudelleen.

Vlakbij het centrum gelegen (Wenceslasplein) is het hotel een prima uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van het oude Praag. Als je een beetje sportief bent aangelegd zijn alle belangrijke locaties lopend te bereiken. Er zijn ook een hoop betaalbare restaurants in de nabije omgeving. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijtbuffet is niet zo […] uitbundig als in een vijfsterren hotel maar er is meer dan genoeg keuze voor de doorsnee reiziger. Overigens vind ik Praag als stad een aanrader, vooral voor diegene die van architectuur houdt. Mehr
