Crowne Plaza Malpensa Airport - Somma Lombardo

This hotel was comfortable and has convenient access to the airport and train system. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to the airport where you can catch a train or bus to Milan central and therefore catch a train to other parts of Italy. The problem that we had was that Hotels.com list luggage storage as one of the amenities of this hotel […] but when we asked at the hotel, one person said it was okay and the next day when we were ready to leave the hotel for 3 days and store our luggage, the manager said that they do not and would not store luggage. We ended up having to take our luggage to the airport and pay for storage for the 3 days and pick up our luggage before we returned to the hotel for our last night before leaving Italy. Mehr

In a hidden place, so if you arrive with a rented car as we did, be prepared to get lost several times before arriving to the hotel. Likewise, leaving the Hotel towards the Airport. Restaurant closes early. Breakfast is nothing special.

This is a satisfactory airport hotel of four-star standard. The major drawback to this hotel is the inconvenient shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. It is impossible to simply take a taxi from the airport; taxis refuse to do the trip and make you take the shuttle bus. This bus comes every half hour (if you are lucky) and stops at one other […] hotel before the Crowne Plaza. So a five minute cab ride can turn into 45 minutes. The same arrangement applies for the return trip from the hotel to the airport. The shuttle is free (you get what you pay for). For this reason I cannot recommend the hotel. Mehr

The Crown Plaza was a nice place to stay. The staff was helpful and spoke English. The rooms were of the quality one would expect in a US hotel catering to business travelers. They had connecting rooms for families. Breakfast can be included and is quite extensive. One criticism was the quality and cost of the dinner menu in the restaurant.

There's only two hotels closer one of which is AT Malpensa. Very clean, good service and shuttle to the airport comes every 30 minutes.

We were very upset that you did not tell us where to pick up the shuttle at the airport. We wasted an hour trrying to find it. When we left we waited on the bus for a half hour before it left the hotel. The bus driver was not helpful and was surly. We expected the hotel to be on a par with the Crowne Plaza in Hilton Head and it did not compare favorably […] in any way. We would never stay with you again. Gail Haller Mehr

If you plan to stay overnight near Malpensa before a flight - this place is solid, clean, with lots of english language TV channels. The restaurant is decent too.

Airport shuttle is a big plus

Was a nice hotel with a great location as far as the airport was concerned, but in hindsight, since we were only staying there the night before we left for a trip, I would have stayed somewhere cheaper. Its the type of hotel that should be stayed in for an extended period of time, and wasn't worth it considering the price.

Very close to the airport, but a little difficult to find. The rooms were outstanding;clean and very modern

The Crowne Plaza Malpensa is quite nice for an airport hotel: fairly comfy beds, a patio where you can eat breakfast, responsive service. Malpensa is 40 minutes from the center of Milan, so this hotel isn't where you'd want to make a long stay if you're planning on being in the city, but if you want to be handy to the airport during a stopover or for […] an early morning flight, this hotel is a good choice. It's not full of local charm and character, but it's clean, quiet, and reasonably pleasant, and has various amenities (sauna, fitness center) if you've got time to use them. Unfortunately, their shuttle to and from the airport stops running at midnight, so we were forced to take a taxi when we arrived, which costs a flat rate of 15 Euros even though the hotel's only one kilometer from the airport. Their shuttle starts running again around 6:30 or 7:00 AM, and leaves for the airport every half hour. Our morning trip back to the airport was on time and speedy. The first room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but when we complained we were instantly and politely given a new and clean-smelling room. I'd say that overall the interaction spoke well for the hotel. As with many corporate hotels in Europe, there's wireless internet available for a rather high fee. I would recommend the hotel only if you have an early flight the next morning. There is not much in the neighborhood and you are effectively trapped on site. This clearly works best as a pilots/stewardess crash pad, and is not well suited for visiting the city.

Luego de malas experiencias en otras ciudades europeas, temia que este hotel me decepcionaria. Sin embargo, no fue asi. El servicio de transporte entre la terminal y el hotel sale cada media hora y es confiable; el hotel es nuevo y las instalaciones muy bien; la habitacion limpia, muy comoda y con algunos lujos. Mas cercano a los estandares de un hotel […] de aeropuerto en EEUU que en Europa. Su unico problema es que no hay casi nada cerca: caminando solo se puede llegar a dos restaurantes regulares, y al aeropuerto solo se puede llegar tomando el servicio de transporte del hotel. Por lo tanto, si se desea ir a Milan, no es lo mas conveniente. Pero si se espera simplemente descansar en alguna parte antes o despues de un vuelo largo, es ideal. Mehr
