"Not far from the "Middle of Nowhere""
The facility was in a state of reconditioning and remodeling, but the room we stayed in was comfortable and quiet. At first, we thought the place was in the "middle of nowhere" because it is perched at the top of a very steep hill, with very little around it. As we discovered later, it is near an interstate highway and near to several major distribution […] centers. "Clean, Comfortable Room."
The hotel didn't have any extraordinary qualities, but was clean and suited our needs for one night just fine. There is nothing at all around the hotel, in terms of food, a drugstore, ect., so that's slightly inconvenient, but in terms of our actual stay, the room was up to par. One of the drawers in in our dresser was a bit broken, but nothing to fret […] over. The bathroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything worked as it should. "Exceeded my expectations"
If you have ever visited this area, you know that it is firmly locked into the early 50's. As others have mentioned, the hotel location is in an industrial park in the middle of nowhere. "disappointing stay"
I have been staying at this hotel for 4 to 7 times a year for 5 years and have looked forward to my stays. But last 2 visits have not been good. Both times the pool was too cold to use & the jacuzzi was filthy, green water & a lot of dirt floating on the bottom. The linens smelled stale & there was a rim of mold in the bathroom sink. the exit door on […] the first floor would not close & the wind kept blowing the door open throughout the weekend. The coffee bar was nice but the breakfasts have been better. For the money it is a poor value. I have noticed the staff has changed. It is sad to see this place go downhill. In the past I have been very happy with this hotel but 2 consecutive bad experiences have soured me. Mehr
"nice stay"
The only thing we didn't like its that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom......other than that it was great & we will return! The beds were very comfortable & the staff was great!!

"pottsville country inn"
I have stayed at many hotels in my day this place was great times ten. service, staff, breakfast all wonderful
"a quiet place with a beautiful view"
I like the location of this hotel, it may be a little out of the way but the view is beautiful and it is restful. I saw employees painting and the exercise room has new equipment, the breakfast was very good. this place is very cozy and the staff is very hospitable.
I spent one evening in the hotel. It is one of the best hotels in the area. It is fairly new and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a small exercise room with new equipment and a simple swimming pool. It is right off the highway, but a little tricky to find using my GPS. I would recommend it for future visitors.

"Do not allow smoking near the entrance"
People who gather to smoke at the front entrance do so loudly and without concern for the pollution of the air and the disturbing noises for those who occupy rooms at the front of the building. Smoking needs to be prevented near any entrance and away from sleeping quarters. The hotel is pricey enough to have better quality eggs and bacon.

"Customer Service?"
The customer service was not very good. On my recent stay August 31, 2011, in the afternoon (around 4 pm), there was a male desk clerk who was deliberately rude and obnoxious. The bed linens had a definite odor, especially the pillows. I would not stay at this hotel again.
"Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere"
I was surprised that this hotel was in the middle of nowhere. The address was Pottsville, but it is not in the city. My GPS couldn't find this hotel, fortunately I did find it on my own. The staff was very friendly and although there is no restaurant, the clerk was able to recommend a good restaurant 5 miles away that offers a discount to the hotel's […] guests. "not gps friendly"
this hotel was not gps friendly and we had to call them (thank god we had the number) for directions. You would think that when you book the hotel someone would mention that so you could print directions on how to get there instead of driving around in circles.

The indoor pool and surroundings were a perfect temperature and very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast provided.
"Nice Place"
Stayed two nights. Comfortable, quiet, good breakfast. Only down side is the choices for dinner restaurants is rather limited, but the hotel does give good directions to those that are available.
"Perfect for us"
We wanted a quiet, clean hotel close to knoebel's and cabela's. This hotel was perfect for us. It is off by itself, but that was a plus for us. The staff was very friendly.
Much nicer than your average inexpensive hotel. A pleasant surprise. Local restaurants not far but not that easy to find. If you have a GPS your are golden.
"The Country Inn was a gem in an other wise"
industrial area. The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to giving us directions to resturants and the Yuengling Brewery (our reason for spending the night). Unfortunetly the resturant that was recommended and came with a discount as we were staying at the inn was nothing more then a local diner. "Graet Hotel and Pool"
We stayed here over the 4th of july weekend and it was great. the pool and hot tub were great after a long day at kneobels. Will stay here next year.
The hotel is off the beaten path but easy enough to find. The rooms were very clean and fresh. The beds were very comfortable and the price was right. breakfast was alright, we arrived as everything was running out and the staff was restocking. overall a great place to stay.

This motel is well kept, and tastefully furnished. The staff is totally accomodating. The mountainous surroundings are quite lovely. Breakfast offers a variety.

The hotel was clean & comfortable. The downside was the only two restaurants nearby are a McDonald's and a Cracker Barrel. Not a problem unless you are here for a long stay. There is a nearby local bar with great burgers. The front desk can direct you.

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon but there was no honeymoon suite. We didn't get any congratulations or comments from the hotel staff. We were expecting more of an exotic experience but it was an average hotel stay. Wouldn't recommend a stay here for a romantic getaway.
Great hotel, especially for the price. Clean, safe, comfortable, friendly staff. Saw a few ants in the room, just two or three. Will stay there again next time I'm driving through.

"New hotel in isolated location"
While the building is relatively new my room showed signs of water damage around the windows from water penetrating the exterior walls. There was also damage and peeling paint in the bathroom either from steam or an overflow from the room above. The best part of the stay was the bed - heavenly. A nice quiet place to rest on a trip. far from noise and traffic. however on weekends this place usually is packed. on Sunday I arrived at breakfast after 9 & the place was packed and there was slim pickins. i always enjoy my stay here & the staff is grrrrrreat. "Location can be hard to find"
Difficult to find location by gps. It is in a very isolation and our gps led us to an empty road. I had to phone the hotel for clearer directions. They said our situation is common for their address.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for five nights while visiting our daughter. The staff was very friendly, and our room was very clean and comfortable. We will definitley stay there again.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We have stayed there about 4 times in the past 5 yrs. Rooms are large and have comfortable beds. Breakfast is a cut above most.

"Country in Frackville"
While this hotel was a little out of the way for my destination- Pottsville, I chose to stay here because it looked like the nicest hotel and at reasonable rates. I was not disappointed- everything was perfect. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

"Great 10 day stay"
This Hotel was recommended to me and I had a very nice stay. I only have 2 issues during my 10 night stay. First, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Second, about 5 days into my stay they performed maintenance of some sort on the AC/Heating system which was working perfectly. After the maintenance it ran constantly and had to be shut off manually […] when it got too hot. I reported it to the front desk but no one ever came to look at it. It made for a less than comfortable last 3 days of our visit. Mehr
