The Bel Sito was a great place to stay while we were in Venice. It is located approximately 1 block from a vaporetto (water bus) stop on the Grand Canal and is a short walk from Piazza San Marco. We were also able to easily walk to the Rialto Bridge. The hotel is decorated in an old-fashioned European style (e.g., textured and patterned wallpaper and […] a small chandelier in our room). We did not see an elevator but the hotel staff carried all of our bags upstairs to our room for us. The continental breakfast each morning had more than enough options to satisfy us. My only complaint was that the air conditioner in our room was pretty weak, so the room remained fairly warm. Mehr

Most importantly this little hotel feels delightfully "Venice". Its simple, pleasantly furnished, comfortable. clean with period decorations and open the window for a view to the church opposite, to die for! It literally takes your breath away! Consierge really helpful recommending little local restaurants away from the tourist beat and had wonderful […] meals in two local places. We had two adjoining single rooms right at the top of the hotel and really enjoyed it. Convenient to all locations, square-side cafe and excellent breakfast, particularly the coffee! I loved it. My wife and I stayed there and on the first nite were in a room big enough for midgets. They transferred us to a different room the next nite. Location was good, but we had difficulty with a heated room and when I asked for A/C, was told it is not turned on until June. Opening the windows not an option as there was considerable traffic in front of […] the room. This is a good European type hotel for many, but not for us. Next time we shall book through an american hotel chain, as then we may have a little leverage---at Bel Sito--they weren't too concerned of our opinion. TED Mehr

It was located in a cute little piazza. Lucky for us, it was located in an area that did not get flooded. Many parts of Venice were flooded around noon the two days we were there but our hotel and surrounding area was safe and we were dry.

This hotel is ideal for anyone wanting to stay near St Mark's Square. From Treviso Airport, you need to allow for a 1hr coach ride to Piazzale Roma Station, then a 40 min water bus ride to the hotel. Santa Maria del Giglio Water Bus Stop (Line No.1) is only 2 mins from the hotel and hotel is walking distance to St Mark's Square. The hotel itself is […] not very big (probably 3 star). However, it was clean but the rooms were small. Although the bathroom was clean and tidy, the bath itself was hideous - so tiny, you could just about stand in and shower. Breakfast was good - croissants, ham cheese, bread rolls, boiled egg, fruit and yoghurt. You should bear in mind that St Mark's Square is to one side of San Marco and Rialto Bridge is to the other but both are easy to get to from this hotel by water bus and by walking. All of Venice is lively but the main places to visit are St Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge and Piazzale Roma. Murano and Burano are definitely worth visiting. Burano was very beautiful. This was my first visit to Venice and I loved it so much that I will definitely be going back. Can't fault it or the great location of this hotel. Mehr

We checked into Bel Sito with high expectations. The location was terrific and the service great on arrival... However, the property itself is very dated and had an old musty feel and smell to it. The AC was malfunctioning at first and was repaired after the first night, but we were uncomfortable because the bed was hard and the pillows almost like […] boards. We asked for softer pillows and the replacements were more like slabs of foam rubber than what you expect where you are paying higher than average rates for three nights... Nice quaint hotel off the busy path, true venitian style as small but charming. Breakfast is good out on the veranda and very nice in the morning waking to the sound of the church bells. Practically a straight walk right into San Marco Square with access to shops, gelatorias, gondolas, and sandwich stops along the way. The bathrooms are recently upgraded […] and done well (temp of water changes very quickly in showers though), and beds are relatively comfortable (pillows a bit firm). After the last hotel that I stayed in in Venice, I wasn't really sure what to except, but I loved this hotel! The staff was great, it was close to the Piazza di San Marco, there is a vaporetto stop 2 blocks away, the hotel is relatively quite and I even had a little balcony. I would absolutely stay here again.

Hôtel au charme un peu désuet, idéalement placé dans Venise à 1 minute de la place St Marc et de la Galleria Accademia. Personnel aimable. Petit bémol, les chambres ne sont absolument pas insonorisées, prévoir les boules Quies !

房間很少，但整齊潔淨，有個小露台，很有小鎮風味，大堂職員十分友善，很樂意解答任何問題，很答謝他們介紹的餐廳，十分滿意，亦主動替我們book位。酒店位置相當近碼頭及聖馬可廣場，十分方便。

Hotellihuone oli kaunis kuin koru ja kylpyhuone suhteellisen uusi. Huone oli tosin kovin pieni, mutta koska yövyimme hotellissa vain yhden yön, oli se meille riittävä. Meillä oli lisäksi parveke, josta oli näkymät sisäpihalle ja kattojen yli. Sijainti oli mielestämme erittäin hyvä.
