Comfort Inn & Suites near Comanche Peak - Glen Rose

Very good hotel except the bed is very hard. Staff was very accommodating. We forgot something at the hotel and they held it for us. Honesty is important.

Overall there wasn't any major problem with the hotel, but there were little things that just made the experience unpleasant. We were there from Friday to Sunday. When we arrived on Friday, there was a piece of a french fry on the floor of the elevator. When we left on Sunday, the fry was still there, along with some extra trash and dirt. Our room key […] card was inoperable most of the time - we had to go back to the lobby multiple times just to get into our room. And the guy at the front desk said they've had problems with a few of the doors. So why did you put me in the room if you knew there was a problem? Or couldn't you get it fixed? It is a fairly new hotel and in nice condition, but they just don't pay attention to the details. Mehr

We traveled to Glen Rose for Dinosaur World, Dinosaur Valley State Park, etc. The best thing we found was at The Comfort Inn & Suites near Comanche Peak. Serendipity! When we checked-in, we were told that Dinosaur tracks had been discovered behind the hotel and a paleontologist was currently working the dig site. Sure enough! The site is immediately […] behind the hotel and, at the time of our stay, volunteers were welcome to help excavate. What an amazing opportunity! The paleontologist, Jerry, is very affable as are the other workers. My son was DELIGHTED to be part of a real dig--all within view of our hotel window. Mehr

This hotel adds a $1.50 charge to your bill "in case" you use the room safe. If you want it removed when you leave, you have to ask. There is a small sign on the counter stating this, but I'm sure most people don't see it and end up paying the $1.50 without knowing it. Also, check in and check out took FOREVER! I don't know if the guys couldn't work […] the computer or what. He kept going back and forth between them and wan't telling us anything, like what the problem was. Therefore, when you leave and try to get that charge of $1.50 taken off, be prepared to stand there a while! Mehr

We recently stayed at this hotel during a family vacation. It was close to the Dinosaur State Park and Big Rocks Park which my boys loved! The location was nice with cliffs surrounding the pool area. The breakfast was plentiful. The staff was all friendly and very helpful.

Very nice hotel with pool and deck. Rooms nicely furnished and comfortable with soft beds. Lots of pillows and other comforts make this an exceptional place to stay.

The hotel is set back off the road with a large building in front and a limestone cliff behind. Because of this it is as quiet as a morgue at night. The quality of the hotel is better than most peoples homes, so a stay here could be memorable. The showers a fine, the bathrooms clean and inviting, and the towels were not like sandpaper. Clean rooms, comfy bed, great staff. Close to a wonderful pizza place, cute boutique, and historic downtown Glen Rose. And just minutes away from Fossil Rim and Dinosaur Valley. Will highly recommend and will stay again.

This is an excellent choice if you are in the Glen Rose area. Clean, quiet and fairly new

The place was easy to find, the room were better than expected. The only tip Id have to give is to ask for more pillows or bring your own. We enjoyed the breakfast before taking the kids to the dinoworld except for the bad tasting oj but I think that had to do with the bad water there. It was a pleasure staying here! The local water tasted a litte strange, so I used bottled.

the hot tub was terrific as was the resteraunt in front of the hotel. the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful.

ALL OF IT WAS GREAT, ROOM, POOL, BREAKFAST, STAFF (ALL BUT CHECK OUT LADY-KINDA RUDE). YES-WE WILL STAY THEIR AGAIN. ALOT TO DO IN THE AREA.

Wonderfully clean, very nice hotel. If you cannot decide, whether to pick this one or the Holiday Inn across the street, definitely pick this one. Comfort Inn and Suites is great value. Salt water pool.

We stayed in a King room and it was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. We loved having a small fridge in our room as well as the safe for laptops. We will definately stay here again and recommend this great property to family and friends.

We were in town to visit the state park a few miles out of town. There was alos a livestock in town at the same time so the hotels in town were very busy. Even though the hotel was close to full we recived outstanding service. Pool area was clean with plenty of towels. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The front desk clerk was friendly and suggested […] a restraunt to eat at. Breakfast was fresh and had a good selection of pastries and drinks. Overall the stay was very pleasant. Being in a small town and not necessarily one of the ""Top Name"" hotels we honestly weren't expecting much. But were quiet surprised. It is a very nice, clean and comfy. Seriously we both were talking about how comfy the bed was hours after leaving. Totally the best Hotel bed we've ever slept in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Pool was just right temperature.

The hotel room was just as planned and the air conditioner was even better! We've never stayed at a hotel with such good a/c!

My autistic grandson and I went to Glen Rose from Dallas to go to the local attractions. The Comfort Inn was in a convenient location to all of our needs. The young man on the front desk made some recommendations for our evening meal. The room was quiet and the continental breakfast was great.

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for two nights with our seven-year-old. Everything was meticulously clean -- the hallway carpets, the room, the elevator. The room and bathroom were very spacious, and very clean. I recently stayed at a four-star hotel in Minneapolis, and this room had everything that the more expensive hotel had. The free wi-fi is […] a bonus. The desk staff went out of their way to help out. We checked in a little after 9:00 PM, and when I asked if there was any coffee left in the breakfast-area coffee pots, the registration clerk offered to brew nme a fresh pot. He also got me a glass of milk from the refrigerator for my son. Overall, great service and terrific value for the money! Mehr
