Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber aber ein bisschen klein (was aber in NY auch nicht anderes zu erwarten war). Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Nur der Fruehstuecksraum ist ein bisschen zu klein geraten, sodass es morgens schon einmal eng werden kann. Das Fruehstueck ist nicht ueberwaeltigend, aber ok. Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage. Wonderful. If I get back to New York I would stay again

My 9-year-old son complimented the staff on the comfort of the bed and pillows. Also loved the always available fresh apples.

Location was great, but the rooms were extremely small and the walls paper thin. Clean and the staff was nice.

The room was much smaller than anticipated, no room for the roll-a-way that was requested. Although there were no roll-a-ways available even if there had been room for one. Location was wonderful, close to subway and Time Square.

I have been very often to New York, and never tried this place before, the location is fantastic, the rooms are great, the complimentary breakfast is great, overall I will go again

great staff! they will do almost anything to keep their hotel guests happy. check out is at 12, but if your flight, train, or bus leaves much later & you want to do some more site-seeing, they will lock up your bags free of charge until you return. nice!

If you are spending any amount of time in the hotel while in NYC you don't want this hotel. But for a place to crash in the heart of midtown, this is the place for you. Breakfast is very crowded so go early to avoid the jam packed lobby where the buffet is located. Actually pretty well appointed for a free breakfast. 2 blocks to Times Square and Rockefeller […] center and steps from great shopping on 5th ave. Mehr

Room was very small and carpeting was very dirty. Adaquate for 2 people but really small for a family of 4. Free breakfast is a plus.

Awesome location! I went to NYC to see Oprah at the radio city music Hall, and I was literally less than a three minute walk away. The room was very small, almost as if it was built around our king size bed, but to be fair we also had a crib and a stroller in those two things take up a lot of room. Good

I've stay here several times since it is close to my office and my commute from Central New Jersey gets hectic and long when I have to work late. While some of the rooms are small they are clean, modern and have the amenities I want. In addition, the complimentary breakfast is a plus! On the last day of my stay I didn't have to go to the office and […] I "lounged" for a little while and brought the breakfast to my room before I checked out. What a treat and it really helped get my batteries charged for the rest of the day. The staff is always courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend and oh ... did I tell you the rate is a bargain compared to other NYC hotels!! Mehr

Right across the street is a club or something and all you can hear until late into the night is loud, 80s music. Otherwise the hotel is perfect. Great location by 5th avenue, and a few blocks from Broadway.

We will definitely put this on our list for New York hotels to use.

Hotel location is perfect... A lot of important tourist places in the area... Even though it's a bit small... I still liked it...

Very nice people front desk , rooms are too small, they don't classified rooms for a people they does not smoked .

This was a nightmare. From the moment I walked in till three hours I checked out and got another hotel room. TO CHARGE such prices for a one star hotel take this off your list !! There are many other selections out there for far less. Holiday Inn Express is a rip off and should be closed down. WHAT A JOKE. And I will be getting a refund!! The lobby when you enter the hotel is very ordinary. The rooms thought very comfortable, were very very small. We had a room in front of the hotel and had a hard time sleeping as it was very noisy outside. Breakfast was excellent, the best part of our stay although not enough room to sit everybody. Had breakfast standing a couple of mornings. For having […] lodged at the Belvedere last year for even a bit cheeper (that hotel is also ranked a 3 star) I thought it was quite superior on all levels. Mehr

The hotel was very close to Times Square and not a long walking distance to everything else! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was also great!

My stay at this hotel was most enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to all.

If you want great proximity to all things Times Square, stay here! Our room was comfortable and for the price we couldn't be more satisfied. The lobby is tiny for meals but since breakfast is complimentary guests should just be happy. We were pleasantly suprised by the hotel. Staff was great. Will be here again soon!

We spent 2 nights in the city and at the last minute decided to spend 3rd. Well, our hotel didn't have availability, so I went on Hotels.com and book at this holiday inn express. The price was HALF of what we were paying right up the street and the location was so much closer to time square!! The room was small, but no smaller than our first! Free continental […] breakfast & wifi. We walked from the hotel to Madison Square Garden and back 2 times for Hockey games. Also, very close to the subway!! Great Hotel for the Price!!! Mehr

Room neat and clean, a little small but it is NYC, great location between Time Square and Grand Central. Good added value with morning breakfast but it could not be set up worse. No flow to it, people on top of each other trying to get to food. Lobby is in the middle of remodeling so that might be the cause but if that was the normal set up it needs […] help. Only two elevators so the wait is a little long at times but stairs are right there if you can't wait. Would certainly stay there again if the rate is right, nice find. Mehr

The lobby was still under construction even though when I called I was told it would be finished. I would also have loved having a few more pillows in our room. but the staff was very friendly (got us extra towels, toilet paper, and helped fix our tv.) the room, though small, was very clean and quiet and I was glad we were able to control the temperature. […] the hot breakfast helped us save money, which was helpful since the american girl store was only a few blocks away. The hotel lobby is under construction. Dust, noise, lobby closed off at times so you have to enter and exit using a flight of stairs. Not convenient when carrying luggage. No services, only vending machines that accept cash only. I had booked for 2 nights but left after 1. I would never have booked this hotel had I known about the constuction.

I picked this hotel because of the location, and it is very well connected since it's really close to Times Square. However, the hotel is under construction which was a bit of a bother - the street entrance is hidden, and the majority of the reception area is closed off because of the renovations, and it's very dusty. Our room was also rather small, […] and very compact. We had all the amenities, but wish we had a little more space. It's small even for NY! Mehr

The hotel is under renovation so the lobby was quite dated but our king sized room was clean, but small. This hotel is in a dynomite location, just 3 blocks from Times Square, is clean and simple. A decent price for a hotel just three blocks from Times Square. The room was nice and clean but VERY cramped...smallest hotel room I've ever seen! The lobby area was under construction so it was quite messy. Breakfast was served at a deli a few doors down the street, all you can eat buffet! Parking was pricey, $105 for the weekend and the hotel picks […] up $35 of the charges although the garage wasn't real convenient as it was around the corner on the next block. The hotel was currently undergoing renovations on the first floor, so the breakfast buffet vouchers they offered for the Manhattan Cafe a few doors down (which by the way had GREAT food and selection for breakfast) instead of INSIDE the Holiday Inn. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom only had a stand-up shower (again, that […] is what you should expect when getting a NYC hotel room) and no bathtub. The elevators were also being worked on, so at certain times of the day (especially around breakfast time when there's a rush to get to and from breakfast) there was a small delay in waiting for the elevator as a small queue of people would easily form. The location is AMAZING, super convenient to all main attractions, you can easily walk to Times Square or Grand Central or Bryant Park, all very nearby: 5 to 15 minutes away. The HIE was a great place to stay and met all my needs. Convenient location, restaurants, subway, bookstores nearby. In the heart of the city and about a $8 cab ride to the different places we went. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.
