Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.

Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

Das Hotel ist eines der Top100 aller historischen Hotels in den USA und hat die Platzierung absolut verdient. Es ist frisch renoviert, hat sehr viel Flair und ist sehr gut gelegen zu Downtown.
"Close to Centurylink Field"
Great place to stay if attending event at Centurylink Field. Rooms are clean. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are very friendly. A bit pricy but worth it for the comfort and location. Parking is valet only, the garage is couple blocks away and expensive. Suggest parking next door at public parking for the day the move vehicle to park on street at night. […] Street parking is free after 8 pm and free on Sun. We only stayed one night so this worked well for us. Mehr

Walking distance to the fields and the bars and only slightly uphill to get back to the hotel. Good value.
"Comfortable luxury"
Stayed at the Arctic Club for Easter weekend. Loved our corner room, very comfortable and clean, high ceilings. I've lived in downtown areas, so accustomed to street noise at night, but if not I would request a room on the upper floors. There was a wedding reception there that had loud music but couldn't hear a thing when in the room, only in the hall […] way. Never order room service, can't comment. Had a mini bar, priced at usual mini bar prices. Downtown clears out at night, so dont expect to be in the center of the action coming evening. But easy cab or extended walk. Downtown has several large hills, the Arctic Club being on one, just so you know. Parking was valet and not cheap, but friendly and easy. There are garages around there too, but preferred to pay a bit so to come and go as I wanted. Bed was crazy comfortable, bathroom nice size shower and whirlpool tub decent. Interior lobby is very nice, old but beautiful, exterior entrance very nice architecture. Great stay, as I said, only issue is street noise if you are used to absolute silence. Mehr
"Missed warnings, break downs, noisy neighborhood"
After talking to the front desk we were told it was ok to park in the adjacent garage but were warned it was "unsecured". This was not true, the garage was locked up for the weekend which made us stranded in Seattle an additional day. We had 3 electrical items, including the air conditioning break down in one day and when the room was cleaned the next […] day they did not replenish coffee and creamer. Throughout the night there were police sirens in the echo of downtown skyscrapers. To his credit and after much negotiation the front desk manager contacted the garage manager and we were able to get our car out Sunday morning, however there was another couple that stayed at the hotel in the same situation, we don't know if they ever got their car out. The Hotel is a really cool notalgic atmosphere, go check it out, but don't stay there Mehr

"Beautiful Hotel, Service not so great....."
The hotel was close to restaurants, we walked everywhere. The service was less than, our room was not ready at 4pm (check in time), although we had called earlier requesting an earlier check in time, they declined....saying the room had to be cleaned. They had 2.5 hrs to clean it before 4, and it still wasn't done when we got there at 4....frustrating […] when we had to get ready for dinner reservations, and the bell service delivered our bags (from our car, not the airport) late as well. No one offered to help find the restrooms, just overall sucky service. Dissapointed, as three girlfriends away from the kiddos & hubbies for the weekend...Gorgeous hotel though. Mehr
"Wonderful hotel, lots of character"
They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. It was the location of my friends wedding, and the building has an absolutely stunning interior. My room was very comfortable, definitely worth it to upgrade to the jetted bathtub. My only complaint is that there were too many incidental charges. A USA today shows up at your door in […] the morning unless you call the desk and tell them to not deliver it. They charge you .75 if you don't call the front desk. Seriously? How about I call you if I really want to pay for this outdated from of media. Room service was also unbelievably over priced and very average. Too many fees tacked onto everything. Ended up paying about an extra 100 bucks for parking, ordering dessert, and random incidentals like that worthless newspaper. I would return, but with a better eye on any charges that might come my way. Mehr

"Lovely time at the Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle"
The staff at The Arctic Club Seattle was tremendously friendly. This included people at reception as well as valet. They offered to help us look up where we needed to go, even printed directions for us, recommended late night dining options and provided delicious hot complimentary cookies at checkin and checkout. Our room was clean and comfortable for […] what looks like an older building; we had a very stylized suite facing a construction site, but hey, I don't spend a lot of time gazing out of hotel windows anyway. Our stay was on a weekend, so I'm not sure if the construction would have been noisy, but that's not the hotel's fault. Wi-fi seems to be less abundant in the Seattle area in general, but the hotel offers free wi-fi internet in the lobby. All in all we had a great 1 night stay! Mehr

"Arctic Club in Seattle"
Great experience in a grand old hotel marvelously renovated. Lobby bar was very inviting and comfortable. Restaurant and its bar were nicely located and the staff were very accommodating, although the menu was nothing special. Very well located for most downtown Seattle experiences and activities. Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at the Actic Club 11/7-10/11, and I loved the whole feel of the place as soon as I walked in. I travel a lot for business, and this was possibly the best hotel experinece I have ever had. The location was great, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous, the bar was just supurb - and Viktor, the bartender, was a real professional. The housekeeping […] staff did a great job and were unobtrusive. The valet parking attendants were professional, and the desk staff was friendly. Am I forgetting anyone? I didn't order any food or visit the restauarnt downstairs, so I don't know how that was. The room itself was very comfortable, and I absolutely loved the coffe station touch. They gave give you a hot water pot, a french press and a bag of Starbucks coffee! I can't wait to go back. Mehr
"Big Suprise Was A Shocker"
The Artic Club Seattle/Doubletree is a magnificent landmark building, but I was shocked to find the beds made up in sheets and pillowcases that were very untidy and looked as though someone had slept there before. The desk clerk came to my room and assured me the linens were clean, but that the hotel laundry no longer presses and irons them. I wonder. […] This is, afterall, a member of the Hilton chain of hotels and what would the late Conrad Hilton think! Could the Artic Club be the weakest link in their chain? I found the bed linens so awful that I would not book this hotel again. The sheets and pillowcases were absolutely wrinkled and in terrible condition even though the room itself appeared clean. This hotel was amazing, I would for sure stay here again. We were only town for a quick weekend trip, but this hotel was smack in the middle of downtown, made everything very easy to walk to. The best part, besides the amazing ambience of the old fashioned hotel was upon check in the give you WARM chocolate chip cookies!!!!

"Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle terrific location"
The hotel is a couple blocks to the waterfront. It is also a few steps away from the Link Light Rail exit at Pioneer Square. The Light Rail is an inexpensive and fast way to get from the airport to downtown Seattle. It's an interesting, old hotel, very comfortable. Lounge and billiards table in lobby. "Arctic Club, Seattle"
Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of character remaining in the building and rooms, even with the recent work. Has a historical charm, but the room could have been a bit bigger. Handy for the King Street Station and with the free buses downtown, it's only five minutes to Pik Place Market etc.

"Almost perfect"
Did not appreciate being woken up at 8 a.m. by a lady with a clipboard telling us we had to vacate the room because it was after checkout time. Probably some mixup. Otherwise, the hotel and amenities were great, restaurant very accommodating, staff very friendly, other than bar-tender who curtly sent me down to the water urn at the end of the bar because, […] unlike my companions, I was a non-drinker. The worst place we ever stayed at. Small room. Instead of a jacuzzi we got a tub. I hated that place. The worst place we ever stayed at . Everything was really old. It was really warm in the room and there is no air conditioner in the room. There isn't even a pool!!in addition, There was no where safe to park. We paid a fortune and were highly disappointed. "Great Service - Good Location!"
I'm a sucker for great service and this hotel did not disappoint! A little hard to locate when you get into town because they signs are neutral color but once you get there, it's a dream! About 15 blocks to the market place and moderate to walk if the weather is nice. Would stay here again and again!

"Great Art Deco example in the heart of Downtown"
This hotel is wonderfully restored to it's 1920's look. There are many details to be admired from the Walrus stone work outside the building to the tiling in the bathroom it feels as though one has stepped back in time.

I LOVED this hotel, the building and the public areas are just beautiful, very cozy and welcoming in the the cold and gray Seattle weather. The rooms, beds, bathrooms, and chairs are super comfortable and well-designed, and their renovation of this wonderful historical building are incredibly true to the period, and to the people who built this fabulous […] place. The staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, with suggestions and directions everywhere. The location of the hotel is outside of the commercial bustle of Downtown, a plus for me, and much closer to the charming Pioneer Square neighborhood, which I much prefered. It's easy to grab a cab or a bus to get to any other neighborhood, so while the location isn't delightful, the hotel itself makes up for it. I am very much looking forward to the next time I can stay at this completely unique place! Mehr
"Great, convenient hotel"
We really enjoyed our room here. We had a king size bed, whirpool tub room. The room was very spacious with two chairs and a table in between them for us to sit in after a long day of traveling around the city. The whirpool tub was great for relaxation too although it was a bit short for my fiance and I as we are both 5'11. We never ate in the hotel […] although there are a bar and a restaurant that are available. A great thing about the hotel is that it's located on 3rd and Cherry St. so it's easy to take the light rail here from the airport and it's convenient to take a bus to different parts of Seattle or to just walk around the downtown. It's also close to Pioneer Square if you want to go down there. One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the art deco styling. I loved, loved, loved the interior and exterior of the hotel. I also loved the warm chocolate chip cookies that they gave us at check in. The Arctic Club is a beautiful, efficiently, professionally run hotel that I would visit again. Mehr

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The employees were very helpful with giving us directions to the places we wanted to go. We were late nighters while staying there and the gentle men at the front desk helped us find food as in a great pizza .Our room was awesome and cozy. We were treated very nice. "Really nice staff and not to far from everything"
Really enjoyed my stay. We went for valentines day and had a blast. The start of it was a lil rough with trying to check in but from the point on had no problems. Hotel is in walking distance from pikes market. Water front. And shopping downtown. I highly recommend this hotel.

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The location is great-right in the heart of downtown and within easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see on your first trip. I have stayed in Seattle several times over the past few years and no hotel has been like the Doubletree Arctic Club. From the moment we arrived, the service was top shelf. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect because it is right next to the Seattle Link light rail station providing access to many local […] sites without needing to drive. The room was reasonably spacious and very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. We had a whirlpool room and it was very comfortable and relaxing. My only complaints are that they don't provide free internet access and parking is very expensive if you bring your own vehicle. Any hotel that still charges for internet access is behind the times. If I am paying X amount to stay at a hotel in this day and age I expect to get free wireless in to my hotel room. To have to pay a fee for a 24 hour period when I just want to check out local places for dinner and attractions is a bit much. Granted the hotels staff are great at recommending places and have local maps with restaurants and such I just […] don't think you should have to pay for wireless when staying in a upper scale hotel.
