Embassy Suites Norman - Hotel & Conference Center - Norman

Our overall stay at the hotel was fantastic, but there was one thing that could have been better. The last morning of our stay we went down for breakfast at 9 am and the lady, that was dressed as the chef, just ignored my husband at the omelet station!!! Breakfast was not supposed to be over til 10:30!!! So unless you get down there at 6:30 I guess […] you won't get to eat. Also there was hardly any other breakfast left. Needless to say we checked out and went somewhere else to eat. Mehr

We come to Norman, Oklahoma for volleyball tournaments annually. The hotel we usually acquire a room from was booked. We ended up staying at Embassy Suites hotel. The hotel was understaffed in the reception area. The room was not clean. When we opened the door to the suite, we immediately saw silly string on the walls, on the floor and on the couch. […] When we attempted to call the receptionist clerks to inform them, no one answered. During our stay, Norman, Oklahoma was experiencing thunder storms; however, we desired to swim in the indoor pool. After attempting to call the reception clerks several times, we finally reached a clerk and inquired if the pool was open due to the storms and her response was, “I don’t know.” I asked her who I would talk to in order to find out. She said, “I don’t know.” From the cost of the hotel room, I expected better overall service. Next year, I will make sure I book my room earlier in order to stay at our usual hotel where the rates were much cheaper, and the service and cleanliness were much better. DISAPPOINTED!!!! Mehr

Great hotel!! Would highly recommend it. Try and stay on the upper floors. Noise level is lower higher up.

We were so pleased as we are hotel snobs,the rooms were clean and you can't beat free free happy hour and breakfast .its also near shopping and 10 min from OU.

Great stay and close enough to OU !

Stayed in this hotel while on a four-day visit with family Christmas/New Year week. Staff was friendly, attentive to our needs and made us feel right at home. Very pleased with our lovely, modern decor & finishes in the king bed/sleeper sofa 2-room suite. Kitchenette counter top was spacious enough to accommodate our eat-in needs, along with spacious […] mini-fridge and microwave. Also appreciated having a safe right inour room as well as plenty of storage and seating areas; two flat screen TV's. Bathroom was roomy with granite counters & tub/show surround. Chef-made-to-order breakfasts in the dining area, indoor pool and exercise room, as well as large lounge area nestled into lots of live greenery, fountains, etc. Seemed to be family-friendly as there were several (well-behaved) children taking advantage of the hotel's comfortable atmosphere. Somehow things seemed to run smoothly at the reception desk whether it was business men, families, or a bus load of athletes checking in or out. Hotel was centrally located near plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely stay there again when we are visiting the area. Mehr

We very much enjoyed our stay at Embassy suites. The hotel was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

As always this hotel was wonderful! Have stayed here numerous times both with extended family and without and they always seem to please everyone.

Easy to find and very accessible to sites and locations I needed to find. Staff was very efficient and helpful. Loved the food, beverages and snacks.

This hotel was beautiful! I highly recommend.

I reserved a room at this nice hotel for my husband for his 50th Birthday. We have been here before for events, but never stayed. I loved the indoor pool area and hot tub, which was one of our draws since my husbands arthritis really benefits from hot tub use. We went down to the pool area 3 times between 9 pm and 11 pm to find it overrodde with children, […] children playing football across the area, etc. It was not at all relaxing. We also were interupted constantly in our room by children running up and down hall and playing on elevator. It was a complete waste of my money! Mehr

Love this hotel, but had some problems this time - all with the breakfast. Stayed 2 days, the first day we came down and there wasn't a buffet. There were 20+ people in line waiting for the omelette service which was apparently the only hot food you could get. The omelette man was working alone too, felt so sorry for him, but he kept up and it was delicious. […] I did ask why there was no buffet as promised, and was told they don't open it unless they have a lot of people. I counted the line - 33 people when we sat down still waiting, some with kids. Very frustrating, noone was happy. The next day, we came down, in pajamas mind you, and the buffet was open. Everything was great until we got ready to leave. As we walked away from our table, the head restaurant guy commented loudly (so we could hear) how it was funny that the people with only 2 in their party were tipping big, while the ones with large parties weren't leaving anything. We have 5 in our family so his message was loud and clear. We were in our PJ's? Didn't know we were supposed to bring our fat wallets to a serve yourself free breakfast, or what in the world you would tip someone for there, looking at us? We got our own food and drinks? There were a few waiters who would come around occassionally and take an empty plate...I don't know? Does that warrant a tip? Or a loud, rude comment if you don't tip? Very unprofessional and very disappointed in the breakfast both days, and the attitudes of the restaurant staff (except omelette man, he deserves a raise.). Mehr

This hotel was wonderful!!! Everyone was so nice, if we needed anything they were right there with an answer. We would go back!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was welcoming and there was a lovely view since we were on the 9th floor. Maybe it is common wit all hotels, but the coffee shop was only open from 6-12 noon. I'm accustomed to coffee in the afternoon. The girl standing across the way at a closed restaurant offered to get us cups of coffee at no charge, which was nice. […] The hotel decor is lovely. Mehr

As soon as we walked into the hotel, it was so inviting. I liked the small check in kiosk areas. It seemed more friendly than the long, stand in line, desks. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, as was the entire hotel. The managers reception is a most gracious gesture. It felt like you were in someone's home. And the breakfast was delicious, had […] healthy choices, was hot, and the tables were very nicely set. I liked the spacious area where the food was located. The pool area was top notch. Large room, great pool, windows all around, and plenty of seating. No complaints! All the employees were very friendly. It's a wonderful hotel to stay in! Mehr

I loved staying at the Embassy Suites Norman. I was in town for a wedding but it felt like home! I was traveling alone and I felt very safe in this hotel. LOVED my room! So cozy and had enough space to spread out. What a great place to stay!

This hotel was fantastic! My family of 4 spent two nights here during a holiday and had a great time. The attention to details was amazing. There were books and entertainment for little guys, the swimming pool is large and has plenty of places for family to gather and watch the kids play, breakfast was fantastic! My family and I traveled for the holidays and stayed at this Embassy location. Overall, it is a great hotel with great rooms and made to order breakfast. We did encounter a few problems on this trip unfortunately. The breakfast area seemed understaffed and they began running out of items such as syrup and cereal. Secondly, the pool area ran out of towels […] and my family and I nearly had to leave the pool area without drying off. While we made due on both instances, it is just not the quality I expected from Embassy Suites. Mehr

Best of all the pre-arrangement and reservation systems I have tried in the past. Embassy Suites is fairly new in Norman, OK and the facilities and services are tops.

I Would recommend this hotel to anyone

Had a lovely stay here. The room was perfect and close to shopping. Easy to get to. We'll be back!

We recently stayed in one suite with 6 family members. We were quite comfortable. The hotel is very new and attractive. We enjoyed taking the glassed-in elevator to the 10th floor and looking down on the beautiful lobby. The included breakfast in the morning was amazing--a full buffet plus foods made to order. This hotel was wonderful! It was very clean, comfortable, and roomy. Staff was very hospitable. Breakfast was excellent with the ability to order omelets, waffles, pancakes, and French toast in addition to the food bar. We were within 10 minutes to the University of Oklahoma. We will stay there again!

Nice hotel. New building. Great service from the staff. The manager was especially helpful when we wanted to add an extra day to our stay, but the hotel was sold out. She monitored cancellations and made sure things worked out for us.

I LOVE this hotel. Great hotel for family trip or meeting. Had very nice Mothers Day brunch, and lots of small kids over for a great vacation. I really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this hotel. Free breakfast, free happy hour beer, nice indoor pool, and good restaurant.

My family met here for mothers 80th birthday celebration. 26 people in all. Hotel was more than accomodating in providing a place for cake and ice cream. Breakfast was awesome

This was our second year to stay at this hotel during the Christmas holiday. The staff was amazing. The room is excellent and the breakfast omelet was cooked to order. just cant beat staying here.
