We paid $244 for one night thinkin it will be a better quality hotel. It def wasnt a super 8 but def wasn't a Hilton either. Thr other guests were rude and inconsiderate. The lady workin the breakfast bar was really nice and stayed busy. The elevator took forever and once u finally got it, it took forever to get to a floor. Lighting in the room wasnt […] very adequate. Just expected a bit more quality for the price I paid. Shouldve stayed in PCB 2 nights and got a condo for the same price per night if not cheaper and would've had a better time. Mehr

stayed 4 nights during a PCB spring break. was able to get a cheaper stay because it isnt beach front but not 2 far of a drive to get there. there is public parking w/ beach access you can drive to. cleanliness of room not a 5 because 1 day room service forgot 2 clean our room. otherwise clean. only one elevator that is VERY slow. taking the stairs […] isn't bad. coolers not allowed in rooms (or kegs, but that is a little more understandable) but it wouldnt be 2 hard 2 sneak em up. only entrances are through the front and pool area. had to pay a $250 deposit. staff told us they would give us armbands to wear inside the hotel at all times but they were never distributed. the suite I reserved online said it had a full kitchen with a balcony. I did not reserve an "accessible" room but that is what we got. there was no balcony, the "full kitchen" was basically a full size refrigerator w/ miniature stove top, miniature dishwasher, & huge microwave. they provided 2 plates, bowl, & 1 fork, 1 knife, 1 spoon. The "suite" was just one room + bathroom. no counterspace for eating & no tables in the whole room. windows did not open. room & bathroom were spacious. A/C worked. maximum of 2 parking passes per room with $10 replacements. (there was an armband replacement too but the paper we signed listed the replacement fee once at $10 and in another place at $25.) some other rooms had "balconies" but there literally wasnt room for more than 1 person to stand at a time. They tried to make it seem like a fancy hotel by charging out the nose & gave you a sub-par room by jamming two queens in a room fit for one (they put them toe to toe), the bathrooms were shotty at best and there was the constant smell of sewage. Not impressed. The staff was friendly though. Only highlight.

My husband & I stayed as part of our 25th Ann. trip & had a great experience. Everyone was VERY helpful esp. Sean! The other front desk people were nice too but Sean was VERY good. The room was good & always cleaned very well! I would recommend it! We would consider staying again the next time we're in FL.

Not a good experience. TV mounted on wall in such a way that you can not view it well from either living area or bed. Asked to switch rooms and was told this is the way it is in every room. Liked staying at this hotel for one night to volunteer for FL Ironman. Hawthorn had just bought this hotel from another company. Outside of hotel has been renovated. Would expect for them to update the interior. Room was comfy. Sitting area, kitchen. Hotel also offered a small breakfast. Not far from anything in PCB. Would stay here again.

I was given keys to one room, and when I opened the door a man was lying on the couch watching tv. When I went down to the desk, they gave me another room. It was to be an upgrade, at first the card to open the room would not work. The worst of it was the huge spot light shinning in the room, so it was like daylight. Pro: breakfast, clean, curtious staff, an alligator, and nice sweet for a single or couple. Con: design of rooms - bathroom door was in bedroom with no access through living room, so in the middle of the night everyone had to go through bedroom to get to the bathroom. Difficult to enter parking lot.

Clean, clean and clean... I'm a nut for clean and this place filled and exceeded my expectations. The staff was outgoing and interested in making our stay in PCB the most enjoyable possible. The breakfast was outstanding. Hallways and elevator were very hot but other than that a 10 all the way round! Well Done!

My family & I stayed at this hotel and it was really nice. There was a little bit of trash like under the bed that I guess couldn't be seen but I found it when I was laying on the ground. The pool was small, but nice for families. There could of been a little better breakfast, but it was good for the price we paid for a night. The first room we had was horrible. The minute you stepped off of elevator heat took your breath away & the smell of chlorine was terrible. The room was small & the box springs & mattress should have been in a landfill somewhere. It was absolutely the worst we had ever seen. Staff was unlpleasant. I called the front desk on numerous occasions and got no answer. A man knocked on my door at 11:15 and rudely told us that check out was at 11AM, when in fact it said 12PM on the door. On the way out, there were two staff members benhnd the desk and they stood there doing nothing while i struggled to open the door while carrying […] my luggage... I would recommend this hotel to ANY of my family and friends! It was very clean, all the staff were excellent, and even the breakfast was great. We stayed during the 4th of July and there were no rowdy kids or disturbances like in those beach front hotels. Its located not even 10 min from several public beach access walkways, and about 15 minutes from […] Pier Park. You can easily get to anywhere on front beach road or anywhere in PCB and if you'd like to venture into Panama City itself, its located right by the bridge. I have not one complaint. I very much enjoyed our stay. The front desk was very friendly and accomodating. It was quiet, not on the beach strip, but not too far away. The room was very clean and was spacious enough for my husband and I and two grown kids. We had the room with two queens and a pull out sofa. It was a good place to stay the room was decent, but I think the carpet could use some cleaning. Other that that the room was clean and comfy. The full size fridge and hot plate make it a nice place to stay for an extended stay or if you have a large group.

We loved it! You'd think that staying at a hotel off the beach would make you feel a little bumed or unhappy, but honestly I don't believe ill ever stay anywhere else. Everyone was so welcoming and super friendly! there's not one desk clerk that didn't talk to us and be wonderfully nice!!! I'm very happy that we stayed at Hawthorn Suites :)))

The staff at the hotel was very friendly. The location was great everything was within driving distance. The only problems I had was I was told the room would have a sofa bed and it did not and room service for cleaning was very slow about coming around to clean the room,take trash, and clean towels.

One elevator for a four story hotel. Elevator was slow and made noises that made me think it was not going to work. Beds were very uncomfortable. Room was clean but seemed old and had a mildew smell. This hotel was really great! Room was very nice, kitchenette, clean and always smelled nice. Very close to Front Beach which is the main strip. Not far away from Club La Vela as well. Ducked off by itself so no outside noise from surrounding area. Great!
