Durch die Nähe zu Key Largo ist das Hotel ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die alle Aktivitäten im Pennekamp Statepark oder Schnorcheltouren in der Key Largo Gegend. Ein Tagesausflug nach Key West kann man auch machen, aber bei der dafür nötigen Fahrzeit sollte man besser eine Übernachtung in Key West oder Marathon mit einplanen. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers […] mit Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle ist sehr vorteilhaft, auch wenn die Mikrowelle in meinem Zimmer durch die unsachgemäße Benutzung eines Vormieters äußerlich hygienisch nicht sehr vertrauensvoll aussah. Da die Anlage insgesamt sehr groß ist, kann man sicher, wenn man mit dem Zustand der Geräte Probleme hat, das Zimmer wechseln. Mehr

Zu meiner Person: Weiblich, 25 J, mit einer Freundin verreist. Das Hotel liegt in Homestead und hat eher einen Motel-Charakter (nein, es liegt nicht an der Autobahn).. Aber es ist kein Typisches Hotel, in dem mehrere Zimmer in einem großen Gebäude sind, sondern diverse "Gebäude" über je zwei Stockwerke. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und groß. Das Frühstück […] war amerikanisch und nicht wie angegeben kontinental, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Zu den Everglades und Nationalparks sind es nur 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Ansonsten gibt es in der Nähe nicht viel zu sehen. Das Hotel empfehle ich zu 100 Prozent weiter. Mehr

Auf dem Weg von den Keys nach Miami ein Stop in den Everglades war eine Übernachtung ohne großen Anspruch ok!

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig zu Miami und den Keys. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, mehr aber nicht.

Als Ausgangspunkt um Tagestouren zu machen ist dieses Hotel optimal. Es liegt direkt am Hwy1, führt direkt über die Keys, man ist schnell in Miami und hat nette Lokale, Bars und die bekannte Shopping Mall ums Eck. Das Zimmer, sowohl das Bett als auch das Bad, war sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Zudem haben wir uns an einem inkl. continental breakfast […] erfreut und es gab einen kleinen Pool zum erfrichen. Sehr praktisch empfanden wir auch die Parkplätze direkt vor der Zimmertür und die Tatsache 2 Keykarten fürs Zimmer zu haben. Mehr

Sehr nettes Personal, große Zimmer, sauber, Frühstück ok (für amerikanische Verhätnisse;-)), super Lage, Parkplatz in der Anlage, Touristeninformation direkt gegenüber des Empfangs, Preis nicht zu schlagen.

dieses Motel ist zwar billig, aber bei dem gestank in unserem Zimmer konnte ich fast kein Auge zumachen. Zudem war es sehr hellhörig (schlecht bei der Lage zwischen 2 vielbefahrenen Strassen) und die Umgebung war auch nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend

GROUNDS OF THIS HOTEL LOOK GREAT. ROOMS ARE VERY DATED. BEDS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. BREAKFAST WAS SIMPLE BUT GOOD. POOL ARE WAS GOOD. CLOSE TO GOOD PLACES TO EAT AND SHOPPING OUTLET MALL. HOTEL STAFF NICE AND HELPFUL. ROOMS JUST NEED UPDATED.

Hotel was full so could not check in at 2pm as the rooms were not ready. A request for a ground level room was honored and was appreciated. An older hotel with maintenance issues. For the price it was satisfactory. There was a lot of sirens all day and night for both nights. Good location for a day trip to Key West.

Very nice hotel, better than 3 stars that we stayed prior to this one in Kissimmee, The room had recent models of auto air conditioner, microwave and mini fridge. Even thought hotel is close to the highway, haven't heard any sounds. Very recommend to visit. especially if your target is Key West.

The hotel is older but is extremely well cared for and clean. The grounds are immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful. You need to add another star!

As someone who lives in Key West but shops in Miami we are always looking for an inexpensive place to stay when we come to the Mainland. This hotel was clean, no frills. Breakfast was ok just a basic continental. Room was basic but clean. I would reccommend if you are looking at a basic room for one night prior to going to or coming from the Keys.

Pool was full of sunscreen scum. Rooms appeared remodeled and very clean. Convenient and reasonably priced for a short stay in the area.

My husband and I checked in a little after 5 p.m. and were greeted by very rude staff who were socializing amongst themselves and continued for almost 15 minutes while my husband and I and several other guests were waiting. When we were finally checked in and given our room key, we arrived at our room to find the door wide open and the room was filthy. […] What I couldn't figure out was why we would be checked into a room that had not yet been cleaned. Not to mention check in time at the hotel was 2. p.m. and here it was going on 6 p.m. When we went to go inform the staff of the situation, we were only rudely pointed to a sign in the lobby that said "no refunds". I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The price may be low, but definately not worth it. Mehr

We Were Pleased With The GREAT Location, Enjoyable Stay, And Surrounding Conveniences (eg, Walmart, Fashion Outlet, Denny's, IHOP, Etc.). The Staff Was Excellent, And Very Helpful... Thanks For A Great Stay Before Our Cruise.. Would Highly Recommend!!

Convenient location before going to the keys, lousy breakfast, bad wifi connection.

Liked the place. Layout encouraged people to mix/chat. Breakfast area was a bit cramped! Room was looking dated; the renovation that some have had is needed. Decent restaurants within a short distance.

At the price they charge you would expect a premium hotel with a premium location. Breakfast was average but included. Went to Miami after one night and got much nicer location and food for half the price

I can not recommend this motel. Took 20 minutes to register. Overwhelmed clerk was taking multiple calls while there was a line of 5 different paid customers trying to get keys. Next morning found that the fridge was barely working. Asked for a replacement but was told there were none. An hour later found sugar ants pouring out of the electrical outlet […] near the sink. Complained and was given a new room. There were several available and fortunately there was on in the same unit. They were not going to provide us any help. Funny that they had not fridge for us, but had multiple rooms available. Mehr

You wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two here, the real attractions are farther south. But if you get into MIA late and plan to drive down Rt. 1 to the Keys, this is a good value. Rooms are clean and comfy enough, nothing spectacular. But the price is right and the location is good.

We stopped en route to Key West. The place was nice, well-lit, and clean. No internet access in the rooms (very low connectivity). The breakfast was your standard "continental" breakfast - fruit, cereal, bread, jam, coffee, etc. The staff is friendly and co-operative.

I was skeptical from the reviews, but wound up very pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, did not smell, front desk was very friendly, we had what we needed. We spent 2 nights in rooms 104 & 105. We will be back next year in January and plan to stay there again. It is a hotel but one of the nicer old ones with upgrades.

You get what you pay for. Nothing more or less. The room was clean but old furnished. Homestead is a very shady place and we only stayed one night as the location is perfect as a gateway to the everglades (ernest coe visitor center). Wi-fi was extremely slow, 1.13mbps. and there was no coffee machine.

Stayed at this location, overall clean but woke up with over 50 Bed Bug Bites! Definitely will NEVER stay here again...

Was very nice for the price. Right on the main road, close to stores and short drive to Everglades national Park. Was quiet and decent breakfast.

I was there for only one night, so I may not have gotten a complete experience, but it was pleasant enough. Pretty clean, except I did see a silverfish on the carpet at one point. But unlike a couple of other motels in South Florida I have stayed at, this room did not stink at all, so I was very happy about that! Guest service was very nice and friendly […] to me. Very close to a Starbucks, which advertises having a drive-thru that is open 24 hours, although it hadn't seemed like it the night I stayed there. But the McDonalds nearby is open 24 hours and the coffee is cheaper there. Pretty nice area, laid back - I wish I could have stayed longer. Of all the comparable motels I had stayed at over the same week, this is the only one I would recommend and would want to go back to. Mehr

hotel itself is good, but the maid on front desk never smile, looks unfriendly at all.

Enjoyed our stay overall, but the breakfast area holds a handful of people and so it is chaotic during breakfast time. Otherwise it was clean and quiet and comfortable.

We stayed here on our way to Key West and we were very pleased with the hotel. The reviews I had read were not great so I was very glad to see they were not all true. The people working at the desk were not very nice to me or other guests checking in but other than that they have done a lot of updates and the rooms and hotel grounds were very clean […] and the staff other than the people at the desk were very nice. A good clean hotel that has recently updated and remodeled. It was a great find and served us well as a place to sleep for several days while in Homestead for racing. The breakfast was almost non existent.

1. The address of the place doesn't show up in GPS correctly. I talked to the front desk about it and they said the address is correct, but the GPS is not. The address is off of Highway 1, not First Avenue. Doesn't make sense. 2. The continental breakfast consisted of pastries, muffins and crappy "Folgers" tasting coffee. 3. The showtime listing schedule […] was two months old. I talked with the front desk, a lady there said, "Oh, I don't know. We don't keep a stash of them at the front desk. maybe the Maid has some." I'm like "what!!???" They should be keeping a stack of them for people that need the listing. It is called CUSTOMER SERVICE! 4. There was no coffee pot in the room. How can a hotel/motel not have a coffee pot in the room? It is a standard amenity!! 5. The bed was kind of hard to almost lumber grade. 6. The chain between the handle and inside the tank to flush the toilet, broke. I talked with the front desk in the morning and told her "The chain broke and needs fixing. We will be out of our room, the DND sign is up, but go ahead and go in." She said okay. We returned in the evening and the toilet was not fixed. I talked with the front desk that evening and she said "The maintenance person is not allowed to go inside the room when the DND is on the door." Well, the front desk person should have told me, but all she said was "Oh, okay." 7. Also the town sucks. it doesn't cater to any vegetarian people (at least a veggie burger please), but rather carnivores. We will never stay in this hotel again. Mehr

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Key West. The room were clean. Plenty of parking space. Continental breakfast was OK. I guess for the price we paid it was fine. Our only problem: there was a large tent in one side of the hotel property. We didn't worry much about it until it was time to go to bed. There was a large party in the tent with absolutely […] LOUD music. It was an hispanic (I think?) party that lasted until midnight. We didn't learn our lesson so booked another night on our way back from Key West. There was a party again that night, an Indian wedding which lasted till midnight as well. I mean the music was really really LOUD. Because I like this kinda of music, it didn't bother me much but it was LOUD! So beware. I would ask the hotel first before booking. We were there in 12/2011, the week before Xmas. I think this his how the hotel supplements its income during low season???? Mehr

Not sure why someone would stay in this area execpt if going to the races and the Homestead Speedway in which case you are very close and reverse travel for traffic. Otherwise, why?? Bed was good, frig and micro. bathroom small, room small, cost high. Drive on unless going to the races.

We arrived very LATE at the Inn, but was greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk female receptionist. The room assigned had 2 holes in the wall and debri from the intrusion. We took pictures of the wall and returned to the front desk. The Receptionist immediately apolozied and assigned us another room closer to the office which was very clean, […] smelled much better and in good condition.... Iam telling you this b/c we appreciated the different room. ALso, the entire staff (Frt Desk - Hsekeeping) were EXCELLENT & The Inn has a small Refrig.& Microwave. Its was great for us b/c we needed to feel safe and affordable during our long 9 Days stay! We did not want loose ... A cleanilness for a safe enviorment! We had some excitment, but its never the place... its the people who work and stay there(guest and/or Staff) I would recommend this Inn but stay near the office.... Mehr

For the money this hotel was fine. They even had a room ready and let us check in early. All the help seemed polite and professional.
