Das Hotel ist nett aber 4 Sterne sind es leider nicht. Fahrstuhl fährt nur bis zur 5. Etage in die 6. Etage muss man laufen. Auswahl beim Frühstück war dürftig. In der 6. Etage hingen offene Kabel aus der Decke. Die Hauptverkehrsstraßen direkt vor der Tür führten dazu, dass man das Fenster nachts nicht öffnen konnte. Das Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig ca. 300 m zur U-Bahn und zur nächsten Tram-Station. In 10 min ist man in der City. Wir hatten ein Drei-Bett -Zimmer gebucht, ( da 3 Erwachsene) bekamen aber ein 2 Bett-Zimmer mit Aufbettung , dieses war für einen Erwachsenen jedoch nicht akzeptabel. Nach Reklamation wurde das Zimmer problemlos in ein Appartment getauscht […] und ein großes Einzelbett hineingestellt. Die Zimmerausstattung und die Bäder sind neu und komfortabel. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichlich und gut. Das Restaurant und den Wellnessbereich haben wir nicht genutzt. Der Wellnessbereich ist kostenpflichtig. In einem Vier-Sterne Hotel erwartet man jedoch eine kostenlose Nutzung. Die Preise für das Restaurant erschienen uns im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Gaststätten zu hoch. Mehr

Das Hotel ist gut zu finden und zu erreichen. An sich schönes Hotel mit gut ausgestatteten Zimmern: moderner Flat-TV mit USB-Anschluss (aber NUR 6 tschechische Sender!), Safe mit Fingerabdruckscanner, King-Size-Bett mit Riesenkopfkissen und -decken. Das Bad war klein, aber modern, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, inklusive Haargummi, Wattepads, etc. Das […] Frühstück schien zunächst abwechslungsreich und ausreichend gedeckt. Leider wurde bereits eine halbe Stunde vor Ende der Frühstückzeit (10:30 Uhr) nichts mehr nachgedeckt und bereits um 10:20 Uhr alles weggeräumt, obwohl noch neben uns bestimmt ca. 8-12 Personen beim Frühstücken waren!!! Das ist dann leider stressig, wenn man bangen muss aus dem Saal geschmissen zu werden :-/ Fazit: Ein an sich schönes und sauberes Hotel mit ganz guter Lage, jedoch nur für "frühe" Frühstücker geeignet. wir, eltern mit 3 kindern im alter von 5, 17 und 18 jahren haben dieses hotel wegen der guten bewertungen gebucht. trotzdem war der empfang eisig, die rezeptionistin war nicht in der lage einen warmen empfang zu bereiten, lächeln ging garnicht und sprechen fiel schwer. das zimmer unserer söhne war ausreichend groß, unseres hatte die selbe größe, aber […] leider war es sehr eng wegen des zustellbettes unserer tochter. zimmer und bad waren super sauber, frühstück war okay, die sachen die in einem warmhaltegefäß angeboten wurden, eher kalt. ich hatte mir bei einem 4 sterne haus mehr komfort erwartet.das zimmer war viel zu warm, obwohl wir die heizung ausgestellt hatten. nach dem reinigen durch das personal stand das thermostat wieder auf 3. fenster konnten wir nur bedingt öffnen, da das hotel an einer hauptverkehrsstrasse liegt. Room was very clean and in a nice neighborhood. A little farther than I expected from the central shopping area (15-20 minute walk), but it was cold and it might not be so bad in summer, and the metro is only 5 minutes away. Friendly and very helpful with places to eat, how to get there and what to see. Breakfast was satisfactory, but not great. The staff at breakfast made it nice. No lotion in the room, so bring it with you if you have dry skin. Beds (two twins) were a bit old, but we were out a lot so we slept fine. Slow lift, but it's also to be expected in an old hotel. Good hotel, nice staff. The aircon was funny so it was really warm in the room, we probably just should have asked them to fix it though. The neighbourhood is really boring but there is a mini market on the way home from the tram stop, that's pretty practical.

The hotel is in a great location. 5 min walk from the tram. 10 min to the national museum and 20 min walk to the old town. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. The breakfast is excellent, full buffet . The rooms are spacious somehow old but the bathroom was totally new. Great stay

In the last 10 years, I have bothered to write maybe two or three reviews....only when I'm completely blown away by an unusually good experience and good value. Being from the U.S., I get irritated quickly when hotels screw up simple things, like no shower curtain (so water flies everywhere), or a/c controls that you need a manual to figure out, or […] a TV that's 90 off to the side of the bed. Everything in this hotel made sense and I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The price just made it that much better. The staff was as nice as I've ever come across and the location was just 7-10 minutes from the heart of Old Town. Perfectly quiet. Surprisingly inexpensive for what I was provided. I didn't have a bad experience at the Green Garden, but there are a lot more convenient hotels in downtown Prague. I wasn't expecting parking to be such an issue, but it was. The cleanliness was spectacular and the bed were so comfortable that we did not want to get up in the morning. The continental breakfast had a large selection to choose from to satisfy the most exigent of palates. I would definitely stay there again. It is very conveniently located to public transportation and restaurants and is within a 10 minute walk from Wenceslas Square. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful.

Four nights in an excellent European hotel. Wonderful and helpful English speaking staff. Hotel restaurant has charm and a tasty menu, ( ask about piano days)... the outdoor patio is relaxing, should one chose to have cocktails or meals served. For breakfast, you have a large selection of meals. Subway is about two short blocks, also one of the Hop-on-Hop-off […] buses. Train station is one stop by metro. The city bus stop is also close. There is a good selection of resturants nearby. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have an Old World charm to them. WiFi always worked very well. Would stay at the Green Garden when in Praha. We really enjoyed the hotel. Older, but remodeled with a friendly staff, clean rooms, and a good breakfast all at a reasonable price. They have larger rooms, so it is a good place for families or groups traveling together. Also it was only about a 7 minute walk to the nearest Metro and Tram stop, so a good location to get around Prague.

You can easily go to the old town from here. If you are visiting Charles University its a 5 minute walk from here. The only minor minus with this hotel is that the ambulances often use the road outside the hotel so if you get a room facing outwards to the road can the ambulance bother you a bit. Nice personale, good food. Clean and cozy rooms.

Green Garden Hotel is clean, well maintained hotel. The room was comfortable with room to store luggage and backpacks, while maintaining ample floor space to walk around bed and to the shower. Nice additions were the in room safe and make-up/shaving mirror in the bath. We were on the top floor which required walking up one flight of stairs, however, […] this was not an issue for us. The view from our window across the Old Town and Lower Quarter to Prague Castle was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful, and like most service employees in Prague, spoke perfect English. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and catered to a variety of tastes. There is a small bar that it convenient for an afternoon expresso or early evening cocktail. We did not try the hotel resaurant. The hotel is located a short walk from the subway. Prague's subway is very basic and super easy to navigate with stops at all major attractions. Buy the unlimited daily transport pass, it works for train, bus and tram. Good value. The neighborhood is quiet in the evening and feels safe. We slept with the windows open and were not disturbed. We plan to return to Prague and would definitely stay at this hotel again! Mehr

The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately we were only staying for a couple of nights so did not have time to eat in their restaurant as we wanted to see Prague at night, but breakfast was fantastic - lots to choose from and all fresh. The Green Garden is really good value for the money; the rooms are nicely furnished, high ceilings, clean with modern bathrooms, mini bar, tea and kettles for the brits (supply your own coffee) and small tvs with one station in each language. The breakfast buffets and cooked breakfasts are wonderful, the receptionist and hotel staff were friendly and […] helpful and the bar and restaurant were of a really high quality in keeping with the character of the hotel - ie, wooden salon bar with tables and chairs and music tv and pillared restaurant under a glass roof with piano music at the weekend.The only downside is that it is a little bit of a hike to get into any places of interest and not convienent if you are the type who likes to pop home for a rest after lunch. Being on the main road into the city, it can be noisey at night and for couples, you probably would want to take a car into the city at night if eating out rather than walk down the slighty shabby main road to the metro. The hotel was only 5 minutes walk from the Metro and Tram Station and also within a 10 minute walk to the city centre. We had a Superior room, which was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Our flights meant carrying luggage around until check in, one e-mail and i recieved one back to say the luggage room was available until the room was ready , same when we left we it so nice not to have to worry . The hotel was clean , breakfast good so much variety. Could not fault the service.

The bedroom was bigger than expected - very attractive decor and lovely bathroom. There is a tiny TV set that you can barely see from the bed. The bed was not a queen bed as expected - two single beds put together. If you lie in the middle of the bed, the two mattresses begin to separate! There's a safe for your valuables, with finger print recognition […] locking - very neat! Breakfast was nice - cereal, fruit, eggs and bacon. Vary your breakfast times though if you don't want the same pop songs every morning - they play the same tracks in order. Heard 'You're the one that I want' from Grease just a few times too often!
