"Als Golfsport schön und gut"Bewertet von W aus "Mullheim, Dtld." am 11. Apr. 2012
Habe Hotel wg Golf gebucht.

On Feb 13th, at 2 am, I had been out drinking with a friend. We did not want to drive drunk, so I booked a room thru Hotels.com. When I arrived the hotel clerk said I couldn't check in until 2pm. He charged me full price. He stated that I should have booked on the 10th. I explained that it was after midnight when I went online, so there was no way for […] me to book on the 10th. Then after taking my money, said that I couldn't cancel the room because I needed to do it 24 hours in advance! There was NO possible way for me to do that! The next morning, econolodge said they would not cancel the room! Hotels.com basically said "too bad" there's nothing we can do. Thank goodness my bank reversed one of the charges! I would never want to be placed in a dangerous situation like that again! And wouldn't recommend this hotel to an enemy! If he had a room available, the responsible thing for the clerk to do was change the time... since we were checking out in the morning anyways! Mehr
It's definitely one of the better of the low budget motels. No pimp or prostitutes or drug dealers hanging out.
"Econo Lodge"
The service is absolutely horrible. Both evening and morning, the two different people made us feel like we were unwanted and bothering them. REally bad experience.
"Funny odor in room"
Even though the room provided was a non-smoking room, it still had a strong smoke odor. The sheets might have been washed yet it had blood stains and other unmentionables.
"Noisiest room ever!"
We had a room right under neath the stairs and we could hear everyone go up and down. there for we dint get much slleep.
"GLAD I STAYED HERE"
LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS IN SAN DIEGO ON A WEEKEND ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. BUT HOTELS.COM DID IT. THE ROOM HAD EVERYTHING, MICROWAVE, REFRIG.COFFEE MAKER, IRON AND WAS VERY CLEAN. EVEN HAD A SMALL CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WHICH I HADN'T EXPECTED. AND ALL AT A GREAT PRICE. I'LL BE BACK..
"Econo;podge in Lemon Grove"
This hotel is one of the worse. The lady at the reception barely speaks english and is very loud. The room smelled like an ashtray and it made me throw up. Ciragette butts all over the parking lot!.. A lot of "strange woman" and "strange men " coming out the rooms. Dont go there unless you are a chain smoker....
staff was very nice. My daughter arrived at the hotel ahead of me on day two (i got lost and had both the keys). They were kind enough to let her in after phone verification with me. They allowed us to book another room right next to the one we had reserved. The rooms left much to be desired. There were cigarrette hole burns in the comforters, the sink […] and bathtub would not drain and the toilet would not flush. When I asked if someone could come to our room and take a look at it I was told no one on duty over the weekend but there was a plunger in the lobby if I wanted to come get it. We tried plunging the toilet and it overflowed out into the room. We had to use all the room towels to clean up the mess and thank god we brought our own towels because when we asked for more room towels we were told due to a water and supply shortage we were limited to the towels in the room...there was also some couple arguing outside all hours of the night and the police finally came and it settled down. We only live 2hours away so we ended up checking out early and driving home to sleep comfortably in our own beds!~I would not recommend this hotel Mehr

"An okay place to stay; a quick drive from SanDiego"
It's not glamorous, but it will do. And you're close enough to freeways to get to the Gas Lamp District, Balboa Park, or the San Diego Zoo.
"Waste of Money even if it is cheap"
This place was cheap but you still don't want to spend your money there necause you want get any sleep. Could hear everything through walls. Stains on sheets. Bed was so hard and not comfortable at all. Room smelled like smoke. Bad part of town. Just very run down hotel but still kind of expensive. I wish I would have stayed at a Holiday Inn or somewhere […] a little nicer even if it was $20 more. Mehr

"Econolodge in Lemon Grove"
was a good place to stay next to San Diego but you need the car because it's 15min from Downtown. Maybe a little bit noisy some nights but I was staying 3 nights and in general it was ok. Breakfast was good and there is a good wireless connection

"Econolodge in Lemon Grove, CA"
While the room itself was fine, the parking lot was not. Someone needs to clean up trash that is left behind. The breakfast was awful: coffee sub-par, bakery goods so-so, no cold cereal. The surrounding area was dicey. The motel is next to a Home Depot and there were migrant workers there every morning looking for work. No one bothered us, but still... The […] motel is on a major road through town, so it was noisy with vehicular traffic. The motel is extremely convenient to downtown San Diego, just a 15-minute trip. Mehr

"Econo Lodge Lemon Grove - decent for the price"
I stayed here as it was close to the Optimum Health Institute where I was picking up a friend. Lemon Grove isn't a garden spot at night, but I didn't feel unsafe while staying here. It primary attraction for me was its location, and it proved a clean place to crash for a night - nothing fancy.

"Lemon Grove stay"
Nice room, small but in good shape, has been remodeled and updated a bit. Bed was a bit firm, TV no LCD, nice desk for working on laptop, wi-fi was good, breakfast was sparse and not very convenient (small office, not much room to move with others in there). Great location if you know the area, fairly easy freeway access, many food locations within […] a short drive. Good location to hit many San Diego attractions, great for me - close to family. Mehr
"Pleasantly Surprised"
I am not a hotel snob and am totally ok with this level of class normally. The Econo Lodge exceeded my expectations for any hotel of this class; we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our only problem was when we got lost getting there, the man working the front desk couldn't explain how to get there either, he even sent us in the opposite […] direction. Mehr
