Very nice hotel but unfortunately the construction going on around the neighbourhood and roadworks/detours made it an absolute nightmare to get in and out of the hotel by car. We won't be staying in this area again until construction work is complete.

Right on JBR walk where all the action, facing the beach, just cross the packing lot to the beach. pleanty of restaurants and cafesn within walking distance.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights . I was disappointed with the check in. Expedia had a small logo saying VIP access/ upgrade. The check in desk didn't believe me I had to search for it myself on expedia website and the net was so slow, it took me 45 mn and I was treated as if I was lying. Furthermore I arrived on a Thursday and was on 8th floor the […] music was way too loud, moved to 16th floor, had to wait 30mn for bell boy to pick luggage. I forgot all my money and tickets in safe and only realized the day I was traveling at 2 am ! The front desk managers were absolutely wonderful mr.bhattia and mr tamer allam. I got my purse back at3 am! They waited till guest returned and contacted him to get to safe. The pool is pleasant the walk to the beach is disastrous where you have to cross a large car park plus construction nearby. The pool area is very pleasant though but they can improve in a major way on the coffee. It is a very clean hotel, and if u like a happening place this is the hotel for you, right by the jumera beach walk in proximity of restaurants and cafes plus a arty atmosphere on weekends Thursday to Saturday . This is a very well run 5 star hotel at the Jumeriah Beach end of the city. We arrived after midnight and the reception staff were friendly and efficient in our check in. Not so good for check-out. The room was a good size and everything was very clean and well maintained. A bit away from the major sites but the person at reception told us about the […] Metro which is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The only irritation was the exhorbitant charge for wifi internet - the only time on our entire trip which covered a number of European cities and towns. Other than that, I would recommend the hotel. All staff very helpfull, the hotel was in a great location. The staff in the club room could not do any more for you if they tried. I read in other reviews that there was a problem with lift times but I would say I had no more than 30 - 40 seconds to wait at the most. I would say this is one of the best value for money Hotels I have stayed at.

The hotel was good. Spacious clean rooms. We upgraded to a full sea view rather than partial which we are not sure if it was worth the extra, as we didn't look at our original room before upgrading! We were disappointed one day that our room wasn't cleaned after being out from 8am til 3pm, and as we were travelling with a baby he needed to sleep on […] our return so it wasn't helpful that they were then pestering us to clean our room! Overall pretty good. Hotel restaurants v. expensive but nice, especially Italian outside by the pool area. Service and friendliness of staff excellent. One tip, Make sure you book any trips before you travel. We didn't and were told by the hotel tour company we couldn't do a bus city tour with a baby, so they tried to book us on a private one for £300!! We spent a whole day walking round to find another tour operator - they don't exist- and when we got back to the hotel there was information waiting for us about trips we could book through Expedia, which they should have given us on arrival! Very frustrating as we wasted most of a day when we only had 2 days there! Mehr

The hotel was fantastic and lived up to all of my expectations. The location is brilliant. Literally on the beach and with an absolute huge host of restaurants, bars and cafes next to it so you can eat to your hearts content. The rooms are very spacious with a good view of the beach. There are taxis on the door step and the metro is 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. The pool is well maintained and of a good size. This was a last minute holiday, and booked approximately 1 week before departing. By this time, there was not much available. However, this was extremely reasonable priced and on Jumeirah Beach (v. short walk, with direct access from the hotel.) Prior to departing, phoning the hotel we discovered that we had already been upgraded to Club Rotana, and […] therefore transfers to/from the airport were already included. Which was handy. We were travelling with our 2 boys aged 3 and 5. Unfortunately, on arriving (around midnight), we discovered that there was only one bed! Although we had specifically stated that this was a family of 4. But the hotel stated that they had not charged for the children and therefore an extra bed would cost more. The boys ended up sleeping in our bed anyway, which was probably a king size, without too much of a problem. The Hotel insisted that Hotels.com had not informed them about the need for another bed. Offering a free baby cot! Apart from this, we had a lovely relaxing break, as it was near the beach. They had 2 pools, one larger and one suitable for toddlers. The smaller pool did not get much sun, so it could be quite cool around that pool. Overall it was good value for money, compared to the prices of other Jumeirah beach hotels. Club Rotana upgrade was not of much use to us, as they did not allow children after 6pm, when canapes etc would be available til 8 ish. Otherwise it was mainly for a separate breakfast area, from the main restaurant, or afternoon tea. (I would not pay for this upgrade). It is a nice 5 star hotel, but does not really stand out. The service was good and the staff friendly. We would probably try somewhere else on Jumeirah beach next time, (if we booked early enough, and spent that little extra.) Mehr

What an amazing experience! My husband and I stayed for only one night, to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in a sea view suite, with the Club benefits. The suite was amazing, especially the bathroom. The club lounge was lovely and offered great snacks and drinks at the perfect times of day. Excellent service! Would love to go again.

Very good value BUT because of the solid wall of tower blocks behind the hotel, the pool does not get the sun at all until late p.m. Choose a room with a sea view as the rest look directly out onto a solid wall of towers. The hotel is in a very busy part of Dubai close to the Marina very handy for restaurants but it has it's drawbacks. I had a room on the 8th floor to start with and couldn't sleep due to the constant noise from outside. The noise from the road on the "strip" or front is significant and this continued right through until well after 2am. I was moved to […] the 20th floor and it eased the problem from the street but the neighbours and staff managed to wake me regularly at all sorts of different times. The internet was like many hotels in Dubai expensive and very slow, Ok to get e-mails but useless for anything else! I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment but the room service was very good. We did not have free access to internet from the room, and it was expensive to get it. You had to go downstairs and use internet in their business center. The people who work there are wonderful and very helpful. 2. Loved the location being so close to an area where you can walk to other restaurants and shops. 3. The hotel was very clean and all the rooms have a balcony, great for smokers. 4. All the rooms have a sitting area, much better than sitting on the bed all the time. 5. Stayed at the Amwaj Rotana for the first time in Dubai. I've previously stayed at a few other hotels nearby in Media City and up in Bur Dubai. The Amwaj has certainly been the nicest hotel and location I've experienced so far. I have a lovely beach view where I could see the Palm and Atlantic though it was a bit too hot to sit out and enjoy. The check-in was a little slow and inefficient, even when I was the only one checking in and I hate it to be inefficient honestly.. and the area in front of the lifts were overcrowded by guests and diners. We had a spacious room overlooking Jumeira Beach which the staff kept clean and tidy albeit at times very late in the day ( 5 p.m. ).The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful but on occasions had to be reminded to carry out a particular request for action. My wife and I were concerned that there was no normal access by stairs from the […] ground floor to the first floor and the first floor to the second floor.We felt that stairs between these floors would not only provide easy access in the event of an emergency but also reduce the number of people using the lifts. I choose this hotel based purely on price, plus we wanted a beachside location. Being a new hotel they were offering some excellent rates. Although I am a regular visitor to Dubai, this was more of a leisure trip for us; this was therefore the first time that we had stayed out at the relatively newly developed JBR location. In retrospect, it was a little […] far out from the mainstream activities, but the hotel itself more than made up for this small inconvenience. Taxis are cheap and plentiful in Dubai. We booked a Club room which was exceptionally comfortable, with quality linens, flat screen TV and a suburb king size bed. Housekeeping was always prompt with attention to detail. Irritatingly internet access in the room was chargeable, but free in the 25th floor Club Lounge. All Staff were attentive and overall service excellent. The only downside that we could see was the fact that the view out over The Jumeriah Palm Island was somewhat spoilt by the building site immediately in front of the hotel - but such is the state of much of Dubai ! Taxis were readily available right outside the hotel, we never had to wait irrespective of the time of day. Many restaurants’ and activities are available right outside the hotel along The Walk and The Plaza - great for families. I would definitely stay here again if on a leisure trip, but for business I would probably book a hotel nearer town. Mehr

Very impressed with this hotel. My room was huge and had a fantastic view of the Beach and hotels on the Palm. The walls were solid too as I didn't hear any noise from the adjoining bedrooms. Kan varmt rekommendera detta mycket trevliga hotell för en familjevistelse. Mycket engagerad och trevlig personal genomgående. Enastående service! Istället för att köpa till frukost valde vi Rotana Club Member och fick tillgång till Loungen högst upp på 25 våningen, där det serverades frukost, afternoon tea, evening canape (smårättsbuffe) med bubbel […] och drinkar. I loungen var det även fri tillgång till kalla drycker och Wi-Fi, hela dagen. På kvällen fick barnen inte vistas i loungen, istället fick de beställa mat från room-service menyn som också ingick i paketet. Vi betalade bara något mer än vi skulle göra om vi endast valde frukost. Nära till stranden, nära till restauranger och supermarkets. Rent och mysigt poolområde. Hotellets alla rum har utsikt över havet. Rummen var mycket fräscha och moderna. Sammantaget så finns det egentligen inget negativt att framhålla. Möjligen att ett stort bygge pågick mellan hotellets framsida och stranden. Detta störde dock inte alls. Tvärtom verkade de flesta gästerna tycka att det var väldigt intressant att följa utvecklingen från första parkett. Mehr
